The perfect small town bar! A very friendly place to stop by for a bite to eat and a drink as your passing by on Route 16. This is a community staple, and you can tell it is run with the passion only a locally owned small business can be. The menu has a nice selection of American grill style food, and the beverage selection encompasses most taste palettes with a variety of beers and canned other beverages. From the handful of times I've passed through and stopped in, the service has always been very friendly and the staff are eager to serve you. Highly recommend checking them out.

Best pizza in the greater Buffalo area. It's a shame they're selling. Hopefully the new owners are just as dedicated to the craft.

We selected Finnerty's Tap Room for an early Saturday evening dinner based on the promise that they…read moreGluten Free very seriously (I found this claim on their website). Finding any GF options when visiting small towns can be a challenge so I'm really thankful to have found Finnerty's! We ordered: - Jalapeño Poppers (for my gluten-consuming husband) - Stuffed Banana Peppers (Gluten Free) - Chicken Wings ordered well done with hot sauce (Gluten Free) - Smash Burger on Gluten Free Sesame Bun & Chips - Hamburg Carrot Cake Brown Ale (for my Gluten-consuming husband) There were only 3 Jalapeño Popper left so our server didn't charge us for them. They were your run-of-the-mill frozen poppers; nothing special. The Stuffed Banana Peppers were a special for the day and they were pretty delicious. They were cheesy, stuffed with sausage and topped with a delicious tomato red sauce. The Chicken Wings were well done, as we requested but were average which was a surprise considering all of the claims to be award winning. The Gluten Free Sesame Bun was one of the best GF buns I've had but the burger patties were average. The meat didn't seem like it was seasoned but the cheese and grilled onions helped add some flavor. Not worth $15.95, in my opinion especially because you have to pay $1.50 each for any additional toppings and it only comes with generic potato chips. The Hamburg Carrot Cake Brown Ale was listed on the draft beer list but was served in a can. Our server was attentive and had a kind/sweet personality. Here's a few highlights about the space: - Pool Table - Golden Tee Golf Video Game - Hockey Foosball Table Game - Old Arcade Video Game - 8+ TVs; I believe they're usually tuned into sports. - Music was really loud; it was somewhat difficult to hear our server. Overall, I would come here again when visiting Ellicottville and try other menu items - like the Gluten Free Pizza and whatever their daily special happens to be.

We took a seat in the back with a view of the mountains and started to watch the skiers. The dining area was large and clean, and the waitress came and got our food and drink orders moving quickly. Our little yelper opted for none other than the children's tenders. She ate almost all of them and the fries, they got a thumbs up review. The waitress was even nice enough to hook our kid up with a nice helping of pickles too. The misses opted for the pulled pork melt, even with the mafia sauce she told me it was rather bland in the flavor department but the onion rings were sizable and crispy. I opted for the chicken Caesar salad, but there was some miscommunications in the kitchen and I wound up with steak (not a bad thing) but our waitress asked if it was ok. Steak was cooked perfectly and the salad itself was piled high. Overall, not a bad dining experience, it should be a 3 , but the awesome service took it up a notch. She really helped make the meal more enjoyable.

Wings (12 in an order with celery) came with 10, no celery, no sauce, and overcooked. Do not recommend. We are leaving and are still hungry. Waste of 50 dollars. Dining area very cold. We had our coats on while eating.

My visit to Steelbound was a letdown before we were even greeted by our server…read more We sat down and waited about three minutes without anyone acknowledging us. While we were waiting, we watched another table get up and leave. As they walked out, one of the bartenders yelled across the restaurant, sarcastically saying, "Wow, okay, bye. Thanks for coming in." I looked at my wife and said, "They must have been waiting a while." A minute or two later, our bartender, Jenn, finally came over to greet us. Since our table didn't have menus, we grabbed the ones left behind by the table that had just walked out so we could at least look things over. We ordered an appetizer and the cocktail flight. Jenn mentioned the drinks would take a little while because it was four mini cocktails. That wasn't an issue at all--we told her there was no rush. Ironically, the drinks came out quickly. Unfortunately, they were disappointing. I understand that well-made cocktails shouldn't taste overly alcoholic, but these tasted watered down, like mostly mixer with very little spirit. They lacked any real flavor or balance. Once the drinks arrived, we ordered a few more appetizers. Shortly after, all of the food came out at once. Jenn warned us to be careful because the plates were extremely hot. Having worked in the restaurant industry, that's usually a red flag--it often means the food has been sitting under a heat lamp. Sure enough, while the plates were scorching hot, the food itself was only warm. While Jenn was at the table, I asked for a spirits flight. She told me it would be a while before she could get to it, and I told her that was completely fine. Unfortunately, she never came back to check on us. There was no opportunity to mention the disappointing drinks or that the food wasn't hot. By the time she finally returned, we had already eaten about 75% of our meal, and she came back empty-handed. She then asked if I still wanted the spirits flight. At that point, between the disappointing cocktails, lukewarm food, and inattentive service, I was simply ready to leave. I declined and asked for the check. Overall, this visit missed the mark in nearly every way. Poor first impressions, weak drinks, food that felt like it had been sitting, and service that was largely absent made for a very disappointing experience. I can't recommend Steelbound based on this visit. I'd honestly recommend grabbing a bite at the gas station across the street before coming here.
