I stumbled across a tik tok that led me to discover that Stoney Clover Lane is hosting a 3 day pop up for hannah montana. I instantly fell in love. The location is beautiful and super easy to find! I had no hidden corners, just a bright, open, and inviting storefront. The shop itself is so nicely decorated, everything feels thoughtfully put together and fun to explore. I came specifically for their Sunday pop-up featuring the Hannah Montana exhibit, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Such a cute and nostalgic experience! On top of that, the service was great (they took as many photos as you wanted for you) everyone was friendly and helpful without being overwhelming. One of my favorite parts is the customizable, limited merch--it makes the whole visit feel even more special and unique. Merch was high value and nice quality so you get what you are paying for. Five stars for Amaris! My visit was Sunday, February 22. I was in town accompanying my husband and while walking around before our brunch, I saw Stoney Clover. While I've seen their items on social media, I own none of their products. I made a mental note and decided that we could walk back after brunch. Stoney Clover offers bright, fun accessories and bags that you can customize with 3M patches. The can customize and sew the patches on for you in store; they have many options. Anyway, back to me. Amaris greeted me upon entry and told me to let me know if I had questions. I did end up having a question, so I circled back to her. She was so nice! She gave me guidance on what to choose, gave me some suggestions on colors, and then sewed every guy for me. She made sure that everything I chose was brand new from the back and made sure to have everything packaged up nicely. Amaris truly made this experience, and she deserves recognition! read more

A very cute store at the Lido Village. They have the cutest backpacks and other bags. Very colorful which makes you super happy. You will find many designs and shapes. If you are looking for a special gift for a girl this place is for you. Or if you love color why not it's for you too. Prices are on the higher side but it's a tourist destination after all. I placed an order on Monday, 17 June at approximately Noon, and my items were delivered via UPS at 1pm today, 18 June 2024 [I live in coastal North County San Diego]. The items in my order were packaged beautifully- and honestly, exceeded my expectations; as shipping is an afterthought for many companies as it's after the PoS, I wanted to note that in the review as the products were pristine-arrived wrapped in tissue in addition to a protective outer sleeve and included the iridescent bag I've seen on social media. Extremely Disappointed by Discriminatory Customer Service On Saturday, 6/21 at around 10:45 AM, my husband and I visited the Stoney Clover Lane store in Newport Beach. I came in planning to purchase a new tote for work and a pouch that could hold my laptop and daily essentials. I was specifically looking at the Henrietta Tote, a Large Pouch, and a Utility Large Pouch, along with custom patches and monograms--an easy $700+ purchase based on my selections. When we walked in, there was a woman and her daughter already being helped by one associate. Two other staff members were at the front of the store with nothing to do. We were not greeted or acknowledged at all. I browsed the store for at least 20 minutes, walking around looking at products, still waiting for someone to say hello or offer help. It never happened. During that time, my husband asked one of the associates about the Henrietta Tote and the colors it was available in. Her response was flat and dismissive: "We have it in all of those colors," while pointing toward a display. No further conversation, no offer of assistance. While we were browsing, at least three other customers came in--all white women--and every single one of them was immediately greeted and offered help as soon as they entered the store. The contrast in treatment was undeniable. My husband and I are Mexican American, with dark hair. Everyone else in the store, including those offered assistance, was white. Feeling unwelcome and deeply disappointed, I walked out without making a purchase. I've been a loyal Stoney Clover Lane customer for years--most of my travel bags are SCL, and I've always loved the fun prints and Disney collaborations. But after this experience, I can't see myself shopping here again. In today's world, inclusion, kindness, and respect should be non-negotiable. If that's not part of the culture at this store--or at Stoney Clover Lane as a whole--then it's clear my money is better spent elsewhere. Stoney Clover Lane, please do better. read more

I've ordered multiple items from this company, but this will be my last. The bags are nice, but there are other companies who provide similar products with a faster shipping process. Stoney Clover requires up to ten business days to process the item before it actually ships. Then, it was an additional seven days to receive the item. Paying an expediting fee doesn't speed up the processing stage. I'm just shocked that the company hasn't streamlined their shipping processing by now. Also, my order was a non custom order. This was my second Stoney store visit, and I found them to be much friendlier than the one in the West Village. My friend and I were on a girls weekend, and we wanted to do some shopping. We both are huge fans of SCL, so we know our products, and what we are looking for. We were treated well- nothing over the top, no special goodies. We had staff pull a few items in the back for us, and offer some suggestions for patches. We ended up having our patches sewn on while we continued to shop, and all of them were done in 20 minutes. I did not get any stickers with my purchase to add to my collection, but my new fanny looks great with the patch on. The only downfall to the entire Newport Shopping area is parking. Pastel heaven! You walk in and it's a rainbow of colors popping. Loved being able to see the product in person. The store is so cute and fun. You are greeted as soon as you walk in. It's great to really see up close and really get a good look at what you are buying. The pouches are great and good sized, as well as good quality. The zippers are sturdy and glide nicely. I don't have a huge collection of SCL products. 2 Fanny packs, small tote and large tote, mini pouch and small pouch. That's the extent of my scl. With all their collaboration I can see more purchases in my future. But to see the colors in person is a game changer. The websites don't do these bags, totes and pouches justice. I didn't even mention the assortment of patches to decorate your totes and pouches! So many to choose from it's really hard to make a decision here. The vibes here are wonderful. read more

