I called out of work so they could come service my house and at 8am they send me a message saying they rescheduled me for Thursday November 10th. No phone call was made to me to apologize or make me aware of this change. Now I have missed a days worth of work and my house was not serviced. I have been trying to get in touch with them for the past hour and no one is picking up the phone. I have left a message and I have yet to receive a call back.

We apparently tracked in fleas from outside where many dogs are walked close to our door, because our inside cat of several years suddenly had fleas, never seen before. Despite treating the cat directly with topical and oral meds, we kept finding them, along with what looked like eggs, when using a flea comb. I was horrified and after researching learned we needed to treat the environment. Matt explained the type of products they would use and what to expect, and the tech was great about communicating when on the way about his arrival time . We were still seeing a couple fleas and eggs a few days later and although I know the cycle can take a few weeks to break I was concerned, as some areas had not been treated. I contacted the office and they were responsive and courteous. Matt reached out with some info and they had the tech return to both retreat with another product and treat some new areas. I know that my stress was showing (having to wash every area rug, blanket, throw, pillow, sheet, anything fabric in hot water and dry it on high to kill the eggs and I was doing laundry round the clock) but the office, Matt and the tech remained patient and empathetic and never made me feel like I was a bother. After the second treatment we haven't seen any further evidence of fleas - but if we did, I know the service is guaranteed. Matt's Pest provided prompt, courteous, professional and effective service. However, I feel it necessary because the…read moremajority of the reviews for Select are 4 and 5's which in my case were misleading and could be misleading to others. I have purchased supplies from Select in the past and they (the supplies) are better and more effective than what you would buy from the large box companies. So, as long as you are doing the job yourself, this is a place to go for supplies. This is why I went there again. The mistake I made was buying their service. I was told they could treat carpenter bees with the same material that I could buy from them. Since I cannot get on a ladder to reach where the bees were, Caleb said their equipment could reach the area easily. So, I said yes let's do it. The technician arrived as expected and I showed him the area that needed treatment. I was quoted $150 and he said he would do the whole house to stop any migration from one area to another. That sounded like a fair proposition. I was able to notice the technician as he was finishing up and his sprayer was not reaching more than 7-8 feet up the side of the house, not the roof line as I pointed out to him earlier. When I questioned about the higher area that I had pointed out to him, he said his sprayer could not reach it and since they are not furnished ladders, this was the best he could do. Amazing!! He should have told me that before he started instead of misleading me. Since this was on a Saturday, I went to see Caleb the following week. He said the tech was still new and probably did not know how to adjust the sprayer because being a gas powered sprayer it should easily have reached the roof area of a two story house, which would be mine. Caleb showed concern and said they would "make it right" but first he wanted the technician to come back and redo the job correctly. This time he would make sure the technician knew what to do and how to do it and might even come with him. 15 days passed and the technician never came back. So, I went back to see Caleb again and told him at this point since I have already had another reputable exterminating company come to the house, and his technician never came back, I think that if he's going to "make it right" then a refund is in order. The owner, Mark, was there and when Caleb explained that the technician never came back, Mark responded NO REFUND! He told me he would send the technician back but my response was what's the use? He didn't come back the first time I was told he was coming and besides, why come back and waste more material when I have already taken care of the bees by another exterminator. This is a good DIY place to go but there are many better experienced pest control companies with the required equipment to do an exceptional job and with genuine customer satisfaction. Everyone I spoke with, from the first phone call to David who came out, was incredible. They didn't just remove the nest, they educated me. I learned more about hornets and mosquito season in 10 minutes than I've learned from Google in 10 years.
