They shaved gold from my setting and made it thinner, and also gave me less sturdy prongs for my diamond. They tried to deny what they did, but I had the shank replaced elsewhere not long before , because another jeweler thinned it out. I also made the jeweler bring out the old prongs to compare. They did make the corrections after I fought with them, but it never should have had to fight to have my ring fixed in the first place. Please remember to: Have your jewelry formally appraised. Buy diamonds that are certified by GIA with a serial number engraved on your diamond, so it can't be switched . Bring your paperwork with you and review your diamond through the microscope yourself to confirm your laser etched serial number.

Our first experience with Corinne involved my engagement ring, which was purchased from another jeweler. The ring on the bottom continued to break and the other store continued to try and repair the broken platinum ring with no luck. We finally brought it to Corinne for repair and from that point on (many years ago) I have never had any issues with the band breaking again. Which gives you peace of mind, in regards to a cherished and valuable piece. We have had other items repaired over the years and most recently my engagement ring soldered together with my two wedding bands. Essence was wonderful when handling this repair order, as well as a very small purchase I made the same day for my young daughter. I know the holidays are an exceptionally busy time at your store so I was not in any rush to get my rings within a certain time frame. At week three I did call and there was a tiny issue with the rings and the order. Essence called me back almost immediately and she resolved the small problem quickly and professionally. I would trust Corinne to purchase jewelry, repair and anything in between. There is a reason they have been in business for so many years. Corinne will always have our business. Trust, is the biggest reason why. A+ experience every time. Thank you Essence.

I thought I had left a review previously, but I guess I didn't…read more I had been going to Q's Loan for over a year now, as my move back to NYC ended up astronomically more expensive than planned. I pawned multiple instruments over the course of the time, and rotated the ones in pawn with ones I was using at the time, so I had experience with pawning multiple items, redeeming multiple items, and repawning some when I had to. I have now gotten all of the instruments out of pawn. First thing - if you have ever pawned something, especially if it had monetary and/or personal significance to you, it is an emotional thing. Chris and the entire staff are *absolutely amazing!* I have dealt with sociopaths (not at Q's Loan) behind the counters of multiple pawn shops in other states, who always have the attitude of "are you still here?" as long as they weren't making extra money off of you. Q's Loan always treated me with respect and the fees for the pawns are frankly about 1/5 the interest I paid in other states. The entire staff at Q's Loan were always helpful and never let me lose an item pawned as has happened in other states where I pawned one thing or another. They knew I wanted my things back and made sure I was always aware of my due dates and what the costs were for redemption of items on a particular day. Secondly, the amounts and rates I got for the pawn loans were very fair and manageable. Everyone was always professional but personable. I can't recommend them enough!

I simply asked at what stage my ring was at- cleaning or tightening, and was kicked out of the store for "accusing them" of tampering with my ring. I left, called to speak to the owner to explain my experience, and was gaslit- was told that didn't happen and for me to not question their work. Awful experience. Very unprofessional, the owner is very disrespectful and cocky. There are plenty of other jewelers, getting respect is the bare minimum.

Located in Lakewood, I was initially skeptical because of the traffic situation. When I dropped off my watch I was met by a very professional young man (yes, I am old enough to actually say that) who took down my information, took a picture of the watch and gave me a slip with the picture attached. It turns out that my watch needed some parts, that added to my servicing time. I was able to find out the status of my repairs easily and Twin Cities notified me when the watch was ready for pickup. My estimate was accurate and I highly recommend Twin Cities. Time your visit and do not try to go there on a weekday after 3pm as traffic can be daunting. Better yet, go in on a Saturday!
