Only came here for one game for our travel team. I was less than impressed with the officiating, but that has nothing to do with the facility. There was an outdoor, and it looked like an indoor playing field as well We played outdoors on a beautiful turf field. The area is surrounded by a forest, which makes it a very attractive place. We are not from the area, so I'm not aware of what else they have but this is a really good place to travel to for a game read more

Not sure how this place...or who characterized it as a "day care" (I guess Comerica Park would be daycare if you dropped your kids off for a baseball game), but 100% this place is for indoor soccer league playing. Nice facility, three large, well-kept fields. Free wi-fi, concessions that are very reasonable, big screen TVs if you'd rather watch National and International Sports. read more

My son just completed an indoor soccer season and I must say it was a complete joke. The schedule does not come out until a week after it was supposed to start and then they had to play a doubleheader to make up the one they missed. They seem to make a fair amount of money for our team and supply very little for the money. They are sucking it in and not giving out much to the kids as far as having an experience that advances them in learning. The refs were so inconsistent with calls from game to game it was impossible to know what rules would be enforced each week. One week you could head the ball the next you could not. On week shoving was tolerated, the next it was called. Although, house teams tended to be allowed to "get away" with a lot more than the non-WideWorld teams. Our final match began like a one-sided hockey game with the other team (a house team) allowed to shove and throw elbows without being called. We were told by the ref that it was completely legal. We were fine with some aggressive play and completely understand if feet get tangled and kids fall, but this game had blatent shoving and pushing. Including hitting my son while he was in the air and dropping him to the turf. The ref was not going make the call until our coaches seriously objected! The coach (a WideWorld key staff member) seemed to encourage his slow kids who lacked any footwork or speed to use their elbows since they couldn't keep up. I will take my money to Canton High Velocity where I hear they run a better program with actual learning and sportsmanship in mind. I love to win but not by cheap play. I went here on a Sunday night and the following Tuesday evening. I've been to at least a dozen indoor soccer facilities through the years and this is probably the best one. Parking is decent and it's very clean. There are only three fields I believe so it's not overwhelming. And they play 1970's classic rock. :) At least that's what was playing near the field my son played on. My son asked to sub for a team he didn't know and had to track down management for a green penny to wear. The woman was kind and helped him immediately. read more

I have played soccer at many places ranging from high velocity in Canton, total sports Novi, but wide world in Ann Arbor has to be one of the lowest class organizations I've ever participated with before. The staff is highly unprofessional and it is as if they were just hire anyone off the street. Definitely not worth the money. read more

I love their indoor soccer league! + large, clean bathrooms + games start on time + Adequate refs (come on, they are not that bad, and they do try their best) + turf is high quality, as I havent left with major turf burns so far +facilities are clean +ample parking + working scoreboards and water fountains. I jumped in a last-minute pickup soccer game on one of their fields which I was told has new turf and I was pretty impressed! As someone who's played at places like SoccerZone where the turf is hard, to places like the Genesee Field House where the turf is phenomenal, I would have to say that WideWorld ranks up there with the Field House. Though is was later in the evening when I played, it was well-lit, there was plenty of seating, and you've got full control of the field and score board for the duration of your session. The walls are solid, the nets are in great condition, and subbing is made easy with multiple doors in and out of the field. Clean bathrooms, maintained drinking fountains, multiple vending machines, and while I unfortunately I can't speak for the quality of the concession stand as it was closed when I arrived, it looked like the quality standard you'd expect from a well maintained indoor facility. All in all I definitely recommend playing here. Easy access to the highway and just a stones throw from Dick's Sporting Goods and Target makes it easy to grab that last second shirt or pair of cleats if you've forgotten something. read more

WideWorld Sports Center is the best! It is the best indoor soccer facility in Washtenaw County. Kids thru adults for years have enjoyed lessons and league play...The staff and owners are awesome, not perfect, but awesome. This place is a good place to go because there is nothing else in the area. I could go to Canton but their place seems to encourage fights during or after games. Wide World is an oven in the summer, chilly in the winter, but the roof keeps the snow and rain off you. The fields are fine and I have nothing negative to say about the facilities. The bathrooms are never disgusting or overly dirty and I can't complain. They have concession stands in the middle of everything but I don't think I've ever seen a hot dog sold a person manning the station. It's a good place that has some competitive leagues. This is the only place in town and they suck. I recently discovered that if you verbally complain about a ref to the office after the game they don't write it down and tell the head ref. Its nice to know that most of the complaints are just ignored. I can only wonder actually emailing them would work out different. read more

As it is the only place to play soccer locally I continue to return but overall the facility is getting shabbier by the day (leaking roof, carpet bunching on fields; despite inserting a $15 membership fee a year ago to "make improvements"), and the customer service from a certain Craig Coleman is quite frankly the worst I have known. I drag my team back session after session for the love of playing with friends and against newer friends, despite the frosty welcome from Craig. And don't even try telling him you might have an issue with anything (schedule/ facility) because instead of offer a glimmer of a sincere apology or solution he will be on the spot with some unnecessarily objectionable reply. Playing there on week day evenings I have never known the concessions to be open. read more

Fields are ok. Very poor reffing. Nothing gets called, hence everyone gets injured. In just a few games, I've seen broken bones, concussions, heads split open with blood all over the field. Won't be playing here anymore. read more
