What was really nice was they quoted me a great price, offered me a reoccurring special, and had times slots available that same week. We used Mayday pest for a wildlife exclusion service (squirrels in attic). A couple months later, we heard squirrels again. We called and another service agent came to check. After a very short inspection, he said there's nothing there. I asked to send another tech. This is where it gets great. Tim Vaughn, their best technician came out, throughly walked and checked the attic, found squirrel feces and 2 open holes, he showed us everything and patched up the wholes, but here is where it took a turn for AMAZING! He took the time to completely check the whole Perimeter and realized they didn't seal off the tall side of the house. He was honest and came back the next day to seal the whole Perimeter... If it wasn't for his attention to detail and real care and love of his profession, I would have never known and he fixed everything. Tim Vaughn is the best employee I have ever seen. We've used Mayday for years now and have always received top-notch service from them. Our house is surrounded by mature trees some of which have branches that hang over the roof so they did an exclusion a few years ago and we've never had any issues with wildlife in our attic. They also do quarterly pest control and annual termite inspections for us. The pest control techs we've had (Justin and Nick) are very helpful about teaching us simple things to do to keep bugs out and are always considerate of our time, they always either text or call when they are about 15-20 minutes away. Most companies say they care about their customers, but for too many it's just a slogan. I really believe Mayday does care and they'll take the time to explain and teach me things I can do to help, which I really do appreciate. They were the only company willing to come on Saturday of a holiday weekend. When you have wildlife in your chimney/fireplace you really don't want to wait 4 or 5 days for help so they were extremely appreciated. Angel and Caesar are brothers and they are the owners and have been in business for 26 years together. That says a lot already. It's great to work with a family owned business. I interacted with Angel on Yelp for the quote and Caesar came out to remove 3 wasp nests that were very high up. He also removed 2 very high spider webs. They were both very professional and communication was excellent. They were the first to reply on Yelp and they offered the best deal. I requested the quote on one day and Caesar came out the next day. Life is very busy for me so I don't often take the time to write reviews unless the experience was exceptional. Indeed it was. So far I've had a great experience with Mayday! I'm a new client, but Travis was very kind and I felt heard when I told him some of the pest issues we were having - he made sure in our initial quote to address our carpenter bee issue (which was really stressing me out!). Then we had Justin come over to do the initial general pest control and termite control - Justin was so knowledgable and professional. He too addressed all my concerns with our newly purchased home and provided a great education on some need-to-know things! I just had my first service visit from Mayday and I am VERY pleased! I had a list of 5 companies to get quotes from but after speaking with CAESAR (one of the owners), I was sold. He was patient as he answered ALL of my questions and gave me what I felt was a good deal for all that was needed for my home. He was able to get a technician out the NEXT DAY! My technician ADDISON was equally friendly, thorough and patient as he walked me through the process. He took time to go above and beyond what would have normally come with my package and for that I am grateful. I had a ton of spider webs, had never had the house treated for termites since my purchase in 2022, and some other creepy crawlers. I had a very annoying issue with squirrels in my attic. I could hear them in my walls scratching and chewing at my wires. I tried setting multiple traps myself but nothing worked. I called multiple companies for quotes and decided to go with Mayday after comparing them to the other companies. They gave me a very reasonable quote with a very solid warranty which made my decision very easy. After going with Mayday they came out and sealed my house off and set traps. Its been over 6 months and I haven't had an issue since. We just used May Day for the 2nd time The first time we realized we had squirrels taking over our attic. They took care of the problem quickly, efficiently and humanely. Unfortunately we had a tree fall on the front of our house in March, 2023. Through our homeowners insurance, we had a roofing company do the repairs to our gutters and roof. I asked the roofers if the exclusions were still in place to keep the squirrels out & was told yes. Last week my husband went into the attic & saw 2 squirrels running around. We called May Day. Our contract had expired The end of December. We had received an email from May Day advising us it was time to renew but with the busy holidays we forgot. I spoke with the young lady in the office ( unfortunately, I have forgotten her name) She is the sweetest and very helpful. She immediately pulled up our account, took the info about our problem, renewed our contract and scheduled someone to come out the next day. They gave me 2 hour window and texted me when they were on the way. Tim Vaughan was the technician that came out to evaluate our situation. He was so nice & polite! He listened patiently as I e planed our problem to him. He then went into our attic. Then went outside & went around our roof, found a big gaping hole the squirrels had chewed for entry. He took many pictures and showed where the roofers that did repairs on our house had removed the metal extractions May Day had put up previously.in some places they used small nails to try & put extractions back but the small nails did not hold. In other places they didn't replace it at all. Tim determined that we would have to have the work redone to ensure no recently by squirrels. The very next day they had a worker come out to get it all taken care of. Stephen Sawyer was also so nice & polite! He began work immediately. It was very cold that day- in the 30's. He worked most of the day in the cold & completed it. It is very obvious these workers have been well trained & know the business. However, besides their knowledgeable work, they have great communication skills & immediately made me feel relaxed & reassured. The price was good but they did not do what they said they would do. I had a bat problem in my attic, actually bats hanging on the screen behind the vent louvers for the attic. Mayday told me they would "install a device that let the bats out but not back in". Instead, the guy that arrived to do the work banged on the side of the house and he louvers to drive them away in the middle of the day. They also told me their guys would be wearing protective gear because inhaling bat poop can be deadly. I feel like didn't get what I paid for. They did a good job of screening the vents from the outside to keep them from getting back in a suppose. read more

