I'm not understanding how people can get away with taking up the parking space other people could be using an from my understanding I believe the people who own this vehicle no longer lives in our community! I believe it's unfair for other people who lives here, who constantly have to find somewhere else to park , not only that but it honestly makes are community look trashy with all the trash that sits up on it I hardly ever see it move. New ownership brought new managers, and the new managers are pretty rude people even when its their own fault. Very unprofessional. It was great under the old folks, I am sure the owner would be shocked by the level of un professionalism that arrives from their staff. I have lived at Legacy since March 2015 and have found it to be an awesome place to live. Our new manager Irene has started some new community events which included a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner! (which 40 residents attended) Our pool is clean and "heated". Our staff is awesome! Yalexa and Jack work tirelessly to make sure your home is comfortable and any repairs are attended to asap. They got new management and the office staff is beyond rude. They don't notify residents they're closing early. Just hope you see the notice on the "common areas". Not sure where these are considering I've never seen them before. My lease says if they hold a package for more than 2 days you get charged $25 a day for them to hold it but they won't tell you if you have a package. The old management would send out emails but apparently that's asking too much of them. read more

The current management has improved greatly. However, they enforce the rules (apparently) based on...if they like you? I don't don't. People violate parking rules (expired or no tags) - only some get violation stickers. People leave all sorts of crap on the patios - only some are made to clean it. I could go on and on. read more

I used to enjoy living here until they got new management. I dont ask for much but when I do they mess it up and I really hope they get it together. They mess up on requests and then when you ask why the main manager says I'm not making excuses but..... The change in management wasn't a great move in my opinion. I paid good money for a nice apartment and when management changed we started getting hit with a fee to pay our bill online( no longer through a convenient app but some website I couldn't remember if I wanted to) the apartments and amenities are beautiful and serine but don't expect to get an all in one fob to access any of it. I have lived in a few apartments in my life and The Legacy at Dove Mountain is as good as It gets. It's Home! The manager and staff are Always professional. They listen and they care! The owner seems to take a real interest in the Property. The location is quiet, safe, and close To most things one might need. Well the Manager yelled at me yesterday that I could find 'nothing but good reviews of me' on Yelp. I don't know what she's looking at but I read plenty of negative. In any case, I'd also written positive a year ago when that was my experience. It is not now. New management. New rules. They had packages of mine a week without any notification to me. I was angry because the former management did inform. I went there on Saturday to see if they were there and the office was locked. There were 3 other residents there, complaining about this. 1 had just flown in and her dishwasher wasn't working. She was calling Shelton in PHX to complain about this place. I waited about a 1/2 hour and no one showed up. No explanation. That had happened 2 weeks ago also on a Saturday and no notice. They guy who'd worked there - just started a few weeks before- didn't come in. He's now gone too. Monday I called to let them know I had a dishwasher that flooded my kitchen floor and counter but I had cleaned it up and nobody needed to come in unless I was home, to look at it. Several hours later, I got a vm stating maintenance was on their way. I called back right away and nobody answered. As usual. I tried several times - no answer. I emailed. I drove back to the property and got there at 12:10. The office was, again, locked. No reason but this time a paper clock on the door stating they'd reopen at 12;30. I waited. It was a few minutes after that when they turned on the office lights and unlocked the door. Odd. The secretary was nice but I was already angry for the run around and going against what I'd said regarding not entering so my voice was firm, but nothing more. No swearing or yelling or belittling. Then her manager comes out. She's new. She got ignorant with me and I responded I didn't like her talking 'mean to me'. She retorted like a child and repeated to me exactly what I'd said ("well I think you're talking mean to me"). Professional response. Then she had the nerve to tell me her guys took PICTURES of my dishwasher and that I'd not washed my dishes properly because "it was filled with food". That's a lie. A garbage can is filled with food. After she implied I didn't clean well she then said "you know what.... I'll fix this. When you're lease comes up for renewal, I'm not signing it since you're so unhappy here, you can go elsewhere." I was shocked! I never had a late payment in the years I've been there. Management handled complaints they didn't throw you out because of them! I left angry and went home. Guess what I found on my door? A renewal notice telling me since I am such a great resident, they are hoping I renew. I have 5 days to do that on this current lease term. So: because SHE GOT MAD at me for "complaining", she's evicting me, regardless of just sending me out a renewal notice telling me how great a tenant I am. Professional. I called Shelton in PHX and they don't return calls. Probably because of a previous Yelp review about her. That's professional. So as a senior citizen on my own, I have to move or be homeless ALL BECAUSE I MADE THE MANAGEMENT MAD with complaints. All she had to do was sit and talk with me, show me some modicum of respect and come up with PROFESSIONAL solutions to how THEY/SHE can communicate better. Also, if she didn't want me to call them anymore, just say that. I go out of my way to care about this property. I also called them when other tenants were abusing it. The prior management told me to call them "whenever". But that's ok. If the rules have changed (they have), then ALL she had to do was tell me. But to evict me as a result of disagreeing with her how banal and BULLYING that is. It IS a nice (not great anymore) place if you never complain about their lack of communication or property maintenance (pool was down off and on for 1 month last summer as was the spa; dog manure lots of places; garbage overflowing, a patio that leaks rain from upstairs causing bad staining, etc.) But I don't have to ever call again. Let it be there. But now I've been bullied and threatened because I 'talked back'. This is they way this company performs PROFESSIONAL responsibilities. Nice. Thanks. There are other solutions and also, you're parking lot is emptying. I know what I'm talking about - I see it changing daily with people moving out. 3 on my side alone in 2 weeks have left angry and happy to move down the street. All it took was fair and professional (PROFESSIONAL) communication with me. I am a great tenant. But to do this is unconscionable. read more

