I love this hotel! I live in Columbus and had some family intown and they stayed here. Big Hilton fan and going to have to try the Graduate out for an overnight myself. Spent lots of time in the lobby. Very inviting and clean. Staff here are super friendly and welcoming. Really appreciate the front desk approach and delivery. As for rooms, my cousin loved hers and no complaints. Location is everything here, in the heart of the Short North, and close to downtown.

Comfortable well kept room with super friendly staff, and daily room service in 2024! I thought daily room service was gone, but this place still does it! Staff are super friendly and take care of things, even follows up. I had a broken fridge, and they had no other rooms nor fridges that day. They got me ice, lots of it in bags, then the next day they replaced the fridge while I was out, I didn't even expect they would do that. Their dish network kinda sucks when there are storms. Their instant inroom Coffee is the most putrid thing I have ever had at a hotel. Bed is comfortable, lots of plush pillows. Rooms aren't the biggest but get things done. Shower is nice, with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. It's weird, shampoo is peppermint, conditioner is cilantro, and body wash is rum. I am not sure why that combo, but it wasn't off putting. Just confusing lol. There is also bar soap for your hands, makeup remover, and nice lotion. fyi my ceiling was exposed concrete, kinda rando. I had plenty of drawers and closet space to put my stuff in. There's an in closet safe with set your own code. Don't get anything from their restaurant, it was super over priced and wasn't that good. Burrito was meh and OJ was just Natalies from a bottle at 6 bucks a glass. You do get free water, in a can in your room, or in plastic bottles if you ask at the desk. They also have liquid creamer in your room, but the front desk only has dry oat creamer. Do not drink the coffee, it is SO bad. They do provide sugar and alternatives in room.

From the moment my husband and I checked in, we enjoyed it ourselves. We had valet service for our car, which was very convenient. Seeing all the artifacts about our great city all in one place was so awesome. Our room keys were former OSU student ID cards. And the room was like staying in a museum. And you are just steps away from great restaurants, etc. I was in awe of everything I saw and loved every moment of it. Being born and raised here in Columbus, I felt very proud to be staying at The graduate as I helped my husband celebrate his birthday. If you consider yourself a true Buckeye or just love Columbus, I highly recommend staying at this hotel just for the sights alone.

I absolutely loved the ambiance of this place. The interior design was so unique, and I loved it! Everything was clean and very comfortable. And as for the location of this hotel, well it was in walking distance of so many things to do. Totally happy with my stay here as far as the hotel itself. What I'm not happy with at all was the extra $40 a day they make you pay to park in their parking lot and have a valet park your car. It's not like it's a big parking lot. It's so small it takes more time having them go and get your vehicle than you actually just walking a few seconds to your automobile and getting in it yourself. Nothing was mentioned about this mandatory parking fee to park at the hotel, or it was made clear in the booking process, so yeah, I'm highly upset about that. Sthough. o whatever price you pay for a room, add $40 on top of that a day for what you'll end up paying. Plus, you know them valets want a tip. It's unnecessary crap just to get more money out of your pocket. I very much liked the hotel though.

The Graduate has everything I want in a hotel--clean, attractive, comfortable, nice staff, centrally located in a walkable neighborhood. My room was charmingly decorated with a Buckeye spread and prints of famous OSU graduates, including New Yorker James Thurber, who was born in Columbus! The only drawback is its coffee, which is surely the worst I've ever tasted. The nice girl at the front desk was quick to suggest that I run across the High Street to One Line Coffee, which was excellent.

What a great hotel, in a great location. This was my first stay and I have to say, I will be looking-up the Graduate hotel locations anywhere I go. The room, the lobby, location....it's all great! Parking is $36 valet each day but you can go in and out. There is also a garage behind the building and it's $30 per day. If you're planning on visiting Columbus and this location is good for you, stay in this hotel. You can thank me after!

Boutique hotel with university themes. Great chain all over the nation, but this is Columbus' Ohio State University themed location. Located on the ever improving, ever changing Short North strip of High Street, this Graduate has planted itself amidst the hustle and bustle of a very hip part of Ohio's capital. A burned out husk during us Gen Xer's coming of age years, the Short North us now home to dine of central Ohio's trendiest restaurants, bars, and shops. The Graduate gives you a safe, tidy, and beautiful base of operations to explore. The Buckeye factor is high here, so hopefully you enjoy that. Even if you don't, it's still a great hotel. With limited parking and a busy frontage, the rear area passenger drop off/unloading area can be clutter, but that's just because others have discovered this gem. Get on the mailing list, and stay often. It's a great place to stay and an even better place to return to.

I had a really great, two-night stay at Graduate Columbus recently. The location is incredible, right on High Street and walkable to bars, restaurant, coffee shops, and stores. The only cons were that I could hear the guests on the floor above me jumping or working out or something early the morning and there weren't any cups in the bathroom for brushing your teeth. Overall, though, these things were definitely not enough to knock off a whole star. Back to the good stuff - the WiFi is free for guests and had a strong connection anywhere in my room, even for streaming services. I loved the decor. It's unique and funky, not at all like you'd find in a cookie-cutter hotel room. The little study nook was both adorable and very useful. The tea kettle to heat up water came in handy since I only drank tea and no coffee during my stay - I was surprised and delighted to find this in the room! I was also very happy to have a mini fridge. You might think this would be an obvious add, but not all hotels include this (I've discovered), so I was grateful to find one here. Every single employee that I came into contact with was helpful, kind, and friendly. As a millennial who basically has a phobia to phone calls, I was so relieved and grateful to have a texting option to communicate with the front desk. They were prompt to answer my questions and I could tell there was an actual person behind the message. I'd certainly recommend Graduate Columbus to friends, family, and fellow Yelpers. And I'd definitely stay here again, given the opportunity.

