came here with a friend over a mont ago ... there are only 2 older men here .. the only artist here in a empty shop is leo a older man who just sits on his phone looking at instagram or at his own reflectjon the whole time .. my friend was getting tattooed by leo and this man does NOT change his gloves when he touches things , i was planning on getting tattooed after her but after seeing her tattoo and how dirty his area was she and i agree to just leave ... leo was very rude , look them up on google reviews and look at there instagram .. very bad quality tattoos and 2 old dudes with a shop that won't last here much longer .. my review was deleted for some reason. so here it is again . I'm an old customer of legacy which used to revolution ink. I have multiple tattoos frm leo, the owners son. leo is only there because of the nepotism of being the son of the owner. both are laughable "men " in their 40-60s. after learning about the son stalking the other artists and violently threatening them because his work is subpar, i no longer support legacy . guy claims to have 10 plus yrs experience but cant draw a straight line to save his life . my first tattoo from leo was ok . not sure if the guy started taking substances or something but his work gradually just went downhill. Love this shop and welcome to the neighborhood of Alameda, we made an appointment on instagram @legacytattoosj i was helped right away and scheduled asap, we were seen the day of the shop was very clean and very friendly and outgoing staff, very helpful, they designed something custom for me on the spot and I'm very happy and pleased with the result, if im feeling spontaneous im going to try a walk in next time I've been wanting some custom script letting, im looking forward to my next session, and possibly getting some American tridiona work by Leo. my tattoo from the tattoo artist healed perfect, thanks again to the owner for all his help and guidance ill be returning for more soon read more

Big shout out to Legacy Tattoo shop. Very professional and accommodating. I had Dagger as my artist and let me tell you, he is a very stand up guy and works quickly. He was able to work with my budget and although i did not get to finish up what i wanted in one day he was very understanding and allowed me to come back and finish up what was left to do(although he does not recommend doing 2 sessions and would have rather knocked it all out in one seating) again he was very accommodating which made me feel very comfortable. Walk ins were welcome and decided to walk In Friday February 15th I had my design all ready to go and requested if Leo can do and and he was available to took me in same day as a walk in . I got two pieces a couple weeks back, first one was a random walk in and the next was also a walk in but I had taken a buddy to get his very first piece with me. Both times were extremely easy and great experiences overall, I am very happy with the ink placement and pricing. The vibe was beautiful and chill, plus the surrounding area is also nice with a lot of cool places to chill and eat if you need to wait for a walk in opening. Overall, I will definitely be coming back here for a 3rd piece from Leo, really such an awesome dude! read more

This is by far the best shop I've ever been tatted at. They do very fast, quality work and for a very good price. I've even been here to get old tattoos fixed that were done by friends and they have come out looking sooooo clean afterwards. I have also have gotten original pieces done here and I can say it has been the best work I've had.
