I needed a new front patio and walkway poured to replace a wooden deck and old concrete. Robert was great during the estimate process, answering questions about my ideas, giving suggestions and explaining what could be done. He was very realistic about what made sense to do, without overselling or up-selling. Jose and the crew were great, again taking time to discuss even small things with me as they came up. Rob sealed the concrete and answered more of my questions. The carpenter contracted through Legacy to brace the awning and then replace the structural posts was also really helpful. It was not the cheapest or most expensive quote I got, but I'm very happy with the results and confident of the quality work, and how it will look with finished landscaping around it and new house paint. read more

We solicited a bid from Legacy, in addition to 2 other concrete companies, after receiving recommendations through Home Advisor. They were in the middle of the pack price-wise, but a few things stood out. We loved that this was a highly rated, family run company that seemed to genuinely care about their customers. They offered true rebar in the structure instead of just wire mesh, their concrete mixture was a higher rated PSI, and they offered at least a 1" thicker pour than the other estimates. All of this seemed to add up to a better quality product for the price to us! Back in December 2019 when we had the patio installed, every one was professional, communicative, and fantastic to work with! Even when we had to make some changes to the footprint of the patio on the fly due to grading and a tree we didn't want to lose, the team made adjustments, saved our tree, and didn't charge any additional money. They helped with color selection (I wanted to be sure it would actually have a wood look), layout, and ensured we had a patio to love for many years to come! It has now been almost 2 years and it still looks fantastic. In fact, we've had bidders out for estimates the last couple months for sprinkler repairs, windows, and exterior painting...and everyone asks the same thing: "What is this? It's not Trex, is it?" They're amazed it's concrete and they've all taken Legacy's name from us. Hopefully it generates some business for them - makes me so happy we chose Legacy! The concert looks good, quality finishing. I Was in concrete for 15yrs so know good work but when I did out in the late 90's -early 2000's we would back fill landscape on residential, looks like times have changed. Again quality work if need more (which I will) might call them back cause at least I know finish product will be good. read more

We have been living with a sunken patio and a walkway that slopes the wrong way for years and we finally decided to do something about it. After a lengthy Google, Yelp, BBB and other site searches we solicited bids from four concrete contractors. We selected Legacy. From the initial estimate through final inspection, The owner, Robert, and the crew were fantastic. Our situation was a difficult one, and no other contractor could develop and execute a creative solution that addressed all of our many issues. Jacob and the work crew were great to work with, kept us informed throughout, and really produced a wonderful result. Legacy was not the lowest bid, but was by far the best design to do the job. Only one star because they showed up with a crew when scheduled the first date but the actual finished product sucked There was a lag between pouring the concrete and sealing. This is the messiness of the boarders and the leaf imprints that has me unhappy. Go somewhere else if you have a job that attaches to existing concrete. And especially don't use this company if you are a "small job". No matter their reply I spent $4500 on an 8x.12 patio that looks like crap and the owner is trying to put their lack of communication for 48 hours to seal on me and not acknowledging that I had to reach out for finishing and also allowed my dogs in my back yard which didn't address the sloppiness of the seams. Use someone else Edited to add- when I complained the owner blamed me for not expressing soon enough that the seams and actual new concrete pad looked like it did. I've never used a more unprofessional company to improve my home. read more

I'm very late in writing this. We used Legacy to have our front porch and steps redone. The men were very friendly and seemed to do a good job. After 3 weeks, the sidewalk sunk, the porch cracked and the whole thing is at a downward slope. We contacted Legacy, and they would do nothing about it. After a few calls, they stopped returning our calls. I would just say, get more estimates. This company is not worth the money they were paid. And now we have to have it redone! I'd give them zero stars, but you have to put something down. read more

Talk about a great experience from the beginning to the end! Robert, the owner, arrived on time to do the estimate as well as Eric, Jose and the crew to do the job. The estimate was a very fair price considering the size of the job they were doing. Most companies would simply lay a mesh for reinforcement but Legacy lays down #4 rebars for extra strength. Fibers are mixed into the concrete to further strengthen the pour. I chose to stamp and color my walkway and driveway ribbons/borders. The crew did a great job for a job that had its challenges. During the framing phase I made a few design changes and Eric, the lead, was always very patient and accommodating, made sure that I, the home owner, was going to be happy with the work they did. When the job was complete, I was super happy and satisfied with the quality work done by Robert and his team! Awesome value for the money! Worth every penny and then some! I will definitely call on Legacy Concrete for any future concrete work. Sad to hear about the negative feedback here on Yelp but I did not have any problems or issues with Robert or anyone in his crew. Sure there were somethings that I had to do like have my sprinklers moved and that was agreed upon before the project was started. I think owners have to understand that we are responsible for certain amount of work. read more