This is one of my go to chains. I know I'm going to get a thoughtfully designed space and a good bar. The Graduate's MO is to buy old buildings and then slightly rehab them. Meaning they still fell old. The rehab is dine with taste and inexpensive materials. Not to discuss The Graduate as a chain but... they are banking on you not looking too closely. The staff at The Graduate Columbus, along with the other Graduate Hotels I've stayed at, are extremely friendly, and do their best to please you, but have not been trained in four or five star hospitality. What they do have going for them is they are always in the best locations. This specific graduate hotel is a seven minute walk to the convention center and about a 10 minute walk to Ohio State University. It's a block away from Jennie's famous ice cream and a ton of really cool boutiques. Because the hotel is an old building it has a slightly musty scent and our shower smelt like mildew. The housekeeping doesn't do a great job. They left hair on the bathroom floor each time they cleaned, and we found almonds from a stay long before us under the desk. Another plus is the hotel enters into Shake Shack for late night milkshakes. And the The Trophy Room is downstairs for a cool bar and grab and go bites that are more than decent. They get an A for effort, and I will definitely stay with him again. I've heard they're starting a loyalty program.

I was told that my Honors Member rate would be booked for the full stay. At check in, the reservation I made was not even for the correct number of nights. I booked for Wednesday thru Sunday but they only had my block of rooms for Wednesday and Thursday. We were told to come down and check out and check back in the following day. When we came down in the morning to take care of this, that front desk person said we should not have had to check in and check out and move rooms even though this is what we were told upon arrival. We then find out that our rate has gone from $187 to approximately $500 a night for the remaining stay. Of course we are shocked. We went to speak to the manager and he was not willing to meet us in the middle to find a solution. He gave us a hard no and said you won't find another hotel in this area for the remaining days. We found another hotel, three rooms left and did not stay and found other accommodations. I think there were enough issues with our reservations and being told a different story depending upon who we spoke with that the hotel. It is unfortunate that they seemed to not care to loose guests and two rooms. I am truly floored by the switch and bait and also that management/staff really seemed to not be bothered. We might only be 6 guests total but they just lost customers who that will never book with this hotel chain again.

This trip brought us to the LeVeque. I opened the door to my room and literally stopped in my tracks. My first thought: Can the interior designer come do my house next? The decor is gorgeous. One of my favorite discoveries was that the gold framing around the mirrors and bed? Plastic. The crisscross "marble" lamp bases? Also plastic. Honestly, brilliant. They look exactly like the kind of ridiculously heavy gold frames and marble lamps that would double as murder weapons in a Dateline episode. The bathroom is huge, the towels are fluffy, and there's a separate privacy door for the toilet--an underrated luxury when traveling. My only room complaint: the shampoo has that generic "guy cologne" scent that never quite smells as good as its creators think it does. The hotel's artwork is classy, and the bar area is comfortable with plenty of couches for lounging. The drinks, however, are pricey. At those prices, the martinis should arrive with special effects--a bubble on top that explodes into smoke, minimum. A minor annoyance: the lobby ran out of Diet Coke for purchase. Unfortunately, Marriott doesn't seem to give employees a small emergency soda fund to run out and buy a case. As for parking, valet would have been nice, but instead you park in the garage around the corner. The attached walkway makes it easy enough, though. Overall: beautiful hotel, stunning rooms, great atmosphere.

I felt $39 for valet parking was very high, especially since the first night my car was not even parked in their lot. I actually felt that they should have refunded part of the valet fee since my car was parked a block and a half away in an unattended lot. I actually felt that for $39 per night that the cars should have been in a garage. The hotel was nice, though we were looking for something to eat late at night after 10:00 p.m. and didn't realize that the sports bar stop serving food after 10:00 p.m. and the restaurant upstairs was packed and very loud. We ended up ordering out doordash which was easier and quicker especially since it was pouring down rain outside. The desk wasn't always staffed while we were there, that included when we called on the phone at 7:00 p.m. to speak with someone and the phone just rang and rang and rang, it also included daytime when we were looking to speak with someone at the front desk and there was no one there. A desk in a downtown hotel should be staffed 24 hours a day. When we booked our room I didn't realize my mother would need a handicapped room. When we finally did get a hold of someone a little bit after 7:00 on that first evening we were able to move to a room that was supposedly handicapped but wasn't quite as I expected it would be. Yes there were rails everywhere in the bathroom but the toilet was low and what really blew my mind was there was a bathtub and anyone who's handicapped like let's say in a wheelchair is not going to be able to get into the bathtub or out very easily. There was a seat underneath the sink that could be set up in the tub but how would somebody if they were handicapped get into and out of it. The first room we had had a nice shower that you could practically walk in without having to climb over the edge of a bathtub. I would have felt that would have been much better of an option for someone handicapped. Drawer space in both rooms was non-existent. In the handicap room there was one drawer underneath the fridge. In the other room there were two drawers. We were there for the weekend, we operated out of the suitcase. They were all so only four hangers. It seemed to me a bit ridiculous that there wasn't enough storage space for someone who might want to unpack if they were there for a week or longer than a weekend. In fact, I've never been in a Marriott hotel that didn't have more storage than this one. It was a bit odd to me. The staff was friendly, helpful, the little store downstairs was nice to pick up some drinks or some snacks, I'm unsure where we would have heated up the frozen dinner or pizza that were in the freezer in that little store since we didn't have a microwave in our hotel room. It was nice that the hotel was close to comfest that was happening while we were visiting the area and that North market was just a block up. It was nice that you could walk to things and weren't always reliant on your car. Again I really wanted to like this hotel thoroughly, but there were just things that didn't make sense and were problematic to me. But since we were there for an event, we didn't have a choice of the hotel for that event.
