I came with medium hair asked for a line bob Perimeter was ok but then the texturizing was botched and uneven and then I came back to fix and it was not any better. I hate to leave a review but I came home still upset and for it was not being anything I wanted after growing it out to get the haircut. if I could have chose ZERO stars I would have. Booked appt online for a certain stylist. showed up on time for the appt but was told "B" doesn't work on Sundays and that the woman behind the counter telling me this says she can cut my hair. 15min later after a horrible haircut she said you are done and it's $60!!!! This was my first time at Maryam's Salon and I am happy that I went. I have a lot of hair and always stress about new stylists (to me). But I needed a cut and color badly and my usual person was not returning anytime soon. I didn't want to wait anymore so I found Maryam on Facebook and reached out to see if she could get me in soon. She was very responsive to messages and managed to get me in same day! With this being my first experience in a salon post Covid quarantine, I was happy to see that I was the only customer at the time. The door was propped open for air flow and as to not have to touch the handle and everything seemed sanitized well and clean. I felt comfortable throughout my appointment and really do love my hair. Based on the reviews I decided to get an appointment with Maryam. Upon arriving I showed Maryam the photo of the color I wanted to achieve. Well, not only she charged me $200 for roots and highlights and waxing after I had an email saying that the job would be $90 plus $20 for the threading, but the color is NOTHING like what I asked. I asked them to tone the highlights, not sure what the did. The highlights still look yellow. I was shocked at the high price for the job but didn't want to make a scene in the salón. I email her from the parking lot and she kept telling me she wants to fix it, i explained before I left the salón I was not happy, I am not letting her touch my hair again. I believe that their salon may be perfect for very basic processes such as simple haircuts, men's haircuts, etc but nothing more complex than that. I emailed her from the parking lot requesting for them for refund my money since I now have to go elsewhere to get this fixed. They have refused to refund it. I don't mind paying money for a job well done but this is totally unacceptable. I gave them several opportunities to make it right and they didn't. I hate to write bad reviews but customers must be aware. Avoid this place! read more

Good work, terrible attitude. I went in for a root touch up and toner. When I had first walked in, we were asking about her pricing in general. Maryam had said 175 plus 50 for root touch up, toner and a trim. So, 50 for the cut she had said. Then when my mother had left, she said 75 for the cut; not 50 like she had said before. Then, when it came time to pay she charged us 55 for the haircut itself. Irregularity in terms of pricing which is quite manipulative. Towards the end when she was blow drying, I said I did not want a "cut" and she got very irritated I could tell. She told me that she had already charged for that and that it was apart of the styling process. Yet, when it came to pay she charged 55 extra for the "cut". At the end of it all, I said that I was a little worried about my dark roots not being a similar shade to my blonde color/highlights. She immediately snapped at me in the salon and she became very defensive. She said things like "go to a salon where you know them" and "it's not my fault you have long hair" and a couple other things. It was very odd, erratic and unprofessional behavior. Who are you to talk that way with a client? I felt very embarrassed since she started yelling at me and getting very defensive about what a great job she did. I never said that she did a poor job, I was just asking her if my roots would blend properly and then she started raising her voice at me in the salon. She also said "I can tone it and make it more yellow like you had it before, but I don't want to do it again! I'm not doing it again". I never asked her to tone it again, but she wanted to assume and jump to conclusions and start acting highly unprofessional. I was fine with the color, it was just different for me. Side note: usually whenever I go to any salon and I ask the stylist to "fix" something for me kindly, they tell me they will fix it if I do not like it. And for the stylists that are stingier and want to make more money, they say that they can book another appointment to fix the color. However, I was not expecting anything. My only expectation is that I won't get freaking bullied or yelled at. And what gives you the right to just say whatever comes to your mouth to a customer? Very very disrespectful and uncalled for. Also, I was smooth, patient and kind when conversing with her, but her ego is sky high. I get this much work done on my hair for half the price with hair stylists that would never act this way. How I feel is that Maryam is the type of hair stylist that will start screaming at you in the salon if you ask her a question about how to style your hair or if it will come together properly. With this stylist you have to praise her and put her up on a pedestal (which is what I did even after she was very rude and disrespectful to me). It turned out that since I went far lighter (like to a level 9) I was not used to my hair being this light. An excellent stylist (which she keeps boasting that she is) would talk to their client and tell them it will take some time getting used to the color. They would not scream and be defensive; reiterating how amazing they are and how they do the best jobs always. Very lame. Pros: She did good hair color and nice when she wanted to be, took her time, great staff, clean establishment Cons: She was very rude, defensive, manipulative, way too egoistic, (I felt bullied honestly), DOMINEERING, kept switching up prices on us, took the fun out of going to the salon I would not come back here and it's a shame because if her attitude was right, I would definitely be back and I would leave her a sparkling review. Worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I will not give her my business or my time. I'm not paying twice the amount to get yelled at nor do I want to be disrespected or manipulated in terms of pricing (fair enough). Sorry! Honest review since you kept pushing me to "leave a review". Please fix your attitude and do not let your ego get the best of your skill. You have a good hand. Keep a good head. Watch your mouth. Peace and love read more

Recently had surgery and went in to get my hair shampooed as I was not able to reach over my head for a few days post-op. I brought my own shampoo/conditioner because I am brand loyal due to the texture of my hair. The person that shampooed my hair ended up spraying me down with water. The blow dry post shampoo was not even close to complete. Waste of $40. Will not be back. read more
