We spent over a year growing our hair to donate it. My son and I wanted to make sure we could give it away so it took a while to find the right place. My son needed a 50's style cut for his high school musical and I wanted something a little less "Jack Black". Joe took the time to do some research on the donation and called us back and got us in same day! We ended up in the chair with Lu, and so very glad we did. For the past 11 years, I have had my haircut by 1 person. In my whole life, I have only had my haircut by 5 people total. The most recent was here, at Legendz Barber Lounge. Here's the thing - Legendz Barber Shop in Arlington, and the one right across the street from this location are closed on Monday. Being in a lurch, and really needing a trim up before my trip to Philly, I searched the trusty Yelp app to find that this place was indeed open on Monday. Most importantly, they graciously take walk ins. When I arrived a lovely young lady was at the counter. She welcomed me and said, "I can take you now." After the obligatory questions about what I wanted, she got to work. We conversed. Turns out that the owner of Legendz Barber Lounge was the co-owner of the Legendz Barber Shop across the street (You know, that one closed on Mondays). Once his co-owner decided to open the Arlington location, they parted ways. The owner of the one in Arlington kept the one across from the lounge. The owner of the Legendz Barber Lounge decided to be open on Mondays (smart!) I was a fan of the Legendz in Arlington, but this place is simply better. From the lack of pretentiousness, to the young ladies that cut hair there, it is a great place to go. I enjoyed conversing so much, and she did such a satisfactory job with the trim up, I left a 100% tip! Sadly, I do not recall her name. This place is aesthetically pleasing and have heard good things from other reviews, however the guy working on my husband didn't do a great job. He didn't really listen to what he wanted hair cut wise, he left it longer than he wanted on top. He also left with his neck completely red with razorburn. He said the blade felt really dull when he was being shaved. Maybe he was just having an off day since everyone else has had only good things to say about this place. ** The owner reached out to us and offered to personally cut my husbands hair to his preference and let us know he was going to address the issue we ran into with his staff. I have been on the road weeks now when I rode into town. I was in desperate need of a fresh haircut and my friend introduced me to this spot. I was glad that he did. This definitely elevated the whole barber experience. Set up more like a man cave than a barber shop completed with a huge TV and a pool table that clients can play for free while waiting for their hair cut. The shop was very spacious and the interior super modernized. I honestly would come here just to hang out. My barber Chaz was one of the coolest guys I've met. He cut no corners and made sure I looked fresh again. I was very glad I decided to come in, It would've been a lost to leave without checking the place out. Went for the first time today to support a friend...drove 25 mins to get a haircut fixed...i have now found my NEW barber shop!!! All the barbers in there seemed to be very talented and knowledgeable, but i for sure recommend my dude Tom! As someone who has based his career on looking my best at all points in time, to sit down in his chair and him just know what i needed made every minute of the experience the greatest. Called the place, was worried that someone is going to give me a bad haircut, guy on the phone said he'll take care of me or find someone good. I asked him if I can make an appointment and he said that he'll teach me how to make appointments but I'd have to walk in first. When I got there, waited 30 - 60 mins in for walk in. Some people came before me but got in first, you can't tell if it's an appointment or a walk in because staff seems confused on asking whose next and who isnt on the waiting area. Got a guy, looked like he didn't know what he doing, Gave the benefit of the doubt, his friend recommended a cut, trash cut, 2 barbers smirked grinned when they saw how bad it looked. Very unprofessional and the guy I talked to on the phone was just talk to get a sale and he could of taught me how to make an appointment and it would of prevented wasting my time, but he wasted a lot of my time. Also, they ask for cash/zelle, there's even an ATM machine there so you can get cash. I will no longer walk in a barber shop and roll the dice, I will use apps like Booksy or friend recommendations to find the best barbers in the area. read more

Was looking for a new barber close by and I found it! Joe nailed my haircut spot on! Clean shop and great atmosphere!

So with us being new to the area, my man needed a haircut. Long over due and after a huge move, we were hunting for his new go-to spot. Enter Legendz. So after looking thru Yelp reviews, we noticed that there are two locations with this name. Don't get confused! There is an original location and then there is this location. This second location was a partner branching off on their own. We ended up going with the second location due to the slightly higher reviews in regards to customer service. SO HAPPY WE DID. We work a lot of crazy hours so we are limited on time. I Yelp messaged the business asking to make a next day appointment and they replied instantly! Got the perfect time slot and made it clear the time limit my man had. The next day, he was seen instantly for his appointment and was out on time just as promised. Yet he had a great experience! And his fade was near perfect! The owner is amazing and so helpful. He even followed up with us a week later to make sure we were happy with the service. This is our go to now. They interior is awesome with a billiards table and TVs to kill wait time but honestly, just message them...and they will really work with your schedule! Both the male and female staff here are superb and they really care about their customers. A winner! read more

I have been going to this place for a year now as a walk in on weekends. So it's not unusual for me to wait if they're busy. The two girls that have worked on me have always done a good job, which is why I go back. The atmosphere is good too. However, today when I came in the floor was busy and one person in waiting area with me. After about 15 mins 2 of the hair cutting people finished their customers. However, they started to play pool. It does not help me feel like a valued customer if while I am waiting and the people who provide the service play pool. No one said anything to me except when I first came in, I was told to have a seat and we'll get right with me. So, I left. When I started my truck, someone did come out but I was to frustrated to stop and didnt want to go back in and have someone who is forced now to stop playing pool and cut my hair. I will probably go back there because of atmosphere and quality. But, I want them to know how it is perceived when people are waiting and your workers just goof off in plain sight. This is a pet peeve of mine with any service industry that works with the public. Shop was super cool, casual, laid back, and well decorated. Ok so update!!! Talked to Joe(owner) and he told me to come in on a Saturday! No appointment, which is unheard of on a Saturday! Well we got tied up during the day, sidetracked by things on a Saturday like errands etc... we showed up at the shop at 615pm 45 mins before it closed. The guy at the front told me Joe had already left for the day and was gone. Next thing I hear was "hey Joe is right here." So Joe has already cleaned up and was probably headed home to his family at this time as far as I can see. He came to me and said, "come on man I will cut your boy for you." And boy did he cut some hair. He killed the game and gave my boy a fade. Great cut, great experience. This guy did right by us and we will stick with this shop till the wheels fall off. What a great place! My husband took our son in, today, for a hair cut. (John was his barber.) He did such a wonderful job! Our son is so happy. He is always excited to get his hair cuts done here. DO NOT COME HERE! This place has been progressively getting worse. My favorite barber left the shop and went to Plano but I tried to keep coming here and every time it gets worse. The last time I came here it took 3 days of back and forth texts to set an appointment so today. Today I called several times yesterday and this morning to make an appointment and no one answered the phone. I come to the shop sign in and 20 minutes later I'm told they don't actually open til 10. First time at Legendz Barber Lounge, I've been following a lot of Allen's work on Instagram for a few years now and have always been impressed with his work. My boyfriend just recently moved to the Arlington area and was in need of a new barber as he has been to several trials with other barber shops but none have been successful so I referred him to Allen cuz I thought he might be happy with his work. When I walked in as I was waiting for the bf, I was greeted by multiple barbers with a smile on their face and really great customer service, they even let me borrow the charger to charge my phone without even knowing who I am. I honestly felt so comfortable and at home, they had a full house, music was poppin and the vibe there was super lit , on top of that, there's a POOL TABLE so you can shoot pool while you're waiting!!! When Allen was done with the haircut I was super impressed, the fade he did on my bf exceeded our expectations, his haircut was exactly the same way my bf old barber did it, if not better!
