Had an appointment at 2pm today. Came in a little early to talk to the stylist. She told me she was running behind. Also although I called previously she didn't have the colors my daughter wanted in her hair when I booked the appointment they said they did... We decided to be flexible on the colors. Waited about 40 min and she was still not ready. The salon closes at 4pm so we left. Incredibly unprofessional. Will not be returning. Would not recommend. A complete waste of time. read more

The lady that did my hair, who's name i am unsure of, was very sweet and we had some good conversation, however, this cut is unacceptable. the first pic is what i asked for; second is what i got (with the rest of it put up to show how insanely bad my curtain bangs turned out, believe me the rest was not very good either before i fixed it myself). i hesitated to post this review because i did not want to hurt anyone's feelings, but i spent over $60 on this haircut and i just don't want anyone else to waste their money going into this salon. i will not be going back and will finish fixing it myself. read more

Oh I can not say enough McKenzie, sorry I probably spelled her name wrong, if you want a perfectionist, artist who you would find at a high scale salon, this girl is the to go girl. I have had fun with colors, going to grow out my hair to have her put extensions in. I hope she never leaves, I'd be lost to find a great hairstylist in Clarksville TN. Until about 4/5 years ago this was the only place i would take my kids for haircuts, updos, hair coloring, eyebrows and more. Then there was a terrible hair dye issue with one daughter and then a new lady destroying another daughters beautiful curls with a buzz cut and we went elsewhere. Today I wanted to treat one of my kiddos to a new hairstyle and thought maybe it's gone back to how great it used to be. No. It absolutely did not. Pictures were shown before and the lady appeared to understand the whole "long layers" concept. As you can tell from the final picture she has no clue. Fortunately for the so-called stylist who cut my daughter's hair, I was sick and her older sister offered to go in my place. Because I would have pitched a fit. My daughter said she had to physically show the "stylist" how messed up the front was and watched carefully while the lady at least blended in the very blunt bang cut she gave her and made a half hearted attempt to frame her face as was directed. When my daughter kept telling me how the lady would keep cutting the bottom shorter versus putting in long layers I know it was time to go. I told my daughters to get out of there while she had hair left and we would get it fixed elsewhere. My daughter was so frustrated but was brought up to be polite so not only did she pay the 25 for the crap cut she also tipped her 7.00 - To which I let my oldest know a very important life lesson. While i understood her frustration and why she paid for a cut that was nothing close to what we asked for as the quickest means to leave an unpleasant experience, that no matter how well she was raised she should never reward someone who doesn't do/provide at least satisfactory work. Rarely do I ever give a single star but I cannot fathom how this person works here and how a salon that once was THE place to go for the new styles and great cuts and colors would hire inept people such as her. Seeing the cut in person is even worse. Nothing at all is even and I am disgusted. Never again read more

She was more than helpful in finding me an appointment. (Lady with short pink/brownish hair). Nevertheless, I came in for my appointment on Monday and I'm pleased with the results. McKenzie did my hair and she knew exactly what she was doing. She noticed that my hair wasn't lifting the color she thought, so she went back in and lighted it to a caramel color. Youngest daughter got purple, deep dark purple. 2 days later it was periwinkle. Came back to salon day 3 they suggested red "it'll stay longer" we'll see. $10 for a redo. Hmmmmm Well my daughter loves it. My recommendation would be to tell people who come in for color what care instructions are needed to keep it as long as possible. A heads up that the dark purple would fade the quickest could have saved me from choosing that color from the beginning. Regardless, my daughter loves her new red. read more

I won't be returning. I came in wanting a cut and color. I saw one of the stylist with what I wanted. I pointed and said I want that exact look. Dark brown hair with dark low lights without at shoulder length. The stylist who did her hair said I'm free I can do it. We got down to it. She said low lights on top and lighten the bottom a little to match. I said ok. Only thing I want different from her hair is I want it one length. 4+ hours later I walked out crying. I had a bob with streaky highlights on top of my head. Nothing like the look I wanted. She told me I won't charge you for the highlights. Really you won't charge me for something I never asked for. How kind of you. I called and asked for April the owner sobbing from disgust. It's a big deal because it's my birthday weekend. She said come back and I'll fix it. I've spent $130 and 4+ hours there. I'm never going back. She said I'll call back. And it's been 2 months and not a call. read more

