(Obvs not the studios fault but maybe there can be just gym etiquette rules?) Since we don't have headphones like at a regular gym. I'm talking like moaning noises it nearly made me fall off the treadmill Lmao.

Little did I know, this would turn into a full-blown passion for boxing! Thanks to Ricky's coaching, I've since hung a bag in my garage and even added a mirror for shadowboxing. Let me tell you--there's fit, and then there's boxing fit. Boxing is one of the most challenging workouts I've ever experienced, and Ricky pushes you to your absolute limits. His expertise is undeniable; he knows exactly how to motivate you while enforcing discipline and proper technique. Every session leaves me exhausted but hungry for more. What sets Ricky apart is his ability to tailor training to your potential while giving you plenty to work on outside of sessions. Even on days I'm not training with him, I have drills and exercises to keep improving. They are mindful to people's past and triggers and they explain everything very well. They are very knowledgeable of the craft. I was pregnant during this and they were very accommodating and modified things, obviously if you're being attacked the bad guys won't care but it was nice to learn some moves to protect yourself specially when you are pregnant. They have a studio inside of Franklin Athletic Club and they have different types of classes. They also have only women classes if the ladies rather not have a stranger male as a partner. We had previously gone to a place in…read moreFrankin, but driving from Spring Hill got to be too much, so we were excited when Leadership opened. We had been doing Taekwondo, but my husband really wanted to try Jiu-jitsu, and we were so happy to learn that Leadership does both. There is also some Japanese Akido as well. Our favorite part about Leadership is the emphasis on self-defense rather than on sport. Opportunities to attend tournaments are available, but it is always stressed that we are learning to protect ourselves by having a tool box of knowledge. Master Castle loves what he does and interacting with people of all ages. There are also morning classes that make it easy for those who work late or homeschool. Highly recommend it!