I hired MayDay to do an exclusion on a new home I purchased that had a rat problem. Angel came out, gave a quote, and his team came out and set 6 traps in a 2,000 square foot home and then sealed the home at the same time. Less than a week after I was told the house was rat free I found new rat activity in the house. I called on Friday at 3pm and learned that the office was closed until Tuesday (it was Memorial Day weekend, but the other companies I called responded immediately). When I received a call back 4 days later I was told that a tech wouldn't be able to come out until Friday, a week later. After speaking with Angel about the lack of service and responsiveness he told me that I was likely making up the new rodent activity. My continued conversations with Angel consisted of insults and a genuine lack of care to get the job done. I originally chose MayDay because they offered a 5 year guarantee and were the lowest price. My advice to prospective customers is to (1) do thorough research on the company. You should trap first and then do the exclusion, not both at the same time. (2) Know that the service ends once payment is received. (3) You get what you pay for. There's a reason why their contract includes an arbitration clause and others do not. I'm prepared for the irreverent response from the company to this review and would consider it par for my experience. read more

I purchased a lifetime total exclusion for my rental property and was helped by angel about 7-8 years ago...He was very helpful and did a wonderful job. I have had no issues until August of this year, when my tenants told me they caught 5 rats in the house and wondered if they had a nest in the crawl space below the house. I was out of the country so I emailed Mayday and they quickly got hold of my tenants and were very responsive taking care of the problem--I didn't even need to be involved. Had them for pest exclusion for years, plus termite control and regular pest control. I had my gutters replaced. Mayday says ALL the pest exclusion (flashing) around roof line was removed. This is NOT true. Four feet are missing, which means 246 feet are still in place. They wanted me to pay $1000 to reinstate my pest exclusion warranty, stating that they had to install 250 feet. But they only would have to install 4 feet since 246 feet are still in place. They would not work with me at all unless I paid $1000. This is a SCAM!!! read more

Bought a groupon to catch some critters in my attic/walls. First, the guy comes out and diagnoses the wrong kind of pest (he said it was flying squirrels, when it was actually mice). This lead to him setting the wrong kind of trap. It was way to heavy for mice, allowing them to just get the bait without setting off the trap. Another pest control place told me it was actually mice, and then was confirmed a week later when one actually showed up in my house (they were in the attic/walls until that point). The fact that the traps had no bait when the guy came out to check them the first time should have been a give away - but it wasn't. (When another company came to give me a quote the next day, they pointed out there was no bait on the traps). When I asked them to give me a break on the price for their exclusion service, given the fact they made a mistake, they told me no. They never even apologized for making the mistake to begin with. I told them I was still willing to work with them, but if they didn't respond I would be leaving negative reviews. It's been a week now, and I haven't heard anything, so I'm following through on my promise. I'm not leaving this review because they made a mistake... I'm leaving it because they failed to own up to their mistake or attempt to do anything to make up for it. Mayday will give you a price that is MUCH lower than the competition, but, they also don't appear to be very competent when it comes to wildlife issues. One day at dusk, I came home from walking my dog and saw a rat sitting by the fireplace, fat and happy. I called my regular pest control place and left a message--but after a few days of no call-back, I called MayDay on the recommendation of a friend who had the worst rat problem I ever heard of. I was impressed with the extended warranty for both my unit and the rental unit I own in my duplex, and they discounted the 2nd unit. They installed the traps and exclusion barriers. Although we caught nothing in the traps, the exclusion (they found a sole entry point) seems to have worked because no unwanted visitors have returned.Additionally, the techs were polite, knowledgeable and on time--coming back as promised to recheck the traps (twice.) This service is not cheap....but the peace of mind is worth it. I could hardly sleep worried about rats in my bedroom. read more