Nice apartments when you first get there but maintenance is terrible and so is management. Was trying to move out and needed a blind that broke replaced because it was bad to begin with and I had to e-mail management about 5 times and call about 10 times with messages before getting any response. Once I did get a response it was that the maintenance man was on vacation for multiple weeks and no fixes would be happening. Then don't have 1 maintenance man!!! Hilda, the manager, purposely gave my wife a hard time when we moved out and charged us an additional $120+ for dog cleaning, when there were absolutely no stains and cleaning drawers which we cleaned to perfection ourselves and looked better than when we moved in. When we originally moved in the floors had tons of grout in them which should not have happened and we left spotless. This place and their management (Hilda) is a joke. read more

This place went downhill. Been living here for over a year. Major problems: If your neighbor is extremely noisy in the extreme early morning hours and you have made numerous complaints and even called the police; management will do nothing but tell you to suffer. You can keep an abondoned car with a tow sticker parked here for months. Management won't do anything. They turn off the heater for the pool during the winter but still make us pay the full price for gas; management won't reimburse us. There is a high turnover of staff here. read more

They advertise that living at Legacy apartments is an uplifting experience. I will explain why that is so very NOT the case. Let me start by saying that I'm not a disgruntled ex tenant who has ill will towards this place. I just call it like I see it. I've been living here for just about a year and I am really looking forward to my lease expiring. My biggest problem with this place is the over load of dog shit EVERYWHERE. What bugs me the most are when these dog owners let the dog shit right in front of the dog waste barrel, that just blows my mind. It blows my mind that the management for Legacy apartments does not enforce a strict pick up after your dog rule. My only other problem with this place is the manager. I relocated to Tucson in February 2015 and rented at the Legacy while we searched for a home. The customer service, maintenance and friendliness is amazing. The prices were also good. I highly recommend the Legacy as your temp/ or long term home. read more

I have lived at Legacy since May of this year and the staff is so great super friendly, maintenance pertains to issues as soon as they receive them or at least in a timely manner. My apartment flooded because I over packed my washer and they pertained to the issue very quickly. The price compared to other competitors is unbeatable. read more

Not a place I can recommend. This place is overpriced for what you get. They would plan activities for their residents but then cancelled or substituted something less.Noisy and disrespectful neighbors. The complex has gone downhill - lack of maintenance and effort. Repairs aren't done for weeks - the "security gate" was broke for months. Trash and dog poop are a common site (not to mention the rat that was in the pool filter!) This place is the best place I've ever lived!! I really don't understand how this place could have any negative reviews at all. The staff is so welcoming and professional, the free amenities are amazing, the neighbors are so quiet and courteous, and the apartments themselves are so spacious and luxurious! I loved going down to the clubhouse every day for a cup of coffee and checking out movies on Saturday for weekend movie marathons. I only ever had 1 maintenance issue and when I reported it it was addressed the same day. I wish I could have renewed my lease but a job offer in another state caused me to move. I'm so sad because where I currently live is not even close to Legacy. However, I always recommend this place to my friends back in Marana looking for a nice, affordable place to live. read more

Been living here for a while, trying to see how this place operates before giving a review. This place is quiet and tucked away from the main street (Tangerine) and is dog friendly with a little dog park near the pool and jacuzzi area. The pool is heated and the staff usually has towels on the lounge chairs for you to use and there's 2 gas barbecue grills at your disposal. The fitness room is clean and has ample room, cardio equipment, and some weight resistance machines and usually has workout towels for you to use. There's covered parking stalls, I think one covered stall per unit, and adequate open stalls for any other vehicles. If you own an SUV/truck or a large car, don't bother leasing a garage. I've seen how small the garages are and a mid-size car looks like a tight squeeze. The maintenance staff is friendly and usually gets any repair requests done within a day or two. I would've given this place 5 stars for this review but unfortunately one of the leasing office staff member is a pure b**ch. She's never friendly and tends to be condescending when you have to talk to her in person. Other than that bad apple, the Legacy at Dove Mountain is a really nice place to live. read more

