Unfortunately, the experience ended on a disappointing note due to communication and billing issues. When we arrived, we discovered there was an additional 2.7% credit card fee that had not been disclosed ahead of time. More concerning, about 30 minutes into the flight the pilot descended to land because he believed we had booked only a 30-minute ride. We were surprised because we had clearly scheduled a 1-hour sunset flight two months earlier, and our name was even listed on the schedule board for a one-hour tour. After we clarified the misunderstanding, we went back up and completed the full flight. However, when we landed, we were told the total would now be $775 because we had gone slightly over the hour -- even though the extra time resulted from the earlier misunderstanding, not from any request on our part. After discussion, the total was slightly reduced, but we still ended up paying more than the original quoted amount. I'm sharing this mainly so future customers can be prepared to ask questions about timing, billing policies, and additional fees before flying. The actual flight was scenic and memorable, but the end result left us disappointed.

We chose Atlanta. Booking was easy and went smoothly. The staff was very friendly over the phone and in person. Blue Ridge Helicopter is located at Gwinnett Airport in Lawrenceville. The first date we chose unfortunately didn't work out. Heavy rain was expected that afternoon. Our pilot Chris did not recommend us flying that afternoon and asked if we were open to rescheduling. We rescheduled for a couple of weeks ahead and the weather was perfect! Chris is experienced and was very knowledgeable of Atlanta history and landmarks. They informed us that if we wanted to book again in the future, we would pay the same Groupon rate. Very competitive to other helicopter tours!

A lady in the back of the bus with me contacted the Gainesville office and asked them to make the driver roll the windows down. She finally asked him 2x and he rolled the windows down which did not help because we were in bumper to bumper traffic on I-85. I along with all other passengers estimated the temperature in the shuttle to be over 100 degrees. Everyone was dripping sweat and per the manager whom I contacted after we arrived back in Gainesville, their policy is to stop the bus at an air conditioned location and have another shuttle come and pick up the passengers. He also lied and said that my phone call was the first he had heard about the issue, yet I heard the lady's conversation with the office, and another employee was waiting in the parking lot asking about the A/C issue when we arrived. The final drive time in this condition was 2 hours and 30 minutes. This was irresponsible, negligent, and extremely dangerous and I will never use this company again.
