They were present at check-in; we never left doors/windows open. We documented everything with photos and contacted management. The response was even more concerning: the property acknowledged the insects in writing but dismissed them as "harmless" and "seasonal." Regardless, guests should not be checking into a unit with insects throughout the space. There werea also broader maintenance issues: stained sheets/linens, missing bathroom tiles, duct tape around floorboards, and intermittent blackouts that repeatedly knocked out lights and Wi-Fi. We have photos and written correspondence documenting the conditions. Would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

The decorations were super awesome and my parents still are confused that we weren't in an air bnb The room was a bit small, but for a one night stay it was perfect. The lobby bar was incredible - highly recommend! The beer tasted extra good for some reason, and they also have food too (bar food). The location of the hotel also was awesome! It was walking distance from pretty much everything you needed! Overall, I highly recommend the hotel for any short stays you have coming up to Columbus!

But as someone traveling for work, the fold-away desk was basically useless to me because there wasn't a single outlet anywhere near it. Such a strange design choice. And the coffee situation drove me nuts. I already don't love that there's no coffee maker in the room, but I get it - that's the concept. So I came downstairs at 7:45 a.m. to get the advertised coffee...and it was completely empty. No coffee upstairs. No coffee downstairs. At 7:45 in the morning. Come on. There were also a handful of maintenance issues. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel pumps in my room were all broken. The staff quickly took care of it when I called, which I appreciated. The main front door was also broken during my stay and was just a pain to deal with. Now for the good part: the staff was genuinely friendly. The bar activities were easily the highlight of the stay, trivia night was a blast, and Aja behind the bar was amazing. She was welcoming, fun, and exactly the kind of person you want behind the bar at a Moxy. Overall, great people and a good location, but the hotel itself needs some love. Aja and the bar experience saved this from being a much more disappointing stay.

Despite cancelling within that timeframe, I was charged the full amount due to a "special event" policy--something that was not made sufficiently clear at the time of booking. I immediately contacted Marriott International customer service. While the representative was helpful and opened a case, I was told the hotel would follow up within five business days regarding a refund. That follow-up never happened. After two weeks with no communication, I contacted Marriott again and was informed that the hotel refused to issue a refund and would reach out directly. Once again, no one from the hotel ever contacted me. To make matters worse, the hotel was fully booked the night of my reservation, meaning the room was re-rented while I was still charged in full. Keeping my payment under these circumstances is not just disappointing--it reflects extremely poor business practices. The complete lack of communication, accountability, and willingness to resolve a reasonable concern is unacceptable. I will not stay here in the future and will be discouraging others from doing so as well.

I've been hung up on when trying to get a response for gas, leaks, and constant maintenance problems. They've towed my truck when I pay for parking here and when I told them it was my truck they did nothing about it. Absolutely worst level of customer service you could possibly think of. Companies like this just make people's lives worse and I cannot wait to sign with somebody else, literally I'd rather have anyone else than Northe Steppe. Do you self a favor, find somewhere else.

This actually at least two buildings as there's the hotel where you check in and park and all that jazz, then there's another hotel across the street, which you can get to via a skyway across one of the downtown Columbus streets. There's also a restaurant or two there as well. Rooms were nice in the "old" hotel (the one I was in) and I didn't have any problems and slept pretty well. The pillows were acceptable and my room actually had a desk which seems to be something I've been having trouble with lately. I'd stay here again if I was coming to the Convention Center. I'd come back just to eat at that FYR restaurant. Great experience all around there. I only wish there was a Piada close by...

I didn't know about it and thought there were only two working power outlets. (2) I could never connect to wifi in the room. I usually bring an USB-C to Ethernet dongle and Ethernet cable. (3) The Internet was very poor in the hotel. It was also very poor for the TV. Try watching sports and have a freeze every 30 seconds. It was better in the meeting rooms. Good stuff (1) The gym in the second building (402?) was OK. It was not just a converted hotel room (2) N High Street was fun to check out. Lots of good restaurants and bars.
