The Solar Solution team was helpful, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to deal with from start to finish. They explained the technology and the complex permit process, as well as the tax and grant processes. They handled all the paperwork for our DC grant. Between the DC grant and the Federal tax credit 70% of our installation was paid for. Now we're gaining credits instead of monster electric bills during A/C season. We also elected to become "partners" with Pepco and Solar handled all that paperwork too. We get a nice not-so-little check every quarter for the SRECs that our system produces. If you're interested in going Solar, I highly recommend Solar Solution. They make a daunting home improvement a lot easier.

However, the service warrantee expired and the servicer, Omnidian, would not service even though I offered to pay for it. After searching for a solar provider that would actually do repairs and not have ridiculous pricing (one provider wanted to charge a $500 "truck usage" fee, in addition to an hourly rate), I found Revolution Solar who offered a fair and reasonable hourly, I first spoke with Irvin in Sales who immediately connected me with Brian in Operations. Brian arranged for Jose to come out to do the repair. Jose was on time and courteous. Unfortunately, the microinverter manufacturer sent the wrong cable, so the microinverters could not be replaced that day. Jose ordered a replacement cables for me. When they arrived, Jose came back out, again on time, and replaced the microinverters in about an hour. I cannot recommend Revolution Solar enough. When I buy my next house, I will call Revolution Solar directly to arrange for solar panel installation.

My 8.4kW system was installed by six guys, each of whom were very professional and efficient during the 5-hr install process. These are not contractors, they are Green Street employees so they are part of the GSS team. The next day, DEC came out and inspected the install and, two days later, came out installed my new, NET meter, which determines how much electricity I'm using versus how much I'm generating. I texted the owner at Green Street to let him know I was ready to go. Russell got my system connected to the Fronius invertor app in minutes and I was generating electricity five minutes later. The next day was sunny and at 9AM in the middle of January (sun is low in the sky) the system was producing at 68% capacity. Pretty amazing! My meter was running backwards all day long, meaning, I was generating more electricity than I was using. The next two days were cloudy and I was only at around 10%. However, during the summer I should be producing plenty of credits to cover me for the winter months next year. I also had them install an outlet to charge an electric car which I'll be purchasing one day. I chose Green Street Solar because every review I read was a 5.0. There is one on Angie's list that is a 1. However, this guy's system was installed 10 years ago and I don't even think it's the right company since GSS did not exist at that time.
