I cant believe the review I just read....Lefty is the kindest, most honest tattoo artist I have ever met. I have been getting tattooed by Lefty since he was at another shop here in the springs. He was not the first artist I worked with but I tell you from now on he will be my ONLY artist., The shop he was at before was Horrible the owners were so disgusting throwing all of there business in the open and I hated it BUT I ALWAYS CAME BACK FOR LEFTY to do my work. This is his second shop and he has been doing exceptional work judging by all the people who keep coming back to him. Maybe just maybe other people should get off of their high horse and realize that there is a possibility that the tattoo on your thumb didn't heal as well because it is on your thumb right near a joint and is always in motion? No NO NO it could never be because of placement could it??? And Lefty is one of the coolest people I've met since I moved to the springs BUT if you sensed ANY insecurity at all why then pray tell would you keep on with getting the tattoo?? As far as I know there is risk with getting your hands tattooed on any part as they are always is motion. The shop is always clean and ALL of the artists there are super incredible......and obviously you can please everyone all of the time....but I actually had to create a yelp account to combat this horrible review....And I have never taken the time to review anything.....maybe now I will start my new career as the tattooed reviewer......And just as a reference I have seven tattoos done by Lefty and each and every single one of them was done freehanded and with such patience and care..... I have never left a Yelp review before because I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I do, however, feel guilty not leaving a review because I would have killed to have read a review to stop me from making the worst decision ever in going to this place. I am writing the review for Dustin (Justin? He mumbled a lot so I was never really sure). Please please please do not go to him. He was anxious, abrasive, and insecure when asking me what I wanted/sketching the tattoo on my arm. I had a gut instinct (that I wrongly ignored) that told me to tell him I changed my mind and didn't want the tattoo. I have four tattoos already that are all beautiful but now I have the worst piece of shit ever on my arm. I cried all night and all day today. I have never regretted a decision so much. It looked nothing like the picture. Literally----you can't even tell what the fuck this is supposed to be on me. It would have been a very simple piece too. Anyways, I'm ranting now and I understand that. Just please do not go to him. It would make me feel better knowing I stopped someone from such an awful life-long decision. read more

Came on to write my 5 star review for Lefty's. I was shocked to see one of the reviews on here especially since it was a review on Lefty himself. After an awful experience I had 6 years ago with two tattoos from another local tattoo shop, I found Lefty's earlier this year. After visiting the shop during their grand opening I knew I was ready for something new. I talked to Lefty and he knew that as much as I wanted a new piece I was terrified about my past experience at the place I went to 6 years ago. Lefty talked to me and really calmed my nerves. He was a really nice guy and made me very comfortable. He drew my piece out to perfection and I had it done. After the perfect piece he gave me the first time, I knew I'd be back, I knew he was my forever artist. I went back again a few weeks ago and will be back again in a few weeks. This shop is clean and amazing! Great atmosphere, great people, and great work coming out of this place! I'd never go to anyone else! read more

Lefty's Tattoo is honestly the best shop in the Springs. I have two tattoos from there and both are absolutely beautiful, clean, and healed perfectly. The shop itself is clean with a great atmosphere due to the artists and the vibe they all put off; they are so friendly, kind, and are ready to make your tattoo session fun, relaxed, and comfortable! Lefty himself did one of my tattoos as well as one guest artist from the San Fran shop, Si'ichi and I wouldn't go to any other shop in town thanks to these guys. I went in and spoke with Kia (Kai-a) and she was understanding and kind in scheduling my appointment. When the time came, she showed me the designs she had drawn and they were fantastic! I had a few modifications but overall, the drawings were perfect for what I wanted. I'm new to the area so had no recommendations for any artists and took a chance here which ended up working out perfectly. She made me feel comfortable and assured me throughout the whole process everything was fine. The place was also really clean so I highly recommend giving this place a visit! read more

Adrian came up with an original tattoo sleeve while combining my ideas that I brought in from day one. He worked on coming up with an idea alone that was very well thought of and constructive. Nick as well gave some insight to help perfect this badass sleeve that I'm proud to wear. Adrian has by far exceeded my expectations and can tell how passionate he is about tattooing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a tattoo artist. read more

My girl and I came in on an absolute whim and were greeted by Adrian. He was busy at the time but we had agreed to come in later for our tattoos. WE WERE NOT disappointed. My boyfriend and I came in for walk in tattoos cause we were feeling bored and impulsive, and the employees were just wonderful . They were clean, timely and really kind. Lefty did my tattoo and he looked at the reference picture, drew on my tattoo, and went straight to it. I was originally planning on doing the exact design as the reference picture, but he helped me get a more original design that I love. read more

So my visit here was honestly really good, got a pretty sizable chest piece recently and both Adrain and Nick made the entire experience really easy and laid back. Felt super comfortable, Adrian was sure to check on how I was doing throughout the entire session and they made sure communication was really clear and I got exactly what I was looking for.
