I'm a bay area real estate broker/agent. I've referred Carmen to a few of my clients. All of which would tell me she would never return their calls or they could never connect with her. Should have learned then but instead I decided I should give her a try myself for my estate planning documents especially since we had done some events together. Never did I think my estate planning documents would take over a year to complete. I signed our engagement letter 6/3/22, the first payment link was sent to me on 6/4/22 (quick turnaround). I had an in-person meeting with her on 7/28/22 after rescheduling on my end a few times due to personal reasons. Soon after I provided all of my documents to her and we scheduled a follow up meeting for 9/22/22. I didn't hear anything back from her until 11/14/22, with another payment link for another service she provided. At that moment I inquired about finalizing my trust documents, her office told me they were going to mail them to me the following week. One month goes by and I inquire again on 12/6/22. She claims she is onboarding new team members and has been understaffed. On 12/20/22 I ask her if she was able to find an attorney out of state to put my properties in the trust. She claimed she did and that she would have the deeds ready the following week. January came and went and zero communication from her or her office. I inquired again on 2/3/23 - following up on the mobile notary to sign & finalize trust documents. Another person in her office responds back and I finally get a mobile notary scheduled for 2/9/23. I assumed this was it and I was just waiting around for my executed county stamped documents to get mailed back to me. Well June comes around and I still haven't received anything back. I inquire again on 6/6/23. She says she is checking with her assistant. No communication again until I inquire again on 6/27/23. One property was finally taken care of and confirmed received by the county on 7/11/23. The other property was finally taken care of in late Sept 2023. My frustration is the lack of customer service/communication. I understand small businesses tend to get understaffed or are going through business changes but if my services are paid for and I have to constantly be contacting you for an update and most of the time you don't respond, then there is something wrong! This tells me this business doesn't value its clients. Posting this review now in case this will help others determine whether to use her services or not. I also know other small businesses that have used her & have had a similar or worst experience so that tells me I'm not the only one. read more

What a great estate attorney Carmen very patient dealing with my mother and our family dynamic. My mother is reaching 80 years old and it was time to get her Affairs in order. My parents long time estate attorney who she trusted indefinitely retired 10 years ago and it was going to be very hard to find someone to earn my mother's trust and confidence The criteria my family gave me the attorney needed to be close mothers home and needed to be able to communicate with her after considering a few local attorneys. We chose Carmen based on her website bio and reviews from past clients. So I contacted Carmen office and book an appointment Carmen sent via email an estate & Trust planning questionnaire to get more details about my mother's affairs in advance. Myself and my brother accompanied my mother to the first appointment my brother and myself don't always agree so we were slightly arguing with each other. it was a little overwhelming for my mother she basically said I want to leave and I'm not signing anything take me home. A few weeks later we had the 2nd estate planning meeting this time my brother sister and myself accompanied my mother. Carmen did thorough research on my parents estate and found an small issue that my parents past estate attorney missed when my father passed in the 1990s. Carmen Drew up the appropriate documents to correct that issue She also had the living Trust and Will documents all drawn up and ready to go over. My brother must of asked over 30 detailed questions Carmen answers each question to my family satisfaction and gained all of our confidence. we knew chose the right person. with all the legal talk My mother again. got Overwhelmed and ask to leave to go home and said she is not signing anything So Carmen said she would send us a draft copy of the Will and Trust via secure legal website which she did so I could go over the documents with my brothers and sisters and my mother. We all looked at the Will and Trust and agreed it was appropriately draw up and expresses my mother's wishes The next week we had a third appointment to finish up the Will and living Trust. Carmen and her assistant had all the Will and Trust documents in sections each document was explain to my mother in detail both English and Spanish which my mother was happy to sign each section. Each signature was notarized By the end of the meeting my mother was telling Carmen and her assistant what special people they are and my mother was hugging and kissed them. In our family situation we need to find the right estate attorney to work with our family dynamic honestly my brothers and sisters and myself came to the conclusion long time ago that my mother was never to do a living trust or will before she passes and we will have to deal with probate. Carmen and her team was able to work with my mother to get all her Affairs in order all documents we're prepared professionally and with care All filing with county of San Mateo and communication with my family we're done professionally in a timely manner We would definitely recommend Carmen Rosa as an estate attorney and will use her services again when needed read more

Carmen is great! As soon as I got pregnant with my first child, I knew one of the things I wanted to do was to create a will so that we could ensure we named a guardian for our child in case something happened to us. (Yes it's not fun to think about, but it's very important, to keep your kid from getting put in social services for a night or two, or worse, while the court figures out which family members to send them to! This can happen even if, like me, you have family very close by that is willing and able to take your kids.) Carmen does a whole package where she does the will & trust, advanced healthcare directive, power of attorney, etc. All the legal documents that you need! I had actually already done my healthcare directive but she caught an error on it. She's not cheap but it was definitely a fair price (on par with what other lawyers have quoted to friends of mine). Peace of mind for your family is priceless! Carmen was really easy to work with, and she even came to our house to have us sign the final documents since it was hard to go anywhere with a new baby. After an initial contact, Carmen's office returned my call promptly, asked a few questions to gauge our needs, and then set up an appointment the following week and sent us a form to detail our family and financial status. Carmen and her Associate were willing to come to our house after business hours. Carmen was straightforward, knowledgeable and friendly; she carefully listened to what we wanted, and told us how she would go about the process. She was happy to explain all the jargon, and all of our questions. After the first meeting, she arranged a second meeting, also out of business hours at our home, where we went through each completed document, signed them and she notarized them.