These guys are tremendous! I have hired them twice; once to pour a new patio, and the second time to replace some rather poor work that a previous contractor had done. RIP OFF. This company did my driveway incorrectly twice! They did the driveway, it ended up cracking and flaking less than a year later. They re-did it and the same thing happened one year later. The owner Robert is refusing to give me my money back even though he has yet to deliver what I paid for - a finished driveway. He blames the ENTIRE DRIVEWAY CRACKING on us putting "Salt". See the attached photos and decide for yourself, do you want a driveway or do you want this? PLEASE go with a different company as they continue to do an awful job. read more

They do not follow through with their promises!!! Their sales person guaranteed me that any cracks would be covered. I called about two hairline cracks on the warranty and they refuse to do anything about it. I would have had new concrete put in before this happened if I know they were not going to follow through with their promise. read more

Although I did not use Legacy Concrete for the concrete walkway project I just completed I wanted to commend them for responding immediately to my Yelp request for quote and for discussing the project with me. I did not chose Legacy only because their schedule was too far out for my needs. I do however want to recognize their professionalism in responding to a quote request for what is a small job for a concrete contractor in a timely way. HORRIBLE COMPANY AND AWFUL QUALITY OF WORK. ALSO NOTE MANY OF THE "POSITIVE" REVIEWS ARE WORDED VERY SIMILAR AND ARE PRETTY CLEARLY FAKE REVIEWS. This company completed a stamped concrete patio with very poor quality work. The patio has damages along the edging of the samps and is very uneven in the height. They made a big mess of my yard tracking concrete across my grass which killed several areas on the lawn. They left a significant mess of concrete splatter on the side of my house and fence. The patio was significantly higher off the ground than we divussed and in some areas was 12+inches off the ground, which is not to code. Also the concrete is sloping towards my house resulting in water pooling and draining into the foundation. I was 5old by 3 contractors and 2 structural engineers that this will cause significant structural damage to my home. The communication about the project was poor and the owner even admitted it was poor communication on their end but would still not resolve the problems caused by the lack of communication. The workers were drinking beer and smoking on my property and left beer bottle caps and cigarette butts all over my property. When I attempted to resolve this with the owner he began verbally berating me and calling me names over the phone. He then appeared at my home and came in my backyard without permission refusing to leave and threatening to break up the patio with a jackhammer. He was calling me a "crybaby" because I told him it was not my responsibility to clean up their messes and he needed to send people back to clean up. He later apologized saying his uncle passed away the night before and he was having a bad day and offered to seal the patio and fill in dirt around the patio to make up for his poor behavior. He completed the sealant but left more splatter on the sides of my house and fence that he did not clean up. The job was to include a firepit and seating area and he would not schedule a date to compete the work resulting me my decision to go through a different company for the remainder of the job. They damaged my sprinkler line and would not cover the cost of the damage. And then would not set a date to complete the remainder of their obligations to fill in dirt around the patio despite me request multiple times to schedule for this to be completed. We finally scheduled a time for them to come see the damages and complete the work, I let Robert know that due to his verbal abuse the first time I expressed concerns I wanted a neutral third party present via a civil assist with the Sheriff's office and he now refused to come canceling the appointment and is stating he will not complete the work or fix the problem areas. This issue went through an initial arbitration with BBB and when the initial arbitrator made a determination that his health issues got in the way of making a far decision at the hearing and it would need to go back to arbitration Legacy Concrete refused to do a second hearing resulting in the complaint closing as unresolved and they lost their accreditation with BBB. So now I am having to file this in court. Also the owner Robert contacted other contractors who completed inspections and wrote up statements about the issues with the patio trying to talk them out of testifying which is highly unethical. Do NOT do business with this company. The positive reviews are misleading and have been writing by what appears to be his family members to include his wife. read more

