For food, we got a few orders of the kung pao chicken wings. They were perfectly crispy with a really flavorful glaze. The portion size was also very generous, especially for the happy hour price. These are a great example of Asian-style fried chicken wings done right. I definitely want to come back and try their full dinner menu since I've only been here for happy hour so far. I tried the shrimp tempura roll, which I've never seen shrimp tempura look like a fish stick style, no shrimp tail at all, very odd. The rolls were prepared larger in size, I guess to get you full, or to not get you to follow one of their rules. So you must eat all of the sushi even the rice, you can't eat out the middle, even if you don't like it, before you can be served another option of the all you can eat items. The waitress literally pointed which sushi my guest didn't eat, as they went to order another option. Mind you, both of our rolls came on one plate, as if we were sharing. We did not like the fatty tuna with scallions, it was dry and very fishy. The spicy tuna which most places serve minced was more whole pieces, very different. Different is good, when it's flavorful, but this was missing it's punch. The kami salad was layered which was nice, but too much spicy mayo for the ratio, ask for your sauce on the side so you can mix it, since you mix it yourself anyway. The order was prepared, extremely fast, but very attentively. The packaging was thoughtful and protective, without being wasteful. They included a small container of delicious black vinegar/soy for dipping, and some chopsticks. All of the dishes were fantastic! My favorite was probably the shrimp dumplings, and I was happy that it was two for one night. Everything tasted very fresh and well-made. The seasoning was spot on, without being overly salty. My only regret was that after going to pick these up, I noted that the inside of the establishment appeared to be quite quaint and comfortable, and would definitely recommend that people check this place out for dine in options. Everything tasted like they were just phoning it in. The dude at the front desk didn't even acknowledge us on our way out. $75.00 for a completely regrettable experience. We will take the trip to Hatchi next time. This place is just terrible now.
