    OXTAIL EGGROLLS

Got my order via doordash. First time ever food arrived hot which means they cooked it fresh and ready to go, not just sitting around pre cooked. The food was amazing. The egg rolls and the salmon bites were top tier

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was very nice. They have a lot of seating areas and there is also a pool table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The girl who helped us was very sweet. She informed me I would love my food. We ordered fish and grits and an oxtail dinner with extra oxtails. The dinner plate came with two sides so I got the cabbage and rice and peas. I was curious about the greens so I got a side order of those. I was shocked it didn't come with any bread. I also ordered a mimosa that I didn't not like. I ordered the legacy mimosa with orange juice. The juice was hot, it wasn't for me. Let's get into this food though. My friend had the fried fish and grits. There were three big pieces of fish and a bowl of grits. The fish was pretty good and she loved it. I did not try the grits but she said they were perfect. The oxtails! They were good. They were seasoned and tender! I don't say it often but wow they were good. The rice and peas were good too. The lady told me the greens didn't come out of a can but I'm not so sure. I didn't care for the cabbage because they could have been cooked a bit more. I was very happy with the oxtails and rice. I will go again and I give them a 9 out of ten. Well, what are you waiting for? Go try them!

We came on a Sunday when there was a DJ. Food was good actually really good! I was in a party of 3 and all of the food and drinks were good. We had fish and grits, oxtails and grits and a philly cheesesteak. We all had the fuzzy peach mimosa! Our waitress was great! Music was good and the bill wasn't overwhelming! I would definitely return if I was in the area! Columbia you are missing out on a good time! Music, drinks, pool table and great food! Good job folks

The place is nice with large bar in center of floor also a DJ booth they offer to go orders also. We sat at bar and they have plenty of seating also pool table. Daily specials offered and Karaoke nights. Egg rolls were great and drink specials is what we tried today, had Togo order of the jerk chicken, cabbage and rice and peas which were all ok.

Great place! Came back into town and saw Legacy is in a whole new building. It's been awhile since I've been here but same great food! The service was amazing, we loved our waitress, YaYa was great! I door dashed MONDAY at NIGHT 10:30 pm after hurricane Helene.. . I had a craving for oxtail, and my expectations were very low. The food was delicious and worth the $30

Had dinner here with a friend. We ordered drinks, the Caribbean egg rolls, curry goat, oxtails, rice & peas, cabbage, plantains, and macaroni. Fist and foremost those eggrolls has nothing Caribbean about them BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Another disappointment the only got items on the table were the plain twins & the eggrolls. All of the food was room temperature & some of the curry goat was dry like the plate has been sitting there. It's like the plates are sitting under a warmer for an illusion that the food is hot. Like someone said before the food was bland. Don't get me wrong it had a tad flavor but there was no spice or anything unique to it. The drink I had was extremely too sweet, it gave me an upset stomach so I had to leave. I don't think that this place is kid friendly after 830 ish on Saturday evenings. So if you're looking for family dinner please do not come here with your kids late (just my personal opinion) for the parents. Nothing dangerous just the vibe with hookahs & music is not appropriate for children. Our waitress was great! The staff was helpful and nice. I would try it again if there is seasoning added to the food and the food is actually hot! Not a bad experience but not something to brag about.

Brown stew fish (red snapper), with collards and rice and peas.

I have to say that I was just... underwhelmed. I think I've eaten here before, but it wasn't memorable until I walked in. The place is HUGE, but empty. I was craving whole fish, which is hard to find and they recommended their brown stew fish. It's a medium sized whole red snapper that's been fried, then covered in a lightly spiced thin brown sauce with potatoes and bell peppers. It was okay. I liked that the sauce wasn't sweet, but for me it needed just a bit more heat. Will I order it again? I think yes. But I think I'll order the sauce and veggies on the side so I can enjoy a crispy fried whole snapper. The rice and peas. it had potential. First bite, I was grateful that the rice wasn't dry. The dish was moist at least, but then you realize that it doesn't really have any flavor. Like it was moist, but bland, and sort of chalky? I didn't really complain because replacing a sad side just isn't worth the hassle. Though if these had been good it would have been a great deal. It was a huge serving! But as it was, I could only eat a few bites of it. The Collards were decent. They were tender but not overcooked. And they were seasoned. But I'm southern. I need pepper vinegar or good hot sauce. It's a carribean /Jamaican place. I asked for hot sauce and got packets of texas pete. . Really? Not even some real Jamaican hot sauce in a little cup if you don't want people touching the bottle or some Tabasco?? So, yeah. I won't be ordering the peas and rice or the Mac and cheese (I've had it before and it was old, dry and crunchy).