Once we spoke to Robert and his team and heard all of the work his team was going to do and include a 2 year warranty on the surface it was obvious to us that Legacy Concrete was the company to use. On time, ahead of schedule and right on budget. These guys are the real deal when it comes to quality and customer service - Rob and Robert even helped with setting my anchor for the basketball hoop (for free)- which was not in the original estimate. I am not an easy customer to please, and these guys impressed me. From the moment the first appointment was scheduled, to the prep, delivery and pour, to the clean up. They even helped my two boys put their hand prints for prosperity! I have used contractors, subs, and hired out to pros before - from roofers to tile, and siding, to paint and landscaping. Legacy Concrete is the best contractor that I have ever used in the last 17 years. Oh yea they are family ran and I think the shortest tenure guy they have has been with them 6 years. I was referred to this company by my neighbor when our neighborhood was marked for having tripping hazards (cracked sidewalks). After looking at the sidewalk with Keith, he determined I would need 6 squares of sidewalk replaced to eliminate the marked "hazards". I have an additional section of sidewalk that juts out to the street which wasn't marked but I wanted it to be replaced because it was chipped pretty bad. He agreed and sent me a quote for 7 squares for approximately $1900. seemed like a great deal. I asked when he could do the work, and he said "sometime in the new few weeks". about 2 weeks go by and my wife was leaving for work and saw Keith standing outside and told her that he was starting today and to make sure we get our vehicles out of the garage if we need them (a couple of the squares crossed the driveway). I was working from home at the time so it wasn't a big deal, but it would have been nice to have been contacted so we could plan for it. I was working all day at the house and when I came outside later in the afternoon, they were pouring cement, and I noticed that they tore out 2 additional squares of sidewalk in my driveway, and neglected the piece that I specifically asked for that juts out to the street. I mentioned this to one of the laborers who was finishing and he had no idea what I was talking about, but said that Keith would get ahold of me. Later in the day I came outside and noticed he was standing in my yard, and before I had a chance to speak with him he hopped in his truck and drove away. He never called or attempted to contact me to discuss the issue. I received a call a few days later from a woman asking if I was home and if she could stop by and collect a payment. I told her that I was still waiting to hear from Keith, and that the work was not finished, and she said she would have him call to discuss before we went over the bill. He called me pretty fast and I told him how the section I specifically asked for was missed, and that he had diverted from the contract. The contract states specifically "All work is to be completed in a substantial workman like manner according to specifications submitted, per standard practices. An alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only upon written orders and will become an extra charge over and above the estimate." He gave me a bunch of excuses about how busy they are, how many jobs they have right now, and how much money they were making compared to other years, as if that was supposed to make the situation better. He told me that he had to make an "executive decision" to add the additional squares, and said he knocked on my door to try to talk to me about it but nobody answered. I have a very alert dog, a doorbell, and security cameras, and this guy never even came close to my door. He never called me either. He seemed genuinely sorry about the mistake, and said that if I pay my bill he would come back and do the remaining piece that he missed when he pours my neighbors driveway. I agreed this was fair, and assumed it would get done eventually. I then returned outside to pay the woman that was waiting with the bill, and noticed they crossed out my initial estimate of $1900, and added $300 to the cost and this was never discussed. I wrote a check for the amount that we had agreed upon ($1900) and waited for the job to be finished. Needless to say its been weeks, and my neighbors driveway is done, and they clearly are not going to finish the job. Had he actually came back to finish it I would have written him a check for the remaining $300, but at this point I had lost all trust that he even remembered me as a client. At the end of the day the laborers poor good concrete, but the management is sub par and if you go with them, you would do well to triple check what they are doing/planning because they cant keep the jobs straight and have zero customer service or communication. Robert kept in touch as our scheduled week approached with updates on when the crew would arrive. They got our large, slightly outside the box and difficult project done in 2 days. It included best value, previous customer feedback, experience, product quality and customer service. Based on this study we down-selected Legacy Concrete. They installed two driveways and a sidewalk at our properties. Their products and services are exemplary. What we soon learn about this family owned business is that it is run by the third generation with over 40 years of experience passed down to their employees, most of which have worked an average of 16 years with the company. They worked as an integrated team delivering a superior product of the best quality. We quickly found that they delivered what was on contract plus some. Their customer service sets the industry standard for excellence. They are easy to work with, their word it their bond, and reliably a given. I must say, I really had to leave comment about this company since I was shocked with the lack of knowledge and skills their representative demonstrate. I waited two weeks for an estimate and when Robert Hoffschneider showed up in 15 minutes, he was insisting on he does not need to level the job under the concrete, he just dumps the concrete in place and had no concern with the leveling. He believed it was the job of landscaper for a 3 feet wide to handle that portion of the job. keep in mind that this is a great job of covering all around the house and all the back yard and changing the front entrance ( over 3000 sq,ft). He thought my request was unreasonable since my first concern with this job was taking water away from the house. Anyway, I believe this company specially Robert would be absolutely the wrong person for concrete job. I highly suggest to do your homework before hiring this company. I am glad, I did not waste my time and money just to create more frustration for myself. read more
