My reason for the rating is that their quote was competitive over the phone. Very professional. As in the actual contracted company, they were interested in helping install a pre purchased outdoor security camera when others weren't.

I would have appreciate the option to use CAT-5 to lower the cost but aside from that David was very profession and gave a very accurate estimate of the time and cost. He worked efficiently, cleaned up after the work was done, tested everything, and i've been satisfied with the work done. I will probably use them again in the future when I plan to install a ubiquiti network system.

They turned off the sprinkler, and the security panel also went down. This all occurred in the middle of the night. Koorsen repairman responded within 90 minutes, got the fire alarm panel back up and running, and replaced the sprinkler head. He was so nice, patient, and helpful. Since he was new in his business journey, he agreed to design a elaborate security system for my business. Obviously, the equipment is become better over time and I have worked with him over the years in supporting my system that has 24 cameras. He is always prompt when called, and he is dedicated to his work, as he is an engineer by background. Even designed a small discrete camera at an entrance with the doorbell included so individuals could ring the doorbell if they needed access to the facility. This particular unit has an armored cover and is very discrete, so we can see who wants to come in. He designed and fabricated this camera in his facility, and brought it to us fully built and ready to install. It worked immediately when he wired it in and fit our needs exactly! Only a qualified, experienced technical engineer could see ahead enough to plan a system that is capable of being upgraded without a lot of problems. I guess the thing I like best about Rick at the Big Brother Security is exhibited when you have a vendor that is technical enough, and visionary enough to not rely totally on out-of-the-box solutions, and is able to design a bullet proof camera that reliably works! I would not hesitate to recommend Rick for any security solution, for he is tried and true. I have never seen him in a pickup truck, he always works in vans so he can carry all the equipment and instrumentation he needs for any job. If he has to order parts, he stays on the project and monitors its progress. Best of all, he is not allusive and he stays in touch with his customers until they have a satisfactory solution and are happy. BTW, I know nothing of this guy in the picture with the pickup truck that dumped a mattress on someone's property! Stay away from that dude, and do not worry about working with Rick at Big Brother Security in Indianapolis. He deserves five stars *****!

Avoid Guardian Protection Services - there are many other options that are better, more affordable,…read moreand have better customer service. Their call center customer service line is horrendous - they really do not care about their customers at all.  Like many others, COVID has hit our family and we are barely able to put food on the table and a roof over our heads.  Guardian Protection offered no support or alternative/cheaper plans for the last year of our contract (the first contract I signed with them was 3 years - my fault for not reading the renewal when we moved to a new home that it jumped to 5 years). Today I called to cancel my service at the end of my contract - exactly three months from now. I was told that I could not cancel now - but I had to call back 30 days from the end of the contract.  If I do not, my contract will be renewed on a month-to-month basis.  So, in other words, I call back on exactly  April 20th, or I'm stuck for another month.  I asked that a note be put in my account that I'm canceling now, and giving 90 days notice, but was only told, by Matt, that I needed to call 30 days prior to the end of  the contract. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, Matt took my number (which is already in my account, so....?) and told me a supervisor would call today. Still waiting...

I called the help desk and I was transferred to another number, waited 15 minutes then hung up due to nobody answering. I called back several more times no answer. I decided to see if I can get my device to work, I accidentally set off my alarm. NOBODY FROM GUARDIAN PROTECTION called to check up on me. I called back and managed to get a hold of a lady. Apparently, this company has already been investigated for their unfair sales practices. Please watch the news story below and share with everyone you know. Once you watch this news story you'll see why contacting the BBB is useless and why you should contact your Attorney General instead. I asked the sales rep twice the nature of their inquiries and each time she lied. Defenders said the only way to get a copy of the sales call was to get an attorney, so based on the advice I got from three attorneys (none would take the case because I didn't suffer any financial loss), I contacted the Attorney General's office (AGO) to have Defender's investigated under the Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act. My advocate in the office got a copy of the call, heard how I was misled and recommended mediation to work out getting the hard inquiry removed from my credit report. Defenders, being the unethical company that they are, declined to participate in mediation! I wrote a letter to them threatening to contact the news and turn over the recording, along with the documents I got from the AGO and all of sudden they were going to make this one-time exception to have the inquiry removed from my credit report (while still refusing to admit wrong doing). It's been since October and the inquiry is still on my report. I contacted Equifax to see if a request was sent and according to them Defenders never sent over the request for removal (what a surprise). Contact your AGO, and if they get enough complaints, they can file a class action suit against this company. Also, contact your local news so other customers don't get tricked like we did.

Every time I call, they transfer me to a different person and my account kept depleted with higher amounts. Until one day my daughter was by herself and the alarm went off. Kept calling, but no one responded. I had to cancel my contract with them after I overpaid the previous months. They are scsmmers, they tell you one thing and once they have ahold of your account, they feel free to take whatever they want. I have the real ADT now, very honest and prompt.