I LOVED the people working there. It was a super friendly atmosphere and everyone was joking around with each other and sending good vibes. I had a picture of the haircut I wanted (I was chopping off quite a lot compared to how long my hair used to be) and the lady who cut it not only did it perfectly, but she kept asking for my feedback to make sure that she was doing it the way I wanted. Also, if you're looking to have your hair colored, I would highly recommend coming here. You can tell these ladies are very skilled just by looking at the hair colors and styles that they had. There were women with all sorts of different hair colors that successfully and elegantly died their hair to pastel, neon, and any other color you can think of. It's not very cheap, but it's standard price for a professional haircut at a salon. If anyone is hesitant to give them your service, I would recommend it! read more

I'm new to the area and was needing a hair cut. I found this salon and based on the good reviews, I called for an appointment and was given one the same day. Upon arrival, I was asked if I wanted my hair to be washed but I declined due to limited time. I immediately regretted not getting it washed because my hair was not prepped for the cut. It wasn't sprayed on with water or combed through, so my hair kept getting caught on the comb and yanked on the entire time. I asked for long layers with curtain bangs and face frame. But was basically given a trim, bangs and it was thinned out so much. While my hair was getting cut, I kept being told that my hair was too dried and the hair dresser attempted to up sale me on hair products. When I called to book the appointment, I was told it would be between $40-$45 because of my long hair and the hair technique I was requesting. But I was charged $65. Ultimately, although I didn't get the hair cut I requested and my hair was thinned out, it's still an ok cut. Yet, I feel defeated and very disappointed about my experience in this salon. read more

I visited Lee's on 7/18/15. The receptionist is a sweet gal- I spoke to her on the phone when I made my appointment and she was as friendly in person. I liked the stylist, personality wise, and the fact that he took me early. He asked me what I was looking for and cut my hair so I could rock curls instead of fighting the humidity to try to get/keep my curly hair straight. I wish I would have had him style it straight as one side was thicker and longer than the other and hopefully this would have been caught/corrected. I wore it curly most of the time so it wasn't as noticeable. It looked noticeably 'off' if I tried to style it straight. I was also bummed that he didn't wash my hair yet charged $35 for a cut and style- I would have understood if I had had it washed but they should adjust the price if they aren't going to wash your hair. It must be a TN thing to not include washing the hair as part of the cut/style process b/c I never encountered such a thing in MI, NH/MA, or CA. read more

Had to edit: the next day I noticed that my bangs on the right side were cut SO short that they stuck up. They weren't even a whole inch long! Decided that I WILL NOT be going back to Lee's Salon. Also, found out from some friends that they had almost the same thing happen to them....by other stylists. No quero Lee's I had Kylie do my hair. Complete re-do. I'm new to the area and didn't realize that this salon was so highly rated. It seems like a basic hair salon. The people seem nice and Kylie really listened to me about what I wanted. My hair turned out perfectly and she was SO friendly. It's a LITTLE pricey for shampoo, cut, and style but nothing outrageous. The only pet peeve I have is that some of the stylists didn't clean up their station between customers and like I said, that's a pet peeve of mine. Overall, I'll go back as long as they stay friendly and professional. read more

This newly remodeled location is very nice. However, my hair is CHOPPED! I always thought you couldn't mess up layers, but let me tell you, you can!. I guess Hair Dressers here dont watch Tabitha! First you should Cross Check your cut. My hair was very choppy, i had to come home and recut it because my layers weren't right. Second, the owner was making this lady hold her foils for highlights! We dont go to the salon to work or do your job for you, we go to relax. Also, You pay the same price regardless if your hair dresser has 1 year experience or 20 years... First experience at this salon was phenomenal! Say was my stylist/color guru and she took my original idea and made it a million times better. She really took her time with me and you could tell she wanted to make sure my hair came out perfect. She took my hair from a darker blonde to silver and purple, and it still feels so healthy and strong after the entire process. Allie was also super sweet and always checked in to make sure I was okay and asked if I needed anything, and you can tell she wanted to make sure all the customers were well taken care of. The other employees and stylists were so upbeat and nice, which made the whole salon vibe positive and friendly. Lee's owner even checked in to check out Say's awesome work, and she was great as well! Definitely coming back when it's time for a touch up. :) read more

