INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER CARE AND SERVICE!!!…read more I'm writing this review with a headline because after 4 years of ongoing dental work, I still choose Dr. Sam Castillo over every other Dentist in Stephens County because of the exceptional level of care and quality. I could literally write an essay about how well everyone at Dr Sam's practice has treated us because myself, my wife, and my daughter are all patients at Castillo dentistry. My very first visit was an emergency call bc of an abscess tooth. While they do accept a lot of different insurance, I had none, had never been there, and had called several other dentists in town, but no one could work me in before the following week. I spoke with Serena and told her my problem and she had me in the office a few hours later that same afternoon. Dr. Sam took time to listen to everything I told him, got the abscess under control, and got the tooth out. Since I've never had insurance it's important for me that I get the best care possible on a tight budget; after an emergency visit, 2 x-rays of the abscess, the extraction, and 2 follow up visits because of a dry socket, the whole ordeal cost me less than $300.00 because they didn't even charge me for the follow up visits, and both were walk-ins. On two separate occasions I had a stubborn infection that took almost 10 days to get under control and Dr. Sam always worked me in and saw me himself to make sure he was aware of my personal care, adjusted my antibiotics, and made sure that even though I had these incredibly painful infections I was as comfortable as possible. He and his staff have always treated us with something better than professionalism, they have always treated us like family. Something I would like to add is how personal and friendly the staff in the office, as well as the hygienists and assistants, are. Serena and Matt are the husband/wife team who are usually your first point of contact and they always set the tone for a great visit. Serena is Dr. Sam's daughter, and she works alongside her mom, who is a hygienist herself, in what truly is a family business. The last thing I'll say is that I am personally impressed with the fact that Castillo family dentistry is proudly Christian owned and operated. They don't cram Jesus down your throat, but you can feel the genuine love of Christ in every interaction, with every single person, every single time. Christian music is playing and there are devotional materials to read as you wait, and there are other spiritual materials available to take with you if you choose. If you're still reading, I apologize for this lengthy review. But after 4 years of care for myself and my family, I have a lot of good things to say about Castillo family dentistry. I encourage anyone who needs dental care to go meet the family at Castillo dentistry and see why I say that they are not just friendly to my family, they are friends. My experience with Dental Associates of SC was a breath of fresh air…read more I had been suffering from multiple toothaches and earaches for many months, but my previous dentist couldn't find the source of all my pain. I did know I needed a root canal. The tooth was visible when I smiled but I had a giant cavity and wasn't sure if I'd able to keep it. On my first Dental Associates visit I had a cleaning and X-rays. The hygienist was friendly and tried to make me feel comfortable. The office was also pleasant. The patient chair faced three large windows overlooking a beautiful leafy wooded area that eased my initial anxiety. Dr. Ross, who has a Doctorate in Dental Surgery, had a calm, yet authoritative manner that reassured me. His exam was much more thorough than my previous dentist's, and he found some problems the other hadn't: a new cavity and a cracked filling. Although new dental problems are never good news, I was relieved; finally there was hope that my pain would end. My second visit was the root canal. Although root canals don't have a great reputation, this one was as comfortable as I can imagine one being. Dr. Ross and his assistant constantly asked me how I was doing and if I needed a break. It has been a couple of days since the procedure and the tooth feels so much better. The pain had become so much of a constant that it's almost shocking not to have it anymore. And best of all, I got to keep my tooth. I'm going back soon to get my permanent crown and get the other problems taken care of. And I'm not dreading it. If you are looking for a good dentist, I highly recommend this one.

The billing manager called me back to say the we could do a new upper set for a very reasonable price, With my insurance deductible.
