Many were active and getting to watch snakes move around without fear of them biting me was awesome! There were also turtles and a few alligators, and the snake presentation was interesting. We were in the area on a crappy rainy weekend looking for something to do. We thought we'd take a chance on the Kentucky Reptile Zoo. I was impressed with the diversity of reptiles they had, especially for being so remote. I was also really impressed with the staff. It's obvious to see how much they love their jobs and care about all the animals. We were lucky to have been able to see a venom extraction. It was very interesting and informative, and the seasoned vet performing the extraction was very open and willing to answer questions any of us had. They're doing really great work at the KRZ, with a lovely and passionate staff. I would definitely recommend it!

Their snacks are on the healthier side to give kids more energy (although honestly we all know kids are little energizer bunnies). You are able to book them for private events which is fantastic. It isn't unusual for parents to bring a laptop with them to do work at the coffee bar area while their kids run around. I'm so glad this place opened up here! We definitely needed it.
