But once you start heading onto the path, you discover that there is more to this place than you see from the parking lot. If you want to get right next to some small waterfalls, like touch them with your fingers, this is the place to visit. The waterfalls are smaller, but I liked that we could get up close to the water and experience it in a tactile way. Being right up in the water's business allowed for some really great photos, too -- the waterfall area is a great place to take photos. The hike through Indiana Run Falls is very easy, but there are some areas that require walking up and down steps, so it might not be the easiest hike for someone in a wheelchair or pushing a stroller. Otherwise, this is a great place to visit, and it's a good hike for kids because it's very short and sweet.

We opted to have an initial session and then be let loose. They even gave us dry erase boards to keep track of scores. We had a part of 11 and it didn't take too long but also didn't go by too fast to get through everyone. We showed up at 5:30, started throwing at 6pm and I think were done by 7:30 so we could get to dinner at 7:45. I tried calling both the people (T & H, for short) who administer the test to schedule it and neither one called me back. I also texted one of them (H) and never heard back. So I called the rec center and they gave me the email for H. I emailed him and he replied and we scheduled it. Then, two hours before the time we had scheduled, he emailed me and said he would be teaching a class at that time and could I do it myself? I had never paid attention to the set-up of the procedure so I said no. So he said he would get someone to cover for him and he'd be there at our scheduled time. I got there early and waited about 15 minutes before I went to the front desk to tell them I needed help with the scheduled test. The person followed me back to the in-body room and pointed to a man and said "That's H". So he was out in the hallway having a conversation and I was waiting (at that point nearly 20 minutes) for him. He came in and gave me the test. Some version of this happens every 3 months when I buy new passes and have to run the gauntlet to get my free test and it is extremely frustrating.

It was…read moreduring my research that I saw that My Barn is actually located in the North American section of the Columbus Zoo. My Barn is exactly how a child would describe a barn. The barn itself is red. The animals are in stalls. All the animals had hay in their stalls. There is a mini horse, sheep, goats, an adjacent chicken coop, and somewhere near by is a cow. Children are allowed to pet the animals. Unlike the petting zoos of my childhood, there are no coin operated feed machines. This is for the health and safety of all involved. Children are less likely to get nipped, and the zeepers are able to see how much the animals eat. There was an assortment of brushes to brush the goats. Wash stations are available right outside of the petting area, and in the barn itself.
