Highly recommended, have been going here for 3 years now for my hair, laser and facials. They do an amazing job with always getting the hair color that I want and the style of the cut. I recently did a color correction and my hair came out incredible, all my friends were super impressed. The staff is very friendly and the salon has a good ambiance. The laser treatments were painless unlike most places in Brooklyn and the laser treatments worked well ( I did legs and underarms). I also always go for facials, the staff is very experienced and knowledge. She was able to clear up my skin, and now its glowing. She always takes time to explain everything and really help me pick out the best products for my face. 3.5 Came here for a Groupon - cut, blow dry,style and conditioning treatment for $29 (the original price is $100) The haircut went well. Everything was pretty standard, so I don't have too many comments on it. She cut my hair how I wanted it, and kept on asking if everything was alright. I'd like to say that I got my money's worth, but I'm not sure to be honest. Tip was an extra $20, and there was a $3 fee once I got there. I'm not even sure that the conditioning treatment did anything - it felt like regular conditioning to me. Maybe it's my bad for not clarifying, but oh well. I will say that the salon is clean, the staff was friendly to me and they gave me a discount card for the next time that I come in. read more

I'm really just not a fan of this place. I'm definitely not a regular here, and it's for good reason. Every time i enter, no one even says hello, and asks if they could help me or not or if i have an appointment. Like i'm doing them a favor for them to greet me. Its pretty annoying. Their prices continue to rise, and their service quality seems to decline. I continue to be turned off by their manicurists, they have older lazy russian lady doing it, that barely do anything. Its really terrible service, i don't know how people would prefer to come here for a manicure over the chinese owned places that do an absolutely stunning job for less than half the price! read more

I'm getting laser hair removal done by Svetlana and it's completely painless! I have the lowest pain tolerance ever and there is literally zero pain!!! That's because she has a machine from Israel that many salons don't have in America and not only does it not hurt, but it's designed for all skin types and to allow for uninterrupted tanning ( unlike many other machines). Svetlana is a super knowledgeable professional, and also really personable/ kind! She's really honest about the process and which areas work best and doesn't promise false results. I'm on my 5/6 session for underarms / arms and will continue with a few more plus will start legs soon as they work the fastest. I was tired of my hair style. Everywhere I went, I was unsatisfied. I found Green Planet Hair Salon in a Beauty magazine. Basically, I randomly decided to go here. I went in and was greeted very nicely by the staff. I was introduced to a stylist named Oksana. I had total intentions on changing my whole look. Thankfully, Oksana convinced me to keep my style, promising me that I would be completely satisfied. When she was done, I looked in the mirror and was happily surprised to see that I still had my blonde look, but it looked so much more amazing than it ever did. She did an incredible job on my highlights, toning, hot scissor cut and styling. I never believed that my hair could look so healthy and alive!!! Not only is she a wonderful stylist, her personality made my visit a very pleasurable one!!! As a first time customer, I was treated to a nice discount. Amazing hair salon. I just got my first Keratin treatment with them and I'm obsessed!!! My hair feels smoother, shinier, and healthier than ever! They have the newest Keratin treatment in the market which just came out this year and it's so much better than previews ones I had done before. Unlike the others, this one doesn't have any kind of smell (Brazilian usually burns my eyes) It also doesn't require you to keep product on your hair and not wash it for days, unlike previous treatments I've had done. I also got a haircut and they did such a great job at only getting rid of my split ends and not my length. The best beauty place I know. I first went there when I lived in Brooklyn. Now I live all the way in the Upper East Side and I still go only there for a new haircut despite the time I spend in the subway (make it more than 3 hours both ways) Receptionists are always incredibly nice. They always provide you with all information you need and if they don't know something they take your phone # and call you back in a matter of minutes with full information about requested subject. Always smile. Always offer some candies, tea or coffee and even wine. Masters are very talented here. Always nice. And always know what they are doing. Personally I suck at picking pretty much anything when it comes to my hair. And I completely trust my Master Sveta to do whatever she wants. Of course in the end I come out a Beauty Queen. Zarina (manicure, eyebrows etc) is my fav. If there is anyone I trust my eyebrows its her. ONLY! No one else. Girl has a good eye Vika (Cosmetologist). Very dedicated, gentle and extremely nice. She always tries to help and doesn't push cosmetics that miraculously will help you with your skin. TERRIBLE!!HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH MANICURE AND PEDICURE! It was my first and last time at that salon.It was a struggle for me to find a professional nail technician. I found that salon by reviews and it turns out to a night mare. Anya (that's the name of manicurist) cut 4 of my fingers so badly, I was bleeding there, she put some Chlorhexidine. After she started doing my manicure and cut me 3 times. I told her that my fingers are swollen already. She said "it is ok, it will be gone in an hour". I left salon with a very unpleasant tingling and painful sensation. My fingers were bleeding for 2 hours, I called them and the front lady told me: "its ok, just put some peroxide there". The next day I could barely walk, cause after a night I had pus in my cuts and my fingers were red and swollen. Now I realize that those instruments were not sanitized. I went to the salon, and again the front lady told me "it's nothing, just get a peroxide from the pharmacy, it cost one dollar and put it there" I did it, but today is the 5th day of my torture and look at that "makeover" that she did to my fingers. I got a Groupon for this spa and needed to make an appointment a week and a half before going. They then called me three times to change my appointment, When I got there to check in the woman spoke in a foreign language. I said pardon, then in English, she told me I was late. I told them that I was called to come later. She then looks at the Groupon and says you have been here before, gives it back and tells me to get a refund. This place should have their doors closed! I came in there to get a little bit of highlights. I asked Sfeta to not use bleach, ammonia or any other harsh chemicals simply bc it wasnt necessary for my hair. I have dirty blonde hair, I needed to lighten it just a tad. She made me yellow green. I didnt have time to argue and was in there for 3 hours for highlights. This usually takes tops one hour. I then came back so she could fix the hideous color and after another 3 long hours, she made me bright orange. She and her assistant stood there for 20 min's telling me they do not see orange but for some reason every stranger on the street does. I then went to the city to my usual hair stylist to try and fix it. She had to cut off 5 inches of my hair from the damage and the harsh chemicals she had used. My hair is ruined and on top of that they wanted me to pay for the orange color. I had to spend $500 alone to fix it. I dont understand how anyone can call themselves a colorist without the proper credentials or to do a simple job as highlights. When my stylist called, simply to get the formula to find out what Sfeta had done so she can fix it, they started speaking to her in Russian. They refused to speak to her in English and hung up. Very unprofessional. My hair will take years to fix! Stay away for color and their products! On a side note, Alik gives great hair cuts. He's very precise and on point. read more

