In addition, I wanted it to look attractive throughout the year. After doing considerable research, I found Landscape Connection and called them. Within a very short time, I was put in touch with Hailey Bruchner who came to my house and talked to my wife and me about what we wanted and contributed some ideas of her own. I was so impressed with her, I lost no time in hiring her company. Soon after that Hailey presented us with a detailed design that included everything we wanted and more. Once we decided to move forward, Hailey met me at Jensen Sales where together we selected rocks. I enjoy looking at rocks and I can appreciate their individual and unique beauty. As we looked at what was available, I could see that Hailey loves rocks too and has a superb eye when evaluating them. In fact, her discerning eye was applied to every aspect of the project, and not only is she talented, knowledgeable and experienced, she is professional, warm and a pleasure to work with. We have done numerous house projects with other companies and Mile High is by far the worst of any we've ever worked with. It's not even close. The issues we experienced are too many to count. Our Landscape Architect and Project Manager had a falling out with the owners and walked off the job on Day 1, setting everything back. The owners assumed project management and were clueless about the project and so much was lost in transition. It resulted in tons of issues, missed handoffs, cost escalations, delays, and frustrations for us as the customer. The owners are not serious, professional people and they do not have a customer focus. They don't own their work and will not be accountable for results. They will tell you they will provide updates and will then go dark. We had a big party at our house and before the project started, we said it had to be done in time for the event, and we were told "no problem at all" as the project would only be 4-6 weeks, and of course it took more than 8 weeks and our backyard was a mess for the event. They'll tell you anything to initiate a project and ensure that all bills are paid on time, but are extremely unreliable when it comes to delivering. It is extremely frustrating to work with this company and you, as the customer, will have to constantly stay on top of them and the work. You'll find yourself asking why are you even paying them (especially paying a premium)! Heed this advice and do not work with Mile High Landscaping. You will be sorry if you do.

They were doing some work on a neighbor's property when one of their trucks accidentally backed into my car. The owner appeared immediately and we exchanged information. I told him I'd take the car to a body shop for an estimate and get back to him. Unfortunately, the estimate was for about $4,000 and the blue book value of my car is less than $2,000. It's an older car, but has been in the family since it left the dealer's lot and has been well cared for. I wouldn't drive it across the country, but it's reliable and perfect for local trips and irreplaceable at that price. I let the owner know...he thought about it for a moment and said "we have a garage we use for our vehicles. Take it there and they'll fix it for you on me." The next day we dropped off the car at a shop in Denver. No paper work, just a handshake. Have to admit I was a little uneasy about what to expect. But what do you know- about a week later my car is back in front of my house! Looked fine to me and I had my usual mechanic check out the work. Two thumbs up. So the moral of the story- I haven't had any landscaping done by A Sharper Image Landscaping. But I am certain that if I do, I can trust that they will treat me well and do the job right.
