It just makes you feel like it's a safe place. And almost brings you back in time that kids just showing up at the toy store to browse or buy themselves little things. Dick was who helped give me some advice on some toys and was so very friendly. He even offered to gift wrap the toy I picked out and it looks adorable. Though the prices were a little higher than what you would get on amazon for the same or similar item it's a better feeling knowing your supporting local and keeping them in business!

Comprehendible layout, easy to navigate. The store is clean (slightly crowded) , doesn't smell and has a good amount of natural light. Game playing area is in a separate area, that is similar quality. I wouldn't be afraid to bring my kiddo here. Staff is alert, knowledgeable, and friendly (though sometimes a bit odd). Staff actually is doing their jobs, not playing games during hours.

The staff is friendly and turned on the trains in the window for our six year-old to see without even being asked. They stock a lot of new stuff and have a limited amount of used (cheaper) stuff available on consignment. The store is organized quite well so it should be easy to find what you're looking for on your own, but the staff is willing to help (or just chat) if you're up for it. Although we live south of Boston, we'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

Their cards are obviously not the same as you'd find in the Hallmark stores, but you can find a pretty good selection for most events you might need. If you need a card and you're near a Cardsmart, stop in, they can fix you up.