I have visited the salon for a manicure and a pedicure. The hostess/ front desk girl was friendly and welcoming. The manicure was done very well; probably one of the best ones I ever had done.The manicurist was very throughout: my nails were shaped perfectly and very accurately. The only down side was a lack of hand massage but I didn't mind as the nails came out great. The pedicure was just OK. There was no massage involved, and it was done a bit "rough". The girl left a few small cuts, which I was not pleased with. nails polish was applied nicely and accurately. The pedicure chairs aren't the highest quality (unable to move up or down, no massage option, or option to adjust the back of the chair). The variety of nail color polish is extensive: you will find the color you want! I bought a groupon credit for a hair cut, full color and conditioning treatment. Just redeemed it. About the salon- well it's deff green;). You can see the decor and green accents everywhere. Nice and spacey. The hairdresser Ana talked me out a much darker color I originally planned on slapping on my hair and I am actually very pleased with her recommendation. Overall I am very happy with my experience although the front desk receptionist could be a tad friendlier. They are in a Russian dominant neighborhood and cater mostly to Russians so I guess you sort of have to embrace that. I would go back, but with a groupon for sure. Not worth full price. read more

Took my son (4 yrs old) here to get his 2nd haircut. He had longer hair which we liked. We asked to take a very small amount off and make him look like a boy with longer hair (previously did a haircut in LI and it was AMAZING). The "stylist"/butcher listened to us and proceeded to cut every little bit of the beautiful long hair off and gave our son a Femenin looking SHORT haircut. Had my wife not pushed me out of the salon I dk what I would have done...he had the audacity to ask me if I liked it....I smilled and said yes in front of my son but told him that he was a "schmuck who shouldn't be standing near a salon let alone be cutting hair for kids" in semi private. Some lame handed butcher nearly lopped off half of my wifes beautiful long hair on a separate visit...which was preceeded by a very positive experience. AVOID if you like your hair, or like being listened to when telling them about the kind of cut you want. read more

That it doesnt work it isnt strong enough because my hair is curly. Dont you think that wouldve been something they might want to ask over the phone when booking the hair appointment, which is what I asked. To which the lady told me but how can we do that over the phone......Easy, what type of hair do you have? Would have saved me an entire trip to which she very nonchalantly replied sorry. TERRIBLE. I had a really bad experience at this salon. I found this place on Yelp and based on the amount of stars it received I gave it a shot. I have been growing out my hair for a while from a previous bad hair dye and cut. Finally I decided to change my look to ombré, and thought this will go well. I have no idea if this person was a new stylist but she had no idea what she was doing. First off, I had jet black hair (box dye) she didn't ask me if it was dyed hair or natural. I'm assuming she thought it was natural because she bleach the crap out of my hair. My end result was orange botched highlighted hair with black roots and basically the middle to the ends of my hair was falling off and looked as if u lite a match to it. She notice all the hair in the sink and recommended I get a hair cut. At this point I didn't know what to do, and knew a hair cut was the only option I had to removing the damage. I was so sad because I had grown out my hair purposely to achieve this ombré look with long hair and now as a result I was returning to short hair. Not only was the hair cut horrible with chops and layers of all lengths and ugly face framing but I walked out with orange hair with black roots. I couldn't believe what she had done. To make things even worse my bill was $300!!! I wasn't recommend this salon to anyone. Not for a hair cut or a dye job. read more

Got a mani and pedi through a Groupon deal and was very pleased. The pedi was very relaxing and the nail technician was gentle and didn't snip too low. She was thorough and did an excellent job. My mani was just the same. That's the great thing about deals, it allows you to try a new place out for (at least) half the cost. If I could give the nail tech 5 I would, but the one thing I did notice that I didn't like so much was that they don't use disposable plastic covers in the pedicure sinks. If they were a lil more mindful of sanitary practices, would've given 5 . I'll go back. Very satisfied! read more

What a scam! Bought a $69 Groupon (with added discounts) for this place. First thing when I walked in the door, I was asked to pay $7 tax, which is 10%! My long hair was cut much shorter than I requested. Even worse, I was given a much darker color than I wanted and was told I'd have to come back to have highlights done for an additional charge.
