10/10 as far as Bao Buns go. Best I have ever had. Bao Buns were fresh, hot, FLAVORFUL and served in a timely manner. The meat within the Bao Buns was tender and flavorful. Each meat and preparation stood apart from the others. The Bao Buns themselves were hot, soft, pull apart easy however, held up nicely against all the ingredients.

I tried the general tsaos chicken bun from here and it was great! A lot of filling and flavor. The chicken only missed the mark a tiny bit because it was the. Other than that- great bun. Would love to try more!!

I got two pillowy vegetarian bao buns for lunch from here yesterday - curry cauliflower and Kung Pao tofu. For $16, you can get the combo meal which comes with two bao buns of your choice, a side and a beverage. I feel like this is more on the expensive side, but it does fill you up. Out of the two bao buns, the cauliflower was my favorite. The fillings are pretty hefty and messy to eat, so make sure to grab some napkins on your way out. The coleslaw was fine. A little bland for my liking, and it was a big portion so I didn't finish all of it. Service was great and quick. I vote they add dessert options to their menu! It'd be dope to try a bao bun with sweet ingredients in it, like matcha or chocolate.

You might think $6 for a bao bun is ridiculous. Then you take a bite in your $6 bao and realize the amount of flavors, and food that comes in one bao. The flavors are wild. It was wild that I even found this place to begin with. I already hit my normal spots in Reading Terminal, I literally passed this placed 8 times before I saw someone eating a bao. So of course I had to try it. Tiny little place. But they offer some many good treating choices. The servers make each bao right there in front of you. With baos like these you have to eat them fresh. I was shocked my little bao bun could hold all the protein and condiments in it without breaking. But man, when those flavors hit your tastebuds, you're wondering why you didn't get every single bun on their menu. I'm looking forward to visiting them again.

I loved the food here! I ordered the Pork Belly Bao Bun and it had a super soft bun. It was really saucy and the meat was tender. I also liked how it had a lot of pickled veggies in it. The only complaint I had was it could've used more meat. I tried some of the meat from the pulled pork bao bun and it was very soft and flavorful. The service was quick. I thought the price was maybe a little high. I would come back again if I am ever at the Reading Terminal Market again!

I loved the food here. I eat Bao in california and this place was very experimental and I loved every flavor i tried. Ladies were very nice, and made them quickly.

I was so disappointed with my recent visit here. I looked at the reviews and the pictures of the menu options, but this was the worst bao bun I've ever had. The bun itself was unable to hold up to the toppings and it was hard and cracked when I tried to take a bite. The chicken also did not seem marinated in the sauce and it was just not an appeasing bite. It was really pretty, but just didn't taste good.

Busy little place but they got through the orders quickly. I had the Mongolian Beef and the Pork Belly. Both were very good. A little saucy for my liking. If I were to go back I'd order light on the sauce to allow the meat and pickled veggies to hold their own as they were generous with the meat and the toppings were tasty, not just an afterthought. Overall, I enjoyed trying something new!

Tried this for the first time today when from a pop up at Herman's and it was delicious. I tried all the bao they offered for the pop up which was the pork belly, chicken satay, chicken Mongolian and the chrysanthemum bun. Everything was delicious; pork belly was thick and juicy, chicken as well. My favorite was the Mongolian chicken, I really liked the tang and the kick of spice. It was delicious. The chrysanthemum it's probably something I could have skipped. It is not bad by any means but probably just not necessary. The bao itself was really good - crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the best part was sesame icing but the chrysanthemum taste itself, I personally could not taste it. It's a good ending but if you were to skip it, it's not the end of the world. Unfortunately, their home location is a bit out of the way for me. But if they do another pop up at herman's or somewhere close to it - I would definitely go again for the baos. Yum!

Bao for lunch today. Keep in mind this is not a sit-in location so prepare for food on the go! The studio can be easily missed if you're not familiar with area, but when GPS tells you to turn, just turn hahaha. I love the easy contactless pickup, similar to a drive thru accept the food is brought out to your car. Decent customer and great bunz!

Amazing food! Super super good food, the shrimp bao bun was great and so was the veggie combo meal. Only downside was the location! We were convinced the place didn't exist and ended up in a Heinz Watson factory parking lot. Eventually contacted owners and they sent us a photo. Love the concept, hated the vibe But the food was great, so order for pickup

These were terrible. Too salty. Too many fillings. Flavors did not go together. I actually threw my food away - it was really really bad.

The homemade DanDan noodles were our favorite, which are served with ground pork in a spicy peanut sauce. We also got the three cup chicken which was so good, with a sweet, licorice-like glaze. Some other favorites were the black pepper chicken and the long hot chicken, if you enjoy spice. We had the ginger and scallion dish and was not our favorite, as the chicken had a unique consistency and was quite limp. Overall, good service and a relaxing ambiance in a bustling city.

Unfortunately the experience at pickup wasn't the best. I asked if they had included utensils and the gentleman at the counter said no. I asked for some since I was bringing the food back to my hotel and wouldn't have anything to eat with. He was pretty dismissive and didn't seem to want to give me anything. (I also didn't get any napkins.) Just a little strange when ordering takeout, utensils should be included right? Or at the very least be readily given out when requested? He begrudgingly gave me 2 pairs of chopsticks and a fork, said he ran out of spoons. I didn't notice the lack of napkins until I got back. Now for the food. We ordered dan dan noodles, a chicken lo mein, and Taiwanese minced pork rice. The noodle dishes were decent but the lo mein was a bit too al dente for our liking...especially for our young son. Didn't get a chance to eat the rice because we were all too full from the noodles. Appreciate the generous portions at least. Will see if the rice will make it home safely with us and reheats well. Can't speak on the ambience. Wasn't in there long enough to really look around. Will I order from them again or try in person in the future? I'm not sure. I wasn't blown away by the food or service so...

I personally think Molly Tea on 36th is much better and worth the short walk, but I like strong, floral teas. My problem with Lulu cafe, though, is with the cafe and seating area. Lulu Cafe seems to be set up like a spot to sit and work, since they have a lot of tables with one or two seats (i.e. not really a space to sit with a group of friends and talk). Because of this, you would think that they'd have a space that makes working easy, or at least doesn't hinder it, but no. First off, the regular height tables (not high tops) are ALL wobbly. Not even just a little bit, but like as you type lightly the entire table feels like it's on a boat during a storm. Annoying, but whatever, maybe you can move to one of the high top tables. But then, they have wifi, except that it doesn't work!!! Both the cafe wifi and the guest wifi have unknown errors (not password related) that prevent you from connecting. Between the table shaking and having to drain my hotspot, I got frustrated in under 10 minutes and left. I don't think every cafe, especially boba cafes, needs to cater towards workers & studying students. If Lulu cafe put in 2 big tables instead pod all the small ones and didn't offer wifi in the first place I wouldn't have been bothered. However, if they want to be a work space, they need to make some serious improvements before I'll return...