Just stumbled across this awesome place on our way to Rock Hill from Charleston. We haven't had Jamaican in a while and this place didn't disappoint. We tried a bit of everything. Their pies, curry & stew chicken with all the trimmings: rice/peas, cabbage and collard greens. All for ONLY $15 + $3 a pie. Plenty for 2 as well. Wow, bloody wow. Another circus in our mouths :) Highly recommend this place. The customer service was top notch also. 5 Stars and 3 Thumbs Up from us.

Excellent ox tails, cabbage, rice and beans. The vibe is Caribbean Smooth. Really smooth with a great bar and decent drinks. Let me get back to the highlight of the show. Dem Ox Tails On Point. The pepper sauce is and the cabbage just works! Straight Dope Spot.

Brown stew fish-red snapper with rice and peas and cabbage.
    Melencia J.

My first time here on a whim. I will be back. The red snapper was delicious. I hadn't had a whole fish in a long time. The thyme pieces in the stew and the fish bones were the only things that kept me from devouring everything in five minutes. I only wish some pepper sauce was available (they were out). Also, I really don't like eating with plastic utensils. I totally understand COVID-19 protocols, but I prefer a real fork and plate. We sat at the bar and our server was nice. The food did take awhile, but it arrived hot and ready to eat.

I was still like "we'll see about that". Parking wasn't too bad. Being that it's on the perimeter of Columbia Mall or what was Columbia Mall, there's parking surrounding the business. It wasn't too packed which was great. We walked in and sat ourselves at a table. The waitress came over and greeted us within a few minutes. I believe they have happy hour in the price of $3 for their house liquors. The drinks are made well. The menu had a bit of a variety and it was hard for me to choose what I wanted because everything seemed like it would be tasty. After placing an order, the salads came out within 10-15 minutes, then the appetizer and right after the entrées. The food was hot. I ordered the egg rolls and the sweet and spicy wings. I wish the appetizer, which were the egg rolls, would have came out sooner as they were warm than hot, but they were good and came with a specialty sauce. It had a light kick but was tasty. The wings were good and hot. The sweet and spicy sauce had a good taste. I wish they were crispier as I requested. The fries were so good! Hot and seasoned well. The salads looked great as well but I did not have those. Their chicken club sandwich looked good as well and my sister said it was delicious!

You park and get out order at the window and go back to the window when your food is ready. My husband has been sent in and I thought this would be a good treat for Good Friday to have some food that reminds him a bit of his home. We ordered curry goat and oxtails with rice and peas mac & cheese and plantains. I ordered rice with mac & cheese, plantains and okra. I did enjoy the okra, it was cooked really well. It also tasted pretty good. The mac & cheese was good, I wish for a slight more bite with the cheese so on a scale of five I'd give it a four out of five. The portion size was OK for me, but not for my husband who is 64 and 260 pounds. He felt the goat was pretty good, but the oxtail not so much. He liked the rice and peas, but wish there were more peas. We could count the peas in his rice and in my rice and still have fingers left. What we're used to is a good ratio, rice and peas. I had food from here before and really enjoyed it. We also received the pineapple and ginger juice and the sorrel and we love them both. Those were made really well.

The jerk chicken appeared to be overcooked or old. The plate came with 3 sides. So I chose plantains, cabbage, and green beans. The plantains were the worse I've had, the cabbage was okay and the green beans were flavorless. I would give this entire meal 4/10. The large oxtail plate was basic. It also came with 3 sides; macaroni, white rice, and cabbage. Definitely the least enjoyable oxtails we've tried in the area. The macaroni needed salt and the oxtails were tough.
