Wonderful locally owned clothing shop in Newport. We've been a few times and there is always something new and fun in addition to the clothing choices. The newest addition this visit was JellyCat. There were adorable jellycat valentines gifts too! The staff is always friendly and super helpful. The space is clean and fresh and you can always find great selections, even on the sales racks. Highly recommend popping in, especially if you like brands like Patagonia, John John Florence, and Vuori. Perfect spot to find gifts for loved ones too. read more

Great store in the Newport Peninsula that carries quality brands that I like... We were in the area to eat Hawaiian food across the way at Da Hawaiian Kitchen Too and just happened to find metered parking in front of Legend. The shop looked cool from the outside with sale racks out front and I said we'd have to check it out on our way back from lunch. I'm glad we did. Legend Coastal has A LOT of Patagonia. Their buyer knows how to pick 'em. It's like a mini-Patagonia store in there. I actually like the collection of Patagonia products they sell at Legend more than the actual Patagonia store in Pasadena. It's just well-curated and I liked all that I saw. From all the black hole bags to the better sweaters. I liked the choices in colors and styles at Legend better. I ended up buying some Stance socks for work. I wanted to get a Patagonia backpack but I will be back for that and their shop hat. Be back soon.. Very nice and friendly customer service from the lady that was working there that day. read more

This place is a gem! My husband and I stumbled across it while dining at Shorebird on the waterfront just a few steps away. We noticed this business' "Vuori" sign and it caught my eye as I love Vuori. We rummaged through some of their marked down items on racks outside (Vuori, Patagonia, Seea). We saw a few pieces we liked and decided to try them on. They have an additional amazing selection inside, all activewear/beach related. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Got to talking with them and apparently this store was originally on Catalina Island and then moved here 3 years ago. Love supporting the little guys and for sure will be back! read more

I haven't purchased anything from here yet but I called to ask some questions. The one that I needed to buy was not available on the Pantagonia website and this location had stock so that's how I called them. I spoke with Casey and wow he was extremely nice, professional and very helpful. He texted me all the information I need at the end. This store is dangerous. Literally all my favorite brands in one place. Patagonia, Vouri, Vuarnet , Stance, Pendleton and a couple others I have not seen before. Whoever does the buying for this place knows quality and style. Also great sale rack out front. Tons of parking down below and validation. Great new shop in the heart of the Peninsula. LC has the best selection of Patagonia and Pendleton that I've found in Orange County and the only retailer that stocks my new favorite yoga brand Vuori. They also sell books, blankets, towels, drink ware, etc... even Vuarnet sunglasses. Definitely worth checking out when you are in Newport Beach... huge bonus that they validate parking for the garage next door. read more

I usually go into a store like this and I like a few things, maybe 20% of the inventory. I liked 100% of the inventory at Legends. They have quality items, trusted and new brands, along with reasonable prices. Staff was kind and helpful. I'll come back every time I'm in town. read more

This is a very delayed review as I was last there a few months ago, but I had to return to Yelp to give this place a 5-Star rating. If you were to picture a high-end retail store that had every single one of your favorite quality outdoor brands, this is the place! My wife and I walked in just to "look around" and we walked out with three shopping bags of amazing clothes and a large Pendleton dog bed. I would warn that this place is dangerous for the impulsive shopper. Too many amazing things you never realized you just "had to have". The retail ladies were also very nice and extremely helpful. Looking foward to stopping by again the next time I am in Newport Beach. read more

The most incredible staff!! I'm so indecisive when it comes to shopping but Amber was so patient with me and helped me find exactly what I was looking for! While I was there I found this backpack I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with (he was with me at the store) and she helped me to put it on hold without him knowing- I was so thankful! read more

`Don't come her unless you want to be racially profiled. Me and my 2 other friends who are African American were just browsing and these two older women who work there asked us multiple times "what are you looking for?" My response was "nothing really were just cruising around." Finally one of the elder women came up to us for the 5th time and told us "all of our on sale hats and clothes are outside." I told her "ok were just going to look at the hats and clothes that you have in the store". After trying on some hats she came up to us again and said can we take off our hats because we would be stretching them out as she said. At this point she took the hats away from us and asked us to get out and she followed us all the way out the door. Don't come here at all; this was an absolutely ridiculous and insulting experience. read more
