Two months ago I went to the Legarreta office for the yearly exam, after a visit Doctor prescribed me for a new glasses. I got progressive lenses, it's years I'm using this kind of lenses. after getting my new glasses, I was not comfortable with it, I went back to the office a few times and asked for fix it. they make physical correction and told lenses are okay. but after about 3 months still I still have problem with my glasses. specially at night. but this office don't care about me. read more

Male receptionist is rude, like we were bothering him by trying to check in for our appts STRIKE 2 and STRIKE 3 had to top it off, I called to see if my glasses were ready. The staff with the exception of Jennifer are a bunch of Karen's they're condescending liars. I asked for my medical records was told that I couldn't have them when I ask for that in writing I was told "oh I can't put it in writing I don't have anything to write with" I pulled out my phone to record her she gave me my records. They use communal eyedrops meaning people with infections people without infections are using the exact same eyedrops that they use to check the pressure of your eyes. I asked if thats sanitary and why do they do this, she said that it would be too expensive not to so be ready to use the same eyedrops as someone who's had an eye infection. I was very impressed with the office, medical staff, and doctor as the care was prompt and professional. Before my appointment I had a couple of questions and when I called the office I was able to speak to a medical professional right away. The information provided was thorough and I could tell that they cared about my wellbeing. My appointment itself was handled just as well. I arrived a bit early and they took me right away. The nurse that performed my exam even kept the lights off since she knew I was experiencing extreme light sensitivity; I didn't even have to ask. When the doctor came in to take a look and review the findings, he explained everything in layman terms and made sure I was comfortable with the next steps. I couldn't have asked for better care. The doctor ended up referring me to a specialist and the office personnel even set up this appointment for me. How nice! I'm so happy I went to Legarreta for my vision concerns. If you like incredibly long wait times this is your place. Despite the friendly and professional staff the place seems to be designed to cue up a ton of patients and then the doctor will EVENTUALLY see you. When a person at checkout said he was frustrated that he had been there two hours I thought he was exaggerating. I underwent cataract surgery this morning for the first time. Every step from beginning end went so smoothly and everyone was professional and explained each step to me. I trust Dr. Legaretta with my life and am looking forward down the road to him removing the cataract on my other eye. I'll never see anyone but him. Optical staff has no idea what they're doing, made multiple errors when dealing with my insurance company but wouldn't admit the errors, was rude and avoiding my phone calls. 3 weeks after ordering and no glasses. My wife just told me the horror story that she just went through there. She had an appointment on which she was a little early for and she proceeded to wait over an hour to be seen by the check in person who was nice. Then waited another 30 minutes to actually be seen and the on top of that the Doctor proceeded to insult my wife an tell her that the medication she is on isn't needed and it's all in her head. They are lucky I wasn't there or heads would have rolled. Stay away from this place. She was going to set up an appointment for me but screw that I rather go elsewhere and pay more money that be forced to wait and then be insulted. read more

This place is USELESS!!!! Don't waste your time! Last year I had to come in 5 times because the continued to get my prescription wrong, not only do they make you come in for a normal appointment you then have to come in a week later for them to check the contacts, they were still wrong after they tried "adjusting" the script they gave me, then made me come in for a 3rd time to see the DR to have him check my eyes again then came back to have the lenses checked again. They FINALLY got them right but the entire process was a complete pain! Going back and forth 5 times is NOT what i want to 1. waste my time on 2. waste my gas on 3. do after work or on my day off! I then came back this year and so far have been there twice, with a 3rd appointment scheduled already after i was told that i didn't need an appointment to have them check the contacts and that i could just have them checked when i came to pick up my glasses. I then put my brand new glasses on that night can could see NOTHING! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Does this Dr NOT know how to do his job!? I just called now asking what needed to be done, she informed when when having my contact checked that i should have them check the glasses as well. She said if they didn't mess up X, Y or Z then I would then have to see the Dr AGAIN, that would make it at least 5 times to come back in if i needed another appointment along with picking up the new glasses if that needs to be done. I'm so sick and tired of this place, i should have known better NOT to come back after what happened last year. This is a total joke and how no one else has complained is BEYOND me! read more

The doctors at Legarreta eye center are talented, informative, and caring. There is a wide selection of lenses and they get them to you very quickly! When you enter the office you are greeted with the friendly receptionist and the wait time is not long at all. I am looking forward to returning! read more

I decided to check out their eyeglass frame collection. When I arrived the optician was waiting on two other people so I browsed around. Once she was able to get to me she was impatient and not extremely helpful. I told her what I was looking for and the options she gave me weren't even close. She complained about wanting to eat something to her co worker. While I continued to browse on my own without her help, the optician and her co worker started talking and my back was turned to them. The two customers before me had a lot of questions and the employees were talking in code to each other. The optician said "like we need another one of those people today." I have to believe it was in reference to me since I was taking my time looking through things. I felt uncomfortable and left. I'm not going to give my business to a place that won't even go out of their way to make their customers feel welcomed and comfortable, let alone help with their selection. They need to figure it out there because I was far from impressed. I won't be returning. read more

Would never recommend this place to anyway. I was there for two hours before I left! They wrote my prescription wrong. They would not fit me for my contacts the same day, making me come back another day for that which I have never had that anywhere else. Takes 14 days for glasses to come in which is extremely long! Poor communication on what my insurance covered and ladies at desk were less than helpful. They made my pay upfront for my contact fitting fee which I realized afterwards I should never have agreed to when I didn't actually have it done that day. I cancelled the order for my glasses and cancelled my contact fitting fee. They wouldn't refund me the $40 fitting fee but didn't argue because I would rather lose out on $40 than ever go back to that place again. Horrible experience. I have never been so blatantly lied to and ripped off and treated rudely!!!!! Myself and my children have been going here for a few years. I needed reading glasses and they were over 600.00. I asked about cheaper ones or ones from rite aid and was told they wouldn't work. at 4:45 pm I order the reading glasses from them. after work I went to rite aid and for a few dollars I found some that worked perfectly. I called at 9 am when Legarreta opened and they told me I had to pay over 100.00 restocking fee!!!! After they lied and told me I couldn't possibley get some at rite aid I could see out of. The lady at the front desk is also always a complete bitch when you go and sign in for any appointment. they also charge tons of extra money to get additional tests for dry eye and cateracts and don't explain the necessity or extra costs how they add up while you are in the chair!!!!!!!! The Dr. also doesn't do any of the tests he has someone under him do everything. I am writing reviews everywhere and contacting the BBB and attorney general!!!!! read more
