I was in town visiting and I my head was looking like a stray pups mangy backside. I called them up to see if Legends to see what their hours were and the best to to come. The young lady on the phone told me to come in now if possible. Turns out she ended up being the one that cut my her as well. I was a bit skeptical about her cutting my hair, as always with new barbers but I tell you what! She could cut her little but off and kept me in the loop with how she was going to cut, style or fade me up. I don't remember her name but she gave me one of the best cuts in my adulthood since leaving Jersey. It's the ones with good vibes, make you feel welcomed right away like this one... The wait time is horrible. There is no system in place to check the walk-ins and they do not take appointments. They ask the customers to write their name in a blank sheet of paper and after a 2 hour wait, you notice that people who got there after you, are squeezing their names 5 or six names above you and they don't do anything. This was once a great barber shop. I have came here for a little over 2 years and was once a HIGHLY satisfied customer. But, as time progressed, I started to see a huge decline in customer service, quality of hair cuts and management. The manager and barber himself has time and again shown his lack of professionalism by letting his store open later than normal or by not showing up At all. I moved up the hill in October, my barber is down the hill unfortunately I had to start looking for a new place because the drive down was a bit of a waste of time for me so I decided to give this place a try. Speaking of wasting my time this place was soooooo disappointing. I am very picky about who cuts my hair but because of the reviews they had I figured I would give them a shot. I think the place needs a bit of an uplift not dirty but just needs to be a bit updated. From the haircuts I saw they know how to do a clean fade which is what I was looking for. The most disappointing part was their TERRIBLE check in system. When you get there they have a blank sheet of paper you write your name the time you came in and wait to be called. Simple right? Wrong, people are able to come in early write their name in and then leave. So for example I got there @ 10:00am there were two guys before me or so I thought so I figured no biggie. Well two guys got called up figured I was next then a random guy walks in doesn't put his name on the paper and sits down. Barber finishes and calls my name get up and the other guy says no I was here first. Turns out you can come in check in early and leave. if you are early and they call your name and your not there they will hold your spot until you get back. This happened multiple times I sat their for 2 hours and decided to leave. Also friends take priority over first time customers. I ended up going to a barber less then a block down was in and out cheaper price decent cut. If your looking for an ok cut and have 2-3 hours to waste. I would suggest it. read more

I'm not from around here. Been to lots of diff urban shops. This is best around this area. There timing on getting people in and out of the chairs is kinda slow. Yes that's can be a good thing, but if I have to brush some of my beard then do a lil of my own clean up. Then there's 2 issues. Timing. And attention to detail. If Yelp could give me a option to put zero stars I This barbershop is false advertising there hours of operation. I tried three different times to get my haircut here. There hours from Monday - Saturday show they are open from 9am-6pm. However, I came twice during the week around 5pm and they said they were close for the day. Their Sunday hours of operations shows that they are open from 10am- 2pm. So I decided to come on a sunday at 12pm. (07/13/2014). They were closed. This false advertising of hours of operations is very unprofessional. I wish I could write a review regarding the haircut it self. However, I would rather drive down the hill, spend $30 for a men haircut with consistent hours, then trying to come back here and hope for them to be open. Its not worth the time and gas money. read more
