L'escalade fitness & climbing or LEF Climbing for short is a very nice, well rounded climbing gym! Just visiting from Houston, TX, I was looking for a cool place to boulder in Lexington, KY. It pretty much seems like LEF climbing is the only option to choose from, but luckily LEF climbing was everything I was looking for. I've only been climbing seriously for a little over a year now so I am no expert in the sport, but I'm not a complete newbie either. LEF climbing was nice in that they had a good range of routes from v0 (easy, red holds) to v14 (extremely hard, pink holds), and that the difficulty is based on the color of the holds. As far as pricing goes, they charged the average amount based on the gyms I've been to. First time day passes cost $22, but after your first visit day passes become $15. And renting equipment like shoes or harnesses costs either 1 item for $4 or 2 items for $7. Monthly memberships average in price around $70/month, but price varies depending if you need rental equipment or if you want access to the full facility like the workout gym or just the climbing walls. Overall the place is clean, staff is friendly, and is good for all skill levels. A kids climbing area is available, a couple auto belays, belay classes, tons of top roping, lead climbing, training equipment, workout gym, and several different bouldering walls are all offered. We were a little short on time so we didn't get to utilize or try everything, but the bouldering problems were great. We only climbed up to the black holds that represent up to v6 problems due to our current v5 skill level, but everything ranging up to that point was a lot of fun! The setters at this gym are quite creative, and aren't afraid to set a challenging route. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in Lexington, Kentucky!

Great place and reasonable priced for the amount of walls they participants can climb. Loved the variety and different levels. Nephews loved that it was not a time restraint for fun. You climb until you can't climb no more. Definitely recommend!

All the rock wall climbing your heart desires and many levels. They have an all day ticket for us beginners and then monthly deals for those more avid climbers to hone in on their climbing skills. Great place to let adults and kids alike to blow off some steam, especially during the winter months!!

This place is pretty cool. I took my 13 and 9 year old nephews here while they were in town visiting. Staff was awesome and took care of my nephews with the setup. There are multiple climbing walls with varying degrees of difficulty and climbing styles. The rental equipment looked like it was well maintained and in good shape. My nephews could not get enough of the climbing, until they had muscle fatigue, and want to go back the next time they are in town. It is good for all ages and skill levels. If you want to get a great workout or have your kids burn some energy during the cold winter months I suggest you bring them here. In addition to the daily fee they also have some membership options depending on what you are looking for.

Planned an office team building event here on January 14th. The process for registration and walk-in is done professionally and the instructor was knowledgeable in her position. Our time was limited but to two hours and at first I wAnted to just hit the walls and start climbing instead of listening to the safety and familiarization brief. However, once we were able to start climbing it was evident that those were necessary. There are skill levels for literally everyone. We had a 52 year old female make it half way up the tallest wall. Age wasn't really the factor as much as the athletic level perceived of the individual. It was a great confidence booster for her. Everyone enjoyed it. It was a great workout and be prepared to have a great forearm workout.

Fantastic, large climbing gym with plenty of routes and bouldering problems. Membership fee is reasonable and they are constantly changing routes. Love this place!

They have excellent auto belay options for new climbers and kids, along with bouldering that is entry level.

I have not been able to get up to a pool all summer with how busy it has been, and I was looking forward to this event at the Pool Cabana. The tour of the grounds was very, very nice. We learned so much about the mansion venue, about their golfing bar and golfing venue that you can rent out, and various venues you can rent out for your parties. They are one of the only resorts in Lexington, so that was very interesting. They're definitely prepared for a staycation or a romantic getaway. They have so many amenities like pickleball, indoor pool, outdoor pool, cabanas, bike riding if you want to go take your bike on a stroll on the Legacy Trail. As well as a spa and bourbon dispensers. (Literally) They also have fire pits all over the venue for you to roast some marshmallows, which I definitely took advantage of that because I love a burnt marshmallow. Also, we were able to try some appetizers and the mini hot browns stole the show! Obsessed! I had a great time with everyone and dipping into the pool. It is a very clean venue, very luxurious, and definitely a place to think about for your next vaycay or staycation. It's also very accessible for anyone with a wheel chair!

This isn't the kind of place where they are in your face the whole time. I have been coming here for 5 months as of now and I can tell you I feel a lot stronger and in much better physical condition. They custom tailor the workouts to fit your needs and wants. There are several people here from all different ages and physical conditions. They also help people who are recovering from injuries. They also offer some classes in the evening, though I don't know much about them because I can only work out in the morning. I have never stuck with a personal trainer or even on specific gym for as long as I have here. I like the staff and they make each day different so you don't plateau or get bored. But you know what, for some reason, I return, at least once each week, for more. The staff - fun, knowledgeable, and relaxed. The space - a nicely converted garage, not too big, not too small. The equipment - modern, well maintained, cleaned regularly. The clientele - other than myself, respectable, varied in age, body-type, agility, and athleticism, with a good gender balance. The workout plan - classes (mornings, evenings, and weekends) of 15-20 pain lovers do an hour of circuit training, muscle confusion centered, varied exercises, with little rest, and with lots of music. Pay as you go, buy a 10 pack (my preference) or pay per month for unlimited. Clients also have the option to pay a premium for one on one training per appointment. Regular doses of this stuff help keep a boy/girl sane, and regular doses of this lead to a well earned visit to one our Yelp favorites for food and drink. It's all part of the grand and tasty cycle of life.

This location is the newer PF location in Lexington, off of New Circle Road (across from Woodhill). The warm and caring staff greet you with a smile as soon as you walk in. Depending on the frequency of your visits, they may also greet you with saying your name, which is a personal feel that I appreciate. I have seen the facilities cleaned numerous times while I am there. There is a plethora of weights, cardio machines, tanning beds, OH MY! There is something for everyone, from the diehard gymgoer to the casual gym user. The atmosphere is welcoming, and they do utilize the lunk alarm if someone drops the weights or is grunting very loud. Of course, there are times when it is busier in the mornings before work and in the evenings after people get off work. There are shower facilities available to work off the success of your workout. My only suggestions would be as follows: 1. Have an area for those who want to do their own workout, off the machines but are not stretching. There is a space to stretch but there is more equipment than there is available space for other exercise. 2. Have a hook away from the shower, closer to the shower curtain, so that belongings do not get wet. Overall, I like this location and enjoy seeing the same people daily, as they are my imaginary accountability partners :-).
