Salmon basil rice bowl with kale and sweet potato. Chefs kiss. And a Pellegrino soda alongside
    Joe G.

Food was unexpected and delicious. I went with the salmon basil rice bowl with kale and sweet potatoes. Top to bottom delicious. Wanna try the dumplings or noodles next time I get food from here. Beautiful small mostly takeout place under the El, friendly service, can't recommend for a large group to dine in because there's just a few seats. Hidden gem.

OMGosh where have you been hiding? I got the cheese steak dumplings and shiitake udone with beef and all I can say is SUPERLATIVE! The dumplings are so meaty and seasoned so well it didn't even need the sauce, but when I didn't think it could get better, the sauce took it to another level . Okay, so I pulled myself away from the dumplings to try my udon and maaaaaan the beef melted in my mouth, the broth was a tad sweet and so savory! This place is now on my big back list! Thank you Lee's, Kensington should be proud to have you!

Food was phenomenal! Everything we had was delicious, very tasty. The general tso's soup dumplings were delicious. The pork bao buns were an explosion of flavor! We also shared a Kim Chee fried rice and Korean bbq beef satay. The rice texture was perfect and so flavorful with plenty of shrimp as well. For dessert we had the mini ice cream cones chocolate pecan and vanilla guava!!! I could have eaten 10! Definitely going back, excited to try other dishes!!!

We ordered the crispy chicken bao buns, crispy shrimp, general tso soup dumplings, wagyu beef, Korean bbq beef, and hamachi ceviche. We were a group of 3 so one thing that was nice was that our waiter added 1 additional skewer/bao bun for the meals instead of ordering 2 plates of them. Out of all the food we ordered the most delicious were the meats; the wagyu and Korean bbq beef. They were so tender and lightly seasoned because the beef quality itself was good. The Wagyu beef was paired with an apricot dip that was really good. The chilli crisp chicken bao was also good but didn't have much sauce, so it was on the dry side. It was supposed to have chilli so we expected it to be spicy but it was not. We all really liked the crispy shrimp--it was truly crispy. The sauce and the radish paired really nicely with the shrimp as well. The one meal we did not enjoy were the soup dumplings. When we got them they were dripping of raw dough and had no soup in them. The waiter was kind enough to replace them but we still didn't really enjoy them. I did not try the hamachi ceviche because I'm pregnant but it was also a favorite from the group. For dessert we had the mini ice cream cones. The waiter again added an extra one for us. The flavors were chocolate banana and mango. They were good, small bites. One of them melted so quickly and fell on the table and the waiter was really kind and got us a replacement. I did use the bathroom and absolutely hated it. It was unbelievably dark in there and there were weird sounds playing in there. I went in there to make sure I didn't have food in my teeth but couldn't even see. Super inaccessible, hopefully that's something that can be changed. The service overall was clearly excellent! I would recommend this place, especially if you come for the meats. It was surprisingly filling too.

We had dinner reservations for 7:45 but got there two hours early because we really wanted to try out their happy hour. Huge selection of food for happy hour and delicious drinks. We waited an hour but were sat and immediately cancelled our dinner reservations because we knew it was about to go down. Fair warning - if you're approaching 40 like us, it's dark, it's loud, and you're sitting on top of people. It will be worth it. We had the double knot roll, spicy tuna roll, BAO, and some drinks. All 10/10. But the real star is the grilled meats. Specifically the scallion ribeye. We tried to take pictures of all of it but it was literally too dark in the restaurant. I would go back and just order ribeye skewers for the entire happy hour. They don't take happy hour reservations but get there early. It's the best.

It feels like a converted cellar lit with candles, very vibey and romantic. Only thing I would say is it's pretty dark so if you have bad eyes it makes it hard to keep reading the menu to make your selections, so preview it off you know you are doing the tasting menu. The food was really good, and everything was presented well. The service was outstanding, the staff was attentive professional, and very patient. Stand out dish was grilled scallops. This place immediately came to mind after I read the reviews, and I ordered takeout tonight. I am very pleased to say that this was an amazing experience! I opted to do fairly simple dim sum, mainly because a restaurant that has "dim sum" in its name should shine in this category. I was able to place my order online, and had the scallion pancake, the pork, soup, dumplings, the chicken and shiitake dumplings, and the shrimp shu mai. The order was prepared, extremely fast, but very attentively. The packaging was thoughtful and protective, without being wasteful. They included a small container of delicious black vinegar/soy for dipping, and some chopsticks. All of the dishes were fantastic! My favorite was probably the shrimp dumplings, and I was happy that it was two for one night. Everything tasted very fresh and well-made. The seasoning was spot on, without being overly salty. My only regret was that after going to pick these up, I noted that the inside of the establishment appeared to be quite quaint and comfortable, and would definitely recommend that people check this place out for dine in options. The staff were very friendly, and made the pick up experience a positive one. So, if you're in the area and really want to have some dim sum, I would definitely recommend this place. I will most definitely be back in the future!!

My wife and I had a delicious NY Eve Dim Sum dinner last night and as usual they hit on all cylinders...including some nice updated decor since last visit. I was a little concerned pulling into parking lot as there was a brand new Sushi/Japanese storefront right next door, and thought perhaps someone decided to take up the challenge of competition....only to be thrilled to learn that M&M ownership actually expanded next door to add even more amazing dinner options!!!! Can't wait to get back and try that experience. This is by far the best Chinese and now Japanese food I have had in this area in an extremely friendly but relatively low key setting....although the new Sushi setting is definitely a bit more upscale in terms of decor. The Owner is still genuinely one of the nicest and most hospitable restauranteurs I have ever met!!! My friend and her husband clearly are a huge fan of the various dumplings they offer as they ordered three different types! But it was clear that one type was a fan favorite. Drum roll please.....EDAMAME DUMPLINGS! They sure did live up to the hype. The dough was perfectly tender, the edamame puree was the texture you dream of, and the spicy chili dipping sauce is such a nice complement to these tasty pouches of goodness. I couldn't resist trying sushi, though. It's my kryptonite. I went with one one of the Chef Special rolls: Tuna, Salmon & Yellowtail with avocado, asparagus, caviar wrapped in sweet pickled daikon. This combo was superb!!! Not that I didn't think it would be, but I really loved the pickled radish that added a different flare to the fresh wrapped fish. Additionally, I tried the Sofia roll: Shrimp tempura, lobster salad, and mango inside. Wrapped in soy paper and rice. Sliced avocado outside with crabmeat and sweet & spicy jalapeno mayo topping...again very good, but didn't necessarily knock my socks off. All-in-all, I would return! I would love to dine in next time and try the ramen or even the Korean BBQ.
