Tried this place out tonight by chance after the wait at tribes was 45 mins. Was pretty busy, talked to the owner and he said it would be 10-15 mins for a table so we got a drink at the bar and waited. No complaints, food was great, pretty decent selection of beer, owner was actually running around working which was nice to see. He was a very cool guy and made sure everything was going well. Seriously don't know what the hell is going on with the servers at this place. The last 4 times I have been here they have been for shit. I asked for an Arnold Palmer and she told me, if that is what I really wanted, she would have to make it herself? Holy shit Batman, What the fuck was I thinking making you Do Your Job! So I said. I'll just have an iced tea! When I asked for a refill. (Because she wasn't going to bring it on her own) I was given water. The next time the waitress told me that she has three kids at home and a nice tip would be appreciated! A good server would have been appreciated also. But I didn't get that! What I did get was a 45 minute wait for a burger and a chicken sandwich as I watched everyone who came in after me eating their meal. I have a hard time giving this place a star rating, so I went for 3 of 5. The place is great, the service is great, the food is great, the beer selection is great but I've been there 4 times in the last 3 months, and twice my time was ruined by people bringing groups of children after their sports games. The first time was a Saturday early afternoon, so I let it slide, but tonight (Friday) I showed up at 8:30pm and about 15 little leaguers were there, screaming at the top of their lungs, running around bumping into me while I was sitting at my table. Legends has quickly become one of my favorite casual spots in the area. The space is open and has a great sports bar feel. There are plenty of TV's and they have a strong following of regulars, so the place is never empty when we go there. Game days/nights and nights when they have specials tend to be pretty crowded, so we time our arrival if that's the case. The staff is super friendly and the menu is standard American sports bar fare. The features that set Legends apart from all of the surrounding sports bars in the area are; the food is genuinely delicious and the beer/drink list is solid. For apps, the wings and shrimp are super tasty. You get a fair amount of meat on both and the sauce options (dry/wet, spicy/sweet/garlic to name a few) are extensive. The burgers and wraps are great (the breakfast burger is a favorite) and the chicken tortilla soup is outstanding! Definitely give it a try if you are there on a night it is being served...super tasty. I also really like their side salad as it is a great portion and they throw in some extra veggie toppings (including a sprinkle of tortilla strips). If you are looking to save a few bucks you can go on a day when they are having a special. We like to catch the shrimp/wing 65 cent special on Sundays and $5 burgers (includes fries) on Thursday. These are some outstanding deals! Legends is a really great spot to either catch a game or grab a quick meal, it has become a mainstay on our list of go to spots in the area! read more

The food was good, and they had a large beer list. Legends has decent food and the prices are reasonable. They offer great deals, like $5 burgers on Thursdays. I highly recommend the shrimp appetizer and all of the burgers. I don't recommend the steak salad- I've ordered it twice and the steak was really chewy both times. The service can be a hit-or-miss, as I've had poor service on busy nights. read more

Lived in mokena for 17 yrs. Been to Legends 20+ times always giving benefit of the doubt due to convenience of location to our home. Always expect crappy service. Always receive crappy service. Forgets drinks, silverware, wrong order.... you name it EVERY SINGLE. TIME. It happens At one point 3 yrs ago, waitress completely forgot to put my order in while I was dining with my 4 yr old. It was a Wednesday! After 1.5 HOURS my 4 yr old begged waitress, who assured us food was coming, for atleast some fries. The female manager came out 10 min later, told us waitress never put order in. At that time I had a new baby at home and had to leave asap to nurse. Manager was kind enough to deliver my order to my home across the street an hr later. 3 yrs later..... same boat! On a Monday, completely forgot order. Male manager comes by to apologize BUT tells us there are many orders ahead of us as its a busy night now. What?!?! It wasnt busy when we walked in and placed our order?!?! Then as we sat drinking our beers was offered a "pop" if we'd like on the house. Seriously? How is this place still open? Old or young, experienced or not. Service is CRAP. read more

Ordered the wings and shrimp. Wings were actually pretty good. I asked for them well done. Shrimp was OK. The most upsetting is that I had to ask for extra hot sauce because the wings did not have enough sauce, but when I received the bill I was charged $.50 for each extra sauce. My wife and I love this place. It can be loud and crowded but it's a great place. The staff is exceedingly friendly and the food is always tasty. Prices are pretty good. We love the dry rub wings and shrimp which are the house special on Wednesday and Sunday. Thursday night is burger night. They are really good as well. Omg! Stay away from the menu! If they don't have a drink special, why bother coming here. Great selection of beers. Burgers are amazing. Sandwiches and wraps are good. What hurts them is their service. Not enough servers. Don't sit outside, your server will most likely forget about you (out of sight, out of mind). We keep going back because the food and drinks are good. If you are in a hurry, you might want to go somewhere else because you can never predict if the service is going to be good. Service It is hit or miss. Terrible Customer Service. I placed a carry out order with the bartender, and picked the order up 15 minutes later as instructed. When I arrived at the restaurant, I waited over 15 minutes to get my previously placed order. After standing for 15 minutes, I asked the bartender (Ashley) about my order and she stated "I can't go check now." Even though she knew that I had been standing at the bar for a prolonged period of time, and I had already paid for my meal. I went to lunch at Legends in Mokena with a business partner on Wednesday afternoon. By Wednesday night I was so sick I thought I would have to go to the emergency room. I had food poisoning so bad that I could not get out of bed for nearly 2 days. It is now Saturday and I am still recuperating from the experience and too weak to fully function. Four other tables were seated after us , of which three of them were taken care of before we could even get asked what we wanted to drink. I made the statement that if the waiter went to the fourth table before us , we were leaving.Yes we left and were never approached by the waiter. My husband and I visited Legends last week for the first time. We ordered the wings & shrimp special as an appetizer (taaaasty!). For our meals, we both ordered the cheese steak which was also really good, though we both agreed that the fries came out a little cold. The place had a really cool vibe with a ton of tv's that played all different sporting events (my husband appreciated that LOL). The restaurant was a pretty busy, but the service was still great! Our waitress, Caroline, was attentive and made sure that we always had everything we needed for our meals. We never felt that we had to wait around or search for her which was appreciated and very different than other restaurants we've been to in the area! Food was great, atmosphere fantastic. However, the service and hospitality was an extreme disappointment. Had a party of 20, and got there 2 hours early to make accommodations because they would not take reservations. During our 2 hour wait they gave away tables that were supposed to be ours, just as people from our party were arriving. Our waitress Rachel was also not a joy to put up with. She checked on our table once in the first hour before taking our order, she missed drink orders and replied to someone in our party asking for a water like, "sweetie I brought a bunch of waters out here, and nobody claimed them". She never once brought out more than 2 drinks at a time for a party of 20 people. I am extremely disappointed, and am reluctant to return. read more