Let me just say that I was lucky in more ways than one when I managed to get a LAST minute appt today (a very busy Saturday) being a brand new client and requesting a double process and a cut. And I am so grateful that I got in because I have found my new stylist. Prada was adorable and took extra care to get it right. I ended up with an amazing color and cut. She was even able to work in a brow wax! The energy of the salon was amazing and everyone was very funny and engaging. I even got to meet the owner, April, who is beautiful and hilarious. I previously would not have thought to head down Ft. Campbell to find a salon but I'm so glad that I did. They do a great job on hair, usually. That's the reason why I came back for a third time. My last haircut wasn't the best and seemed a little rushed. Even with an appointment be prepared to wait. Also, they need to do a better job greeting customers. I usually end up standing at the front counter until someone comes and this last time, no one came around and I just sat and waited. I'm glad I finally got someone attention since it appeared that my stylist didn't know she had another appointment coming up. Overall, if you are not in a rush then this place may be for you. Okaaay!! I have been going to Lee's for over 10 years now when I can. However I decidedly made an error attempting to do my hair at home as of late to save a buck. I went in today to have a horrible red color fixed. The young lady who did it had awesome Kylie Jenner colored green hair and she rocked that look! She was pleasant and patient. Due to the red in my hair the highlights did not come out as bright as I wanted HOWEVER this salon will make you happy so I am headed back on Monday to brighten it up. I got home and looked at my hair and I actually love it right now. It was terrible when I went in and I do love to sport my baseball cap collection sometimes I gotta let the hair hang! No ball cap this weekend! I will give 5 stars after my touch up and my hair is in amazing condition considering the hours of chemicals on it. I would not trust my hair to any other salon! I had my hair cut by April, the owner of the salon, for the first time. I have short hair that I have been growing out from a pixie cut, which I explained to her. I told her that I like the length that it is now but it was too thick so I wanted my hair thinned out and trimmed a bit. I didn't want the hair at the back of the neck cut too short either. I told her that the lady I usually go to would always cut it all off to almost a pixie length again when I just wanted a trim. I don't think she really understood me because she told me that there was nothing she could do with my hair since it's not long enough and I'm growing it out. I was about to leave after she told me that but then she said she could thin it out and reshape it. I was confused but I said OK. Throughout the haircut, April kept commenting on how thick my hair was and what I put in it. That got annoying after the third time. Yes, I know my hair is really thick and I washed my hair the night before so there was nothing in it but some leave in conditioner. My hair wasn't rock hard with gel or anything greasy. She just made me feel like my hair was too much for her to handle and was really dirty or something. Then, at the end, I told her she didn't have to flat iron my hair BC I usually air dry it to keep the waves that I have in my hair. She explained that I wouldn't see the shape of the cut if she didn't flat iron the front sections. Then she made a comment about leaving my rat tail. I was like wtf. Thanks. I will never get my hair cut by her again. I could have done without the attitude and rude comment. The only good thing out of that experience was that my haircut turned out ok but not worth $20. read more

Finally! After going thru five different hairstylist I found a very talented and experienced artist by the name of Say. I love my new short hair, my husband loves my new look. Say is very meticulous and detailed, getting your hair just right so that you leave the store looking and feeling great. She has that extra something that makes her better then good. I knew it as soon as she started to wash my hair. My hair is very hard to cut because it's sticks out when short but Say used techniques that I've never seen before to make my hair look good. If you are looking for a cool, fun, hip, cute, up to date hairstyle, I would totally recommend her. As a military spouse, I know how hard it is to find a new hairstylist. I decided to write this review to help those who are looking for someone new and wanting to avoid several bad haircuts before finding someone they are happy with. I had gone somewhere else to get my hair done and it was awful. It was supposed to be a dark brown color but she made it purple and pink. NEON pink. Not to mention she cut my hair way too short. I went to lees salon to get it fixed back to brown and Mary is the sweetest lady and she's putting my needs and my hair's needs above anything.
