The gym has loads of equipment for all different types of training like free weights, treadmills, machines, and is spaced out fairly well. The only downside with the gym is sometimes it will get too busy and there will be a wait time for machines, but there's loads of different variations if you need them, other than that it is amazing. The recreational center has more than the gym itself, it also has exercise class rooms like cycling and zumba, multiple basketball courts, an indoor track, and even a rock climbing wall with staff to help newcomers. Overall this center has something for everyone and I have personally loved my experiences here. I would positively recommend this space to anyone looking to meet new people or just fill time in your day.

It's a great way to get my head off the stresses from school and meet new people who have similar interests to myself. The faculty have all been nice from what I've seen and interacted with. It's mostly college students here at Kentucky. Most of the negative online reviews focus on the gym's layout, which is next to the basketball courts, and I would have to agree that this is probably the gym's weakest point. I don't like that there are two floors to the gym and that it is so crowded. But if you go at the right time, I'm sure it's similar to every gym. Other than that, there aren't many negative things I could say about it. I've enjoyed my experiences so far and plan to keep going to the Johnson Center in the future.

One lady was doing both sides (front where you get tickets and back where you get skate rentals) and so there was a little wait but it wasn't a big deal. The prices are fair I give them that ALSO they don't charge you for bowling shoes which YOU MUST WEAR in order to bowl. So, you'll have to march your butt back out to pay for those so do this up front. Also out of the 6 lanes they have only 2 were working and not even half way through the game our lane messed up. And apparently the teenagers or extremely young adults they have working there don't know how to fix anything though I have to say one of them did try to help, and even after being moved to the only other working lane that had opened it messed up as well and they did refund our money.

We wanted something interesting to do and we have never driven off road, so Hollerwood Park was our choice. We rented a Polaris RZR and spent 4 hours on some incredible trails. They have anything from easy to outright insane. We stayed on the easy green trails. The four hours is not nearly enough time to cover just the easy trails and if you are adventurous there are even more advanced trails waiting for you. The Polaris was in excellent shape, almost new. It was a pleasure to drive. The suspension on the machine made the rough trails smooth. There was some mud, so keep that in mind as you pick your clothes. Dress like you are going on a hike. It was a total blast. The experience was totally worth it!

Hollerwood is an epic park and if you have never been you are missing out. They have everything…read morefrom easy to extreme. The park itself is easily located and pulling rv's in and out is easy. The trails are all well marked and most hard lines have bypasses that we found. This is a gem of a park located near some great restaurants for food and drinks. If you are out near this park I highly recommend it. We did it last year with the Great American Crawl and had a blast.
