However, what really sold me were two things: (1) the customer service of the staff and (2) the arcade's strive for innovation and progression in enhancing the VR experience. The staff where very kind and accommodating, even with our large party of 7. They did their best to provide a wide range of games for us to play. In addition, after our time was up, my friends and I got to beta test their first multiplayer VR backpacks. Imagine being able to physically move around and play with your friends in an open space - awesome, right? This is a but a glimpse of what Escape VR at Oxford, MI can provide to the public. I'm only in Michigan for vacation this weekend, but this visit was the most memorable. As an engineer, I appreciate their innovation and profession in VR, and I hope the next time I visit MIchigan, I get to see how much this place has grown.

This arcade is gaining traction quickly and it is sure to become a hotspot in Oxford, check it out as soon as possible so you can say "I went there before it was popular." :)

The had 4 groups of 4 stacked up on first tee. They have their tee times stacked too close together. Also, for people who can't show up on time for their tee time they still let them jump in a 1/2 hr late, which jacks everything up even more. Then about to make the turn we call up to order some food and they informed us the grill was closed on the weekend. This course was extremely busy to not have the grill open. So pack a lunch if you don't feel like eat a room temp hotdog. The staff was friendly, but this place needs to speed things up and get the grill fired up on the weekend if they are going to be charging $60 for a round golf. Also, the cart girl was great and made her rounds very quickly. I don't think we will be back because 6 hrs for a round of golf is way too long for me. We literally waited almost every shot.

There are a couple of climbing structures for the kids. We did a hay ride (it was windy so bundle up if you're going in the colder months) but everyone enjoyed it. I came to Pine Knob for a sold-out concert and while the show itself was great and our seats had a…read moregood view, the overall venue experience was honestly overwhelming. The venue was PACKED, and getting around felt chaotic because of the sheer number of people. Leaving after the show was by far the worst part. Traffic and rideshare pickup were a mess, and we ended up waiting around for over an hour before our ride was able to get anywhere near us. It was incredibly frustrating and there seemed to be very little organization for getting people out efficiently. The bathroom situation after the show was also awful. We checked two different sections of porta-potties and none of the ones we tried had toilet paper. For a venue hosting that many people, bathrooms need to be adequately stocked throughout the entire event. On the positive side, getting into the venue from VIP parking was quick and easy, our seats were good, and once we were settled in we had a great view of the show. I'd come back for an artist I really wanted to see, but I would absolutely plan ahead for a difficult exit and would not rely on rideshare being easy after a sold-out show.

This is a nice smaller community museum housed in the town's former train station. Like a lot of…read moresmall town museum's, this one has the basics of "famous town fathers" etc, but it is presented better than most. Also a real plus is the fact that there are good descriptions/ labels - and while they are dated - they give good info and aren't over verbose or purple prose-ish. Outside are two key display pieces, ex-Grand Trunk Western Caboose #75017, and a former dormitory/maintenance of war car that was originally built as diner. The caboose has good displays, but with a little tweaking those could be great. The coach is mostly use for storage, which is sad, as it as a full kitchen, and could easily be used as a much needed meeting/ party space. Overall, this a great museum that is well worth a visit.
