    Tea for two!

Came for restaurant week, had lunch. Very good deal! $20, 3 courses! I'm full! This is always a great spot to come for Sushi even though it's only my second time here! Everyone is attentive, the atmosphere is nice. When you have a conversation, you can hear each other! We'll be back again for sure.

First time visiting Koto Sushi and it was amazing! It's a cute vibe and the service was impeccable! The appetizers and sushi were absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be returning!

Tried this place for the first time during restaurant week. The restaurant week menu I found online was actually incorrect, so you have to check the menu from the restaurant's website directly. We got there around 5:30pm on a Tuesday and the place was empty for a while but started filling up around an hour later. Seemed like a pretty good deal for restaurant week, with the set dinner price being $45 for 4 courses plus dessert. I liked that we were able to try so many different items. Dinner was also filling enough that I had a few bites of sushi for leftovers at the end. I chose the following: 1) Seaweed salad: good, standard seaweed salad, good portion size for a first course 2) Shrimp shumai: not super memorable but tasty! 3) Lobster bun: I thought this was really good and would definitely order again 4) Angel roll and Manhattan roll: It was great being able to order two rolls for the main course! The roll choices were fairly limited, as there were only 5 choices and most had shrimp tempora and I believe they all had some fried element. But they were very delicious and filling. 5) Dessert: green tea mochi ice cream: I always love mochi ice cream so this hit the spot! It wasn't super big but already being full, the size worked great.

I don't frequently visit Market East often, but I saw Koto Sushi offered a three-course Restaurant Week lunch and couldn't resist a RSVP! It turned out to be an excellent experience and I definitely think one of the best sushi sites in Philly. I visited on a Monday with two friends, and we split our appetizers which were each flavorful. My calamari was crispy and not oily at all; a sign of great preparation. The shumai and gyoza both also tasted great, particularly with the soy sauce. My Spicy Girl Roll was really filling, and I felt the spicy tuna and spicy salmon were both prepared well. The matcha ice cream dessert I ordered is a small cone, but still made for a refreshing finish to my meal. This lunch was absolutely worth the $20 Restaurant Week cost, but I'd still return for full-price menu items for their rolls. I also want to vouch for their excellent service. We took many photos of our food and our table stayed for a long while, but the staff were super friendly the entire time and frequently checked in to gather feedback on how we felt about our dishes. Safe to say this spot is a definite hit!

Stopped by on a cold evening for a bite and absolutely loved it. Delicious roll and top quality sashimi. The server (John?) was as friendly and attentive and brought out some wasabi (the real kind, that's not served by default). I can't believe I lived within walking distance from Koto Sushi for years and never knew of them. Thanks for the recommendation, Warren :) PS: I wish I'd known the hot tea was not complimentary, a lot of Asian places I visit offer it free of charge.

We wanted a quick bite of sushi in this place is quite lovely. The waiter was very sweet and helpful. We went around the time they just opened so it was quiet. I didn't try any of the drinks but they have a pretty good selection. We both grabbed a couple of spicy rolls, spicy tuna and spicy yellowtail. Both were very good, very fresh. We might not go out of our way for another visit but if we happen to be an area it's easily at the top of the list for a quick bite to eat.

Amazing little spot that we went to on Valentines day for lunch! The Toro was incredible and the sushi boat (the $68 for 10 pieces of sushi and 18 pieces of sushi + 2 rolls) was a great deal. Meal was a little over $100 all in after tax and tip but for a sushi place it is totally to be expected. Great service - water was filled at a good cadence and the chef/server was very well mannered. Restaurant ambiance was quiet and clean. Would come again!

Do they have a hibachi grill and cook in front of you or do they just serve hibachi as an entree?

It's an entree but 100% worth it. We've ordered it 5+ times and it's always delicious and a ton of food. Honestly our first time at Koto, we showed up thinking it would be "typical" hibachi (mistake on our part) and we were happily surprised! It was…

It is nice that you get to choose as there are some premium items that ate included, making the $78 well worth it IMO. Service was quick and we were checked on throughout the meal without feeling overbearing or interrupting. The food was filling and portions werent skimped, we wound up taking the rice and brazino to go before the final dish - desert. After the meal they ask if you'd like anything else, just in case (we did). I highly recommend the wagyu plate, we got it done rare and it was like butter. Absolutely amazing.

Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!

Unlike other places where the fish can sometimes taste frozen, everything here tasted fresh and high-quality. Service: Our server, Jordan, was incredibly attentive and made our lunch even better. Menu: The miso soup was delicious, and the salad portion was generous. The fried calamari was also great, though the pieces were on the smaller side. While the chicken teriyaki was a bit disappointing, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. Value: At approximately $33.85, the AYCE price is a great value for the quality you receive. They also have an extensive ramen menu--while it's not included in the AYCE price, it looked delicious and is something I'm excited to try next time. Overall Thoughts: The restaurant was very quiet during our lunch visit, which made for a relaxing meal, though I imagine it gets lively during happy hour.