This is the most pretentious store. I spent $100plus on their website for the patches and bought the same nylon Stoney bags at Target. Same exact bags! However, if you dare to ask to pay to have the patches sewn onto the bags they will rudely decline; stating that the nylon bags from target will ruin their sewing machine. So the same Nylon material bags that they sell at Target with the Stoney Clover label will break their sewing machine??! Unbelievable! This store is the epitome of arrogance when they selectively decline paying customers. They are racist, rude and awful. I took my 4 year old daughter who was so excited to get her pink backpack with patches and they turned me away in the most embarrassing way. All she was missing is blond hair and blue eyes evidently. Stoney Clover Lane (or SCL) is a brand that primarily makes pouches, bags, and accessories that are customizable via patches. Think nylon Prada bags w/ Louis Vuitton high quality zippers, in all the colors of the rainbow, but without the high price point. As a person who appreciates luxury, this is one brand that I cannot live without. Their pouches range in all sizes and shapes. Their core basic sizes: *Mini - square shaped pouch that you can throw into a small purse *Small - rectangular shaped pouch to fit your makeup *Large - my absolute favorite size, can throw EVERYTHING in here (I can fit workout shoes, workout outfit, basic toiletries, and still have room to spare! *Duffle bags, backpacks, totes, mini backpacks and mini totes... the list goes on! They have their 15 core basic colors, and they always have special limited releases of colors and prints, such as a terry, picnic gingham and stripes, woven materials, all the way to brand collaborations like Hello Kitty, Barbie, and Disney Princess just to name a few. The store is sectioned off into multiple areas: -main SCL product displays with different color and sized bags/pouches which are jumping points for ideas of how to customize bags -a "patch bar" that is cutely displayed on cake stands behind plexi glass and someone can assist you in customizing your bag (think "bakery style" orders where the goodies are all displayed -smaller non-SCL items such as beaded keychains, bracelets, masklaces, and other brands they love such as Alfred Tea, etc. -sewing corner you'll find a seamstress adding the patches onto bags and pouches If you're looking for a cute gift for a soon-to-be Mama, grab her a cute diaper tote bag, a bridal shower gift can be a cute customized pouch with MRS on it, a girlfriend's birthday you can get her a tote full of patches of destinations you plan on visiting, the possibilities are endless! The packaging is one of a kind and so beautifully bagged in an iridescent wrapping paper with a drawstring bag. Check their online store before you get overwhelmed with all the options in store. I came down from Sacramento California and went to Dana point super excited to go to the stony clover Lane store. I was extremely excited and was the highlight of my trip. This store is super cute the atmosphere is very beautiful really shabby chic. I was overwhelmed with all of the different products to purchase and the numerous patches to put on your products. Stuff was very cute and of course the cost was pretty pricey so I wanted to be careful and pick the right product. I want to echo the other reviews that were written on here. The customer service was horrible. They had associates that followed you as if you were going to steal some thing and didn't give you a chance to pause and think about the products that you were going to be buying. I felt like I was a thief. When it was time to purchase my product, I was scolded at because I was going to be paying cash. They made a big deal saying that the store didn't except cash. And I was shocked because I was not aware of that rule. I had to find an alternative way to purchase my product using my credit card. And it made it more embarrassing at the clerks weren't very friendly they were pretty snobby. Although the story is very cute. I will never step in to foot there again. read more

Stoney Clover as a brand is nice with durable, quality items you can rely on. However, the staff at this location ruined it for me. I had some patches I ordered online that I was waiting to have sewn on while on vacation. I walked into the empty store and there were four girls at the register. None of them greeted me. And even when I went up to them, the girl who talked to me responded coldly and was overall very rude. Didn't ask how she could help, or what I was looking for. The way she treated me just didn't seem to match what I have seen online and on their social media. Overall I was let down by my experience and really disappointed with the visit. read more

Our first visit to this absolutely stunning store was definitely not the warm welcome we were hoping for. That all changed the moment Bailey took care of us on our second visit. Night and day with service. Her genuine kindness and the time she took helping my wife arrange her patches was top tier. My wife had an idea in her head but with Baileys expertise, she guided my wife towards a better and unique presentation of the patches on her item. HORRIBLE customer service. I went in to customize a backpack I had purchased online. I picked out one patch because I was indecisive and wanted to come back for the rest. When I proceeded to pay the associate rudely asked, " only this little guy " as if I was unable to afford more. I said to her, I'm customizing items I purchased online and she apologized as she hadn't seen my daughter with the backpacks. I asked how long it would take to sow patch on and she responded , two hours ? She rolled her eyes at me and said "yes two hours"! So disappointing ... Went to SCL to get two Fanny packs patched up for my two girls and I was told it would be a 4 hour wait to the them patched!!! We live 50 mins away, so we decided to stay. However Bailey the sales girl was super nice and got the Fanny packs patched up within 40 mins!!! She was a life saver. She was supper nice and attentive. read more

Today I went into the store to get a few items I purchased online to get patches sewn on. While I was there I also purchased a travel pouch and a few more patches to get sewn on as well. Before I had them sewn on I showed the girl the placement of each patch I wanted on each item. The girl helping me was super sweet & she finished pretty quickly. While I was on my way home I was checking my items and noticed the girl had placed the patch on my fanny pack in the wrong area. It was supposed to be placed on the top and she placed it in the middle. I called them to inform them about their error because I did show the girl where I wanted it and confirmed placement and it was wrong. The girl who I spoke to was extremely rude, not helpful at all and blamed me for why it was in the wrong placement. All she said she could do for me was that I could come back and they would take it off and put it where I wanted it therefore leaving me with an item that is damaged now not even replacing it. I'm extremely disappointed in their lack of accountability for something they messed up on and further more not trying to fix it. I spend a lot of money on this company & enjoyed their products but after today you lost a customer. Do better. read more
