I have a city-wide YMCA membership. I used to only visit the Beaumont location to do water aerobics with my friends, but recently I decided to check out the other two YMCA's and have started to come here instead of Beaumont. This is an older location, and a lot less crowded than the Beaumont Y (but not as empty as Northside). I usually run on the track, which is above the gym. You have to climb an old iron spiral staircase to get to the track and it isn't air conditioned, so it is oftentimes empty (which is exactly what I am looking for). The track rattles in some spots, so that may bother some people. Also, if you have a fear of heights, I wouldn't recommend using this track. There are a good number of classes that you can attend at this Y. I have gone to the Zumba class and enjoyed it. One of my friends does pilates here and really likes it. A big plus is that they have towel service at this location and not the others. I also want to note that at this Y people are a lot less shy about walking around without towels on than the other two!

The High Street Y may not be the newest, shiniest gym in Lexington, but it shouldn't be discounted! The staff are helpful and friendly, there are always machines open, and for $30 a month it is definitely budget-friendly. Great pilates and yoga classes for all levels of experience.

The staff at the Y are very nice and helpful. The men's locker room needs to be cleaned a little better.....

The place is grimey, nobody cleans their machines after using them. The lack of safety is insane to me -- multiple people just throwing weights, not in areas that it is meant for. People walking under, through, around your squat rack/machines is so unsafe. There is so much non-working equipment. It is way too expensive to be constantly busy and never have enough room to workout. Icing on the cake is I requested a cancellation due to moving out of state. Emailed, called MULTIPLE times, and consistently got ignored by Jordan, the one person that manages accounts. He requested multiple forms of proof of move, which I happily provided, and again was ignored. My card continues to try to be processed, I have called and emailed yet another person multiple times, and get ignored. Extremely unprofessional and quite possibly the most ridiculous place ever.

There is plenty of parking, the staff are attentive when you need them, and it is not a bad gym at all. The machines are hardly ever out of order, they recently added new equipment, and it's not dirty at all compared to other places I have been to. The price is great, their in-store items are reasonably priced, they're open 24 hrs... just great honestly. It is nice to see all ages and athletic levels coming in to workout; it is also a very diverse spot. Yes, it gets busy, but I never had to wait more than 2 min for a machine. Lastly, you can cancel online if needed now... that alone is a great perk nowadays. Overall, I'd give this PF location a 9/10.

Not sure I even saw everything as it's a 2 story building. All the equipment I used was clean and in good working condition. I only had minor wait times and it was a peak time I went in (5:30 PM). The staff was friendly and helpful as a newcomer I didn't know where things were. I would highly recommend checking it out and I will be going the rest of my week I'm here in Lexington and most likely during my future trips.
