I brought a wath into Gold Fever to get a battery installed. The owner called me a week later and told me that the watch needed a new movement and his cost for the movement was $60.00. A few weeks later we got a call that the watch was fixed and ready for pick up. When my wife picked up the watch the bill was $106.00. I wasn't crazy about that but it is what it is. After getting the watch back I could not pull out the crown of the watch and the watch would just stop at 11:30 everyday. It also smelled like a chemical and had a haze on it. No big deal compaired to the watch stopping at 11:30 everyday and not being able to pull ou t the crown. I brought the watch back within the first week of getting it back from them and explained what was going on. The owner was not there but the lady behind the counter took the watch and wrote some notes on the work ticket. Over the next 3 to 4 weeks I called a few times to check the status of the watch and was told on multiple occasions someone would call me back. This never happened. What did happen was after Gold Fever having my watch for an additional 5 weeks someone called me and told me the watch was ready and the bill would be $60.00. I explained to the owner that I was a little confused as they have not fixed the watch correctly the first time. basically be plamed his watch maker and offered to charge me half price. So no. I will never walk into that store again. Complete theaf and they do not stand by their work. i.e. - I paid $106.00 for Gold Fever to NOT fix the watch the first time and was charged $60.00 but only paid $30.00 the second time for them to actually fix my watch. Completely untrust worthy and they do not stand behind their work at all.

So more stones fell out after doing this. I was then told to pay for reseating all three, even though only one was missing when I dropped it off. Polishing was also started without my consent. When I questioned why an ultrasonic was used on such an old piece, the owner told me I "don't know s**t" and brushed the ring off saying it was probably made in Asia. The whole experience was strange and disappointing with hidden charges, and unprofessional conduct. It is unfortunate since I had very great service with the lady previously who always helped me with my watches, but after this unpleasant experience, I will not be returning.

I stopped there today (Sunday) at 3:30 to look for a Xmas gift for my wife. As I approached the entrance I noticed the front window displays were empty. There were customers and employees inside. I tried to open the door but it was already locked. They opened the door for me but as I approached the interior displays the employees began to empty those as well, I continued to try to look at what was left but the employees just kept removing everything from the cases. I couldn't believe it! It was like I wasn't even there. Xmas season they're removing everything a 1/2 hour before the advertised closing time! I found it rude and also unproductive from a business viewpoint. They should decide what the actual closing time is and not waste peoples time.
