The bed and breakfast is only about 10 minutes away from Bradley Airport and in the quaint town of Suffield. They have a grocery and some restaurants across the street, but little traffic in the neighborhood. It's such a great getaway spot. Breakfast in the morning was also SPECTACULAR. We were traveling with a newborn baby, so the mold was a big deal for us and felt like a safety concern. The hosts were kind enough to refund part of our trip. This house is highly rated on Yelp and other hotel websites, but I think the rating is for the personality and hospitality of the hosts, not the quality of the accommodations. It's great if you want to feel like a guest in someone's house, but not if you want to stay in a nice place. I recommend Airbnb if you want the "house feel," or you could just book a hotel (which is what we ended up doing).

We were here to visit our kid at UMass over Parents Weekend and had a very pleasant stay in the…read moreupstairs suite with two bedrooms. The rooms are stocked with snacks and there's some local artwork you can purchase if you like. The upstairs suite doesn't have any kind of a kitchen, though there's a mini-fridge and I believe a microwave, so dishes are bussed out as you use them; don't plan on doing any food prep on your own. The hostess brought breakfast to the room (there's not a common dining room like most B&Bs) and pointed out the local ingredients including eggs from her chickens and vegetables from the garden. This is a real working mini-farm and it's fun to stroll the grounds and see what is going on. And it's VERY close to the northeast corner of the campus; we were able to leave our car and walk to his dorm (Van Meter) in about 20 minutes. Like the website says, the grounds are very rich in animals and there's an extremely friendly cat who wouldn't stay out of our room in spite of the management's desire to keep the premises pet-free. Keep this in mind if you have allergies.
