There is a structure with shaded tables and bathrooms that can be rented for parties through the fairfax park site. If you do have a party there, it is a short and stroller friendly walk to the area with the picnic tables from the parking lot. Besides parking right by the soccer field/picnic table area and there's more parking across the street too. That parking area is by the water with ducks, geese, turtles, cranes and other wildlife. This is a great small neighborhood park, not something you travel far to see, but really great to have nearby for a short stroll and play sports at.

This Recreation Center is really clean and well maintained. They have a nice sized outdoor pool as well as an indoor pool. The pool is large for adults, they have a kiddie pool and also a hot tub. There are also plenty of other ways to stay fit. They have a gym, a basketball court, racquetball court, tennis court and much more. It depends on if you're from Leesburg, or from another town on how much the daily fee is. Their locker rooms are super clean, featuring plenty of showers, bathrooms and lockers. The Ida Lee Park Recreation Center is really nice. There's so much they offer for your growing child to keep them active!

However, if you go further down past the fields in the middle, you'll see a path that leads you to the Beaverdam Resevoir, the large body of water in the Brambleton/Ashburn area. Gorgeous view when it's nice outside. It's a hassle to get through as you weave through the tall grass and fallen trees but the view itself is worth it. Several walked by saying hello with smiles. Again, coming from MoCo, I was like "Maybe moving to Northern Virginia is worth the cost". The bathrooms are a bit outdated, but not a deal breaker. It is still relatively clean like the rest of the facilities. The kitchen to the community room that my friends rented out had a lot of appliances (4 air fryers) and a large oven for reheating. We have attended and hosted parties at the pavillion. We took our toddlers, preschoolers and school aged kids to the playground, two of them learned how to swing at that park! We walk our dogs there. My daughter and I run on the trails there. We have had a neighborhood game of kickball there. We have attended town sports classes there. My sons and I have spent hours shooting hoops at the basketball court. I have taken some gorgeous photos of my family at that park. We have picnicked at this park. I have met friends and greeted neighbors at this park. It is, overall, awesome. There are "facilities" at this park, which are also greatly appreciated. While the indoor bathrooms are only available when the pavillion is rented, there is a port-a-potty which is kept clean and in good condition, a water fountain - for people and dogs - available spring-fall, and stations filled with "doggie bags" and trashcans throughout the park. I thank the town for taking such good care of this park. I and my neighbors appreciate it greatly.

This place is unmonitored and such a devastating loss of a safe resource for kids who are there for the right reasons. Frederick Douglass would be horribly disappointed in these youth. Arrogant, acting a fool, completely missing the point of the theme, and an awful and embarrassing representation of Loudoun County. They were belligerent, swearing, and acting a fool in front of young children. Way to go "parents." It makes me ill thinking of the lack of civic knowledge amongst these kids. Blatantly stomping on hard earned tax payer dollars with this once fabulous community resource. What an absolute shame. I will never go back and never take a class here either.
