First and foremost, we love our new puppy. He's adorable and sweet and everything we'd hoped for…read more However, BUYER BEWARE with this breeder. Problem #1. We noticed that the packet of information that was provided with our pup did not contain any AKC registration information. Upon reaching out to the breeder, she indicated that she would get it to us promptly. That did not happen, even after follow-up texts/emails. We contacted AKC who informed us that there was no documentation of registration for the entire litter. It was only after numerous follow-ups with the breeder that she finally registered the litter a week after he was delivered. This litter should have been registered with AKClong before any pups from the litter were delivered. Problem #2. When the breeder delivered our pup we noticed a foul odor. We figured that the she probably just didn't have the time to give our pup a bath beforehand. This was not the case. We contacted the breeder the next day indicating that the odor was coming from our pup's ears. She told us it might be a yeast infection, and recommended we use Witch Hazel to clean his ears. On our first visit to the veterinarian the next week, we found out that our pup had ear mites (contagious) and yeast infections in both ears. When the vet tech went to clean his ears, they were filthy. It is very obvious that this pup did not receive a vet check before he was delivered. Otherwise this condition would have been recognized and treated. Problem #3. We took our pup for his final vaccinations today (a month after getting him) and asked our vet to scan him to assure his chip was readable. To our surprise, there was no chip. They even scanned a second time with a different scanner to be sure. Documentation of a chip was present in the packet she gave us. We even registered our pup with the chip service. But the chip had not been implanted as it was supposed to be. Again, it is apparent that our pup did not receive the promised care before being delivered to us. Problem #4. It's a small thing, but goes to the integrity of the breeder. The pictures of our pup on her website indicated a black and white color combination When he was delivered, we noticed a lot of yellow in his coat. The breeder told us not to worry, he had played in hay and the yellow would come off. This was an absolute misrepresentation. Our dog's coat has some yellow fur, which is fine. Lying about it isn't fine. Again, we love our pup! He's now healthy (after proper treatment for ear mites and yeast infections) and is the proud owner of a working chip as of today! If you choose to use this breeder, please ask lots of questions, inspect the health of your pet upon delivery, and thoroughly review the documentation that is provided. We were too caught up in our pup's sweetness and failed to do so. We assumed the breeder had integrity and the best interest of our pup at heart. We were sadly mistaken and highly disappointed.

I was looking for a young miniature poodle. I was not having much success but came across Forever…read moreCountry Puppies (FCP). The pictures were so cute! I have had poodles in my life since I was a kid. They are fun and very intelligent. They make you laugh and love being loved. I saw Dee's picture and knew immediately she was the pup for me. She was 5 months old, which was a little young, but since I am retired, I knew I would have the time to be with her. So, I inquired about her and found she was available. Ashlynn of FCP was very helpful and answered my questions. I found out that Dee comes from a solid line of poodles that have good health and long lives. I was also told Dee loved to cuddle, though a bit shy at first. She is a bit shy of new people but the week I have had her she is not shy with me, loves to cuddle, is curious and rambunctious. She is learning so fast. During the week, her nose has kicked in and she has been all over our yard, sticking her nose in holes made by chipmunks, has checked out the leaf piles, learned that the lariope next to my patio can be run through and learned to play ball. She even brings it back...sometimes. She is a hoot. She is a great pup and I know she will be a phenomenal buddy for a long time. After I had agreed to acquire Dee, Ashlynn took her to her vet, had her wormed and given a rabies shot. When Dee was delivered, to my home(!) Ashlynn brought treats, toys, blankets and food to get me started with Dee. It was above and beyond what I had expected. Thanks for raising such a healthy, happy, wonderful companion! I will be sure to recommend Ashlynn and FCP to anyone who wants a wonderful, long lived companion.