The office staff is condescending and does not care about any complaints. The exterior lighting is out on more than half the parking and street lights as well as building exteriors.. The manager allows illegal/unregistered vehicles to remain on site for months. The lease is specific that this will not be tolerated but they remain. These are junk cars. The "security" gates don't work half the time. The pool is not kept heated as advertised. This is just to name a few of the many ways they are letting this property go down hill fast. They put up a good "front" to the unsuspecting new comer. In recent months the police are here very frequently. Break-in, theft, property damage! Lived here from April of 14 to August of 15. Had a wonderful experience in all aspects. The location and area are what sold it for me when I looked at the apartments. I transferred here from North Carolina and had never been to Tucson before. But once I drove up Twin Peaks and saw the area, I loved it. The apartments are nice and come with some nice standard features: electric fireplace heater and a radio/tv in the kitchen, dishwasher, and a garbage disposal. The apartments come with 1 covered parking spot, as mentioned. Never had any issues finding an uncovered spot in my time there. The pool and jacuzzi were where i spent a large portion of my weekends. Even during the winter the pool was heated and warm enough to be in comfortably. And the jacuzzi was great during the winter months and I spent more than 1 night smoking a cigar while I drank scotch and enjoyed the warm water. The workout center is comparable to a hotel fitness center. A few different cardio machines and an all in one resistance style bench/leg machine. Not enough for a bodybuilder, but good enough to get the job done for a day if you don't want to leave the apartment complex. Another benefit I liked, was that there is a walgreens within walking distance. Makes for an enjoyable evening or afternoon stroll if all you want is a quick snack or beer. My experience with the management was also very nice. Dawn, Henry, and Hilda(sp?) all are very professional and nice when you walk in the office or call. On the weekend Henry can sometimes be found bbq'ing with his family and is more than eager to share any food he might have (I recommend his ribs if you get the opportunity. AMAZING!!!). Any maintenance issues were handled the same day I reported any problems. The people in the community are also extremely nice. Most of the residents enjoy getting to know the other residents and are very friendly and easy going. In all I had a great experience living here and would recommend it to my friends if they were looking for an apartment. read more

I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Hidden in the lease is an absurd concierge fee that no one ever uses and is purely a scam to cheat people out of their money. When I moved in there was a massive bug problem with crickets IN the apartments prompting me to kill up to 1 dozen per day. The staff is incredibly incompetent in every aspect. They hold your rent check for weeks on end (they held my rent check paying 2 months in advance for over 4 weeks) and think this is an appropriate way to conduct business. I really feel sorry for senior citizens who live here and have to put up with this ridiculous practice as it makes budgeting awful. Be prepared to put up with random entire days when they will give you notice of intent to enter for absurd contrived reasons....so be dressed, ready for intrusive and rude visitors to interrupt your day at any time within an 8-hour period, and when asking if they can be more specific about times to enter just reconcile yourself to the brushoff and complete lack of consideration for residents paying the high rent here. Also there is massive construction going on right next door that will disturb your day constantly. The one time I asked for assistance regarding someone in my parking spot the complex manager was grossly rude and sarcastic with, of course, nothing being done about it. The staff here has displayed a level of incompetence that I literally have never experienced with an apartment complex in my entire life. The area and location are super nice. The apartments are also very nice. However, when you move in, you are granted one covered spot, which is standard, but most people usually have two cars if your a family or couple. The uncovered spots are VERY limited, meaning you have to get one early or else you'll be parking nowhere near your apartment. Don't bother calling the maintenance man because most of the basics are "not part of his job" as he states. Besides the manager, no other person can answer any of your questions. They are incompetent and uneducated about their property. Throughout my 2 years living here, I have seen the manager about 3 times during the times I have been there, so it is very difficult to get any question answered. If you want to transfer before your lease is over, it will cost you about an arm and a leg and maybe your butt cheek too. In addition, the pool is advertised as heated, biggest lie ever. When I moved here, it was ice cold, never once has it been heated. Usually the pool is full of bugs. Also, the jacuzzi is not that relaxing when all you get is constant inhalation of chlorine galore. The security gates are constantly broken and it takes several weeks to months to get fixed. Furthermore, they say that pest control comes often, but all I ever see, are crickets and scorpions and lizards EVERYWHERE. I kill about 3 crickets a day inside my apartment everyday and I am a VERY clean person. read more

I have been here for a bit now and it has really gone down hill. Like other comments (that yelp doesn't show) the pool is heated but they turn it off way to soon and the water gets extremely cold. The hot tub is huge but rinks of chlorine due to the lack of conditioner. The exterminating they claim to do is not adequate, spiders are everywhere. The landscaping use to be amazing but maybe they needed to save some money for it has gone extremely down hill. The entrance gates break all the time and takes weeks to fix. They do allow pets but other tenants continuously complain about the dogs on property. As far as staff goes, I haven't had much of an issue. The property manager on sight can come across as a B* but it is her job. I do feel the rent is over priced for what you get. The wonderful gas barbeques on sight are great, except they never get cleaned and have years of build up as well as the knobs don't work properly. The fire pits are always missing knobs so those are out the question. There are some positives. It is normally very quiet. It is very safe and is extremely close to the new outlets being built and has easy access to I-10 for commute to downtown (15mins) or Phoenix. I really can't recommend this place. Sorry Legacy. I would give it a lower rating but yelp would hide the review as not helpful. P.S the McDonald's near by is the worst I have ever seen. But that's for another day.
