A hidden gem in Brooklyn! Based on my very good friend's recommendation, I went to see Jody at Legends for some highlights in December. Upon entering the salon, I was greeted warmly by the very nice woman at the front desk. I sat in Jody's chair and she proceeded to ask me what I wanted, while giving me her suggestions. I have very dark hair, so I wanted warm caramel highlights to brighten me up a bit. Jody really listened and was meticulous in her work. She also happens to be a wonderful person, who made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in. I ended up with gorgeous highlights and am extremely pleased. I've gotten many compliments on my hair. I went back yesterday for color, and again left very happy with my hair. I've been to hairdressers and salons many, many times in my life. I went from brunette to blond, to red, had highlights and ombre done to my hair. But I've never felt so great after having a hair botox treatment done by Jody at Legends salon. Jody has an intuition of a professional. I went in today for a change between blonde to a dark brown. My hair is extremely damaged and dry but the stylist Matt was able to dye my hair in a more healthy and personalized way which turned out better than i thought my hair could look. Went to Legend today for the first time, Very impressed with the work done. Jodi did a beautiful job on the coloring and cut and did exactly what I wanted,My only take back is that it was a little bit expensive and charged a lot more then I have paid at other places. I went to Legends for the first time today after my regular stylist in Bay Ridge retired, I was a little nervous since I had been going to him for years but I must say I was impressed....Jody was very attentive, made me feel very comfortable, she questioned me about my hair history, she took her time with the cut and it came out good..I am happy with the results but not for the amount charged... that is the only drawback for me was that it is extremely pricey.... unfortunately I will not be using them again as I am on a fixed income and can't afford the cost...for those able to afford it more power to you. read more

First off let me start by saying when I went looking for a colorist you would have thought I was researching having open heart surgery. A co-worker friend of mine who gets her hair colored quite often told me about Goldwell. I then cross referenced articles, reviews and of course, yelp. I read all of the reviews and balled up the courage to make the appointment for the consultation. I had my first consultation with Jody a little over a month ago. She is fantastic, kind, caring and listens. I'll be honest I have had some of the worst experiences with beauticians, beauty parlors, salons and many in the beauty industry. I have been told my hair's too thin, thick, frizzy - you name it. I began to give up because I got tired of feeling like a receptacle for insults and criticisms! But not here! Jody is kind and greets you like a old friend she has not seen in a while. After my first color, cut and blow out a little over a month ago. The only grievance we all had was we didn't take before and after pictures. Although I'd be a bit embarrassed at how my before picture would have looked but still, I'm sure you get the point. Yesterday, I went again for my birthday and Jody could not have been nicer. I got a hug and my hair was beautiful for my birthday.
