I gotta give a shout-out to Erik at Legends for always providing a consistently good cut and style. Their conveniently located on Patrick, a block from Pecos, with parking right in front. They accept walk-in's, but prefer (and I suggest) calling ahead for an appt, cos they can get pretty busy depending on the time of day. Although I live in Hawaii, my step son in law recommended Erik at Legends to me over two years ago, and since I'm here a few times a year, I usually give Erik a call to get a cut when I'm in town. I'm Asian, with pretty coarse hair (although with age, it's been getting pretty thin), and Erik consistently can give me a great looking cut that works with my needs and look. I get my hair cut back home about every 5-6 weeks, but still prefer Erik's "eye" over anyone back home. Found this slightly hidden barbershop on Maps-they had good reviews & our regular person couldn't get us in so I called to see if they could get my son & dad in last minute for a cut before a big event. The guy on the phone said to come in & they'd take care of us. There wasn't a long wait once we got there. My dad who's typically very particular about his hair, thought David did a great job & gave him a nice fade. Miguel offered to cut my son's hair, when the original guy who he was scheduled with didn't bother to come out of the back until about 20 min. later. He was very meticulous and took his time. I found my new home. I was a WALK-IN I believed I was going to another shop and I found this place by accident. NEVERTHELESS, they took me in and I got cut by a gentleman named Luis who was surgical. From start to finish he made sure that I was comfortable and getting the fade a desired and let me tell you I got some niiiiice burns. I'm also going to include that the towel treatment is worth every penny. My son's grandma usually would take him to a supercuts or a kid's place, which is okay but I would usually dislike his hair for a week or so until it began to grow out. I decided that I wanted to take him to a barbershop and pray that he wouldn't get overwhelmed and freak out. I decided on Legends because my cousin drives from all the way across town ti get her son's hair cut so I could probably manage to drive a mile or 2 for my son. We got Romeo, which was great because that's a name of a character from thr PJ Masks, and he was so incredibly patient with not only my son, but with me. He would talk to my son and distract him from getting overwhelmed with having to sit still out have the paper thing around his neck. And I'm super satisfied with how his hair turned out! read more

Let me start off by saying before I came to Legends today, I tried going to Shears and Beards because it was a little bit closer to me. When I walked in there was only 1 guy working which I understand with COVID but it was his attitude that made me not want to wait it out. He told me there was one person ahead of me but there might be two other people ahead of me too. Might be? How does that work? Anyways his attitude sucked and in the 10 minutes I waited, he was on his phone the whole time texting. THE IMPORTANT STUFF HERE: I called up Legends and asked if they had anyone available within the next hour (I know that was a lot to ask) and they set me up with a guy named Freddy. The welcome into Legends was a MILLION times better than the other place, Legends has a nicer look and atmosphere too. Freddy was a cool a$$ dude who made me feel comfortable and was super friendly with good convo. He did a GREAT job with my cut and I'm so glad he took care of me instead of the jerk at the other place. A+ to Legends and A++++++ to Freddy! read more

This place is the best you're going to get. All of the barbers are top notch and know how to work the clippers. Always smooth, clean, crisp cuts. I've been coming here with my son since it opened. To comment on some of the negatives that were mentioned before. They take appointments and walk-ins. Appointments are $25 and walk-ins $18. They increased the the appt cost to combat the no shows. I only ever do walk-in because it works for me. If you go during a busy day/time you may end up waiting.....easy solution...don't go on a busy day/time. Don't go on a Friday at 5pm. Simple. Even though I do walk in I usually only ever wait 15 min max. If it appears they only take the people who they know it's because they have appointments. You can make an appointment and show up and get seated too. ALL these guys have talent, are easy going, and will take care of you. I don't have a specific barber I use because they're all very good. Never had a bad haircut yet. I won't go anywhere else. read more

Since my "real" barber of 20 years past away about 1 1/2 years ago, I have been trying all sorts if chain salons and such with nit much success or happiness. Worst haircut of my life. David was the only one available for a same day appointment. I brought a picture of what I wanted so there would be no confusion. I even emphasized that I wanted a "low taper fade". I looked around and saw the other barbers giving great cuts so I sat in my chair and trusted David. I tried to start a conversation and ask how long has he been cutting hair and he says three years. I highly doubt that now. After the cut he styles it and hands me a mirror and I can clearly see he has buzzed the side of my head all the way up. Nothing I can do but say "dope." This place was great. Sophie I believe was her name hooked me up with a beard line up and trim. I've gotten it done once before from somewhere else but the line that the previous barber made started scabbing after a day which kind of sucked. I waited to write this review just to see if it would happen again and nothing.. everything is still perfect. As soon as you walk in you see barbers doing barber things.. it's got a real nice feel to the place. Music playing in the background, barbers and customers in conversation, floors constantly being swept every few mins. Set this bar high guys. Layout of the place is pretty nice.. theres a pool table for those that are waiting which is a nice touch. Number of products on display for sell right in the front. Picked up some beard balm and so far really liking how clean and controlled it makes my beard feel. A friend of mine reccomended Ruben (Romeo), at Legends. I contacted Romeo and he got me in right away. The shop definitely has a cool vibe with sports memorabilia throughout. Shop was clean and welcoming. Romeo got me seated right away, made sure he knew exactly what I wanted and started the cut. He threw out a couple suggestions which I really appreciated and my fade turned out outstanding. I also liked that he took his time, cant stand when barbers try and rush a cut.
