We stayed at the Legoland Castle hotel for the first time recently and we had a fantastic time. When you go to book the hotel you'll notice that it is a little bit on the pricier end (Though it is still cheaper than staying in a Disneyland hotel and it provides more!) We went back-and-forth with if we wanted to stay there and pay that cost, or if we should stay at another local hotel for our visit. We are glad that we stayed at the hotel. Though the price is high, they provide a lot of great entertainment and things for the children to do right within the hotel. Also, the theming for the hotel is so cool for kids. We loved that there were two separated spaces for adults and kids. We ate at the hotel as well for breakfast and dinner. The food was good enough. Of all child based attractions in Southern California, Legoland has to be among the worst. Parking It took us 35 minutes just to wait in line to be let into the parking lot. As you are driving, the main line turns into two lanes, and then three, and then multiple, with nobody directing traffic--so of course you have a-holes speeding from the back of the line to cut in front when a new lane opens. Actual parking was surprisingly open for the shitshow line you have deal with to get there. Food Absolutely disgusting. I ordered "summer special" BBQ burger for $22 and had to choke down every bite(burgers are typically the one safe menu item I can order if I'm unsure of quality--not here!). Luckily I was able to at least wash that down with a $15 12 oz beer--which took me a good 20 minutes to figure out how/where to buy. My gf order Udon noodles that was served in so much sauce that it looked like ramen soup. They topped it with steamed shredded chicken that looked like cat food. She also ordered a water bottle for $7 that they failed to bring out to her, and when she went to go get it, they gave her a warm one that had been sitting out when she specifically asked for a cold one--mind you it's an 81 degree day and the air conditioning isn't working inside the cafe area. Rides If I had to do it again, I'd get the fast pass, but the day was already half over after two rides. We were halfway through the first line when we downloaded the app and looked at the wait time, which was 65 minutes, so we waited it out for this ride that lasted two minutes. Not wanting to face the same fate, we went to a ride that the app said only had a 15 minute wait--we ended up waiting another hour. Water Park Feeling majorly let down by everything else so far, we figured we'd try to make the best of the day and spend the afternoon at the water park. So we waited in line, just to be told it's an extra $30 per person to get in. At this point I started laughing to myself in disbelief, unsure of how this place remains open. There is a smaller splash pad by Lego Movie World, that we went to instead, and kids were running and slipping and falling everywhere. They need to add some sort of traction to the ground--I can believe they haven't had a lawsuit from a kid cracking their head open yet. Direction Staffing is rude and clearly inadequate. Nobody seemed to want to be bothered with questions, and nobody had answers anyways. There are not enough directional signs, I had to track down an employee to ask where a restroom was, and had to download the app/map for everything else. Final Verdict I will never come back here. I'd rather spend my time and money at the Zoo or go the extra mile for Disney. I actually look forward to this place going out of business. I thought robbery was illegal. read more

It was a fun experience, however, I don't understand why there are strict waiting limits between rides for special needs guests. Children with sensory or developmental needs often cannot handle waiting and become highly anxious. Having to wait up to 30 minutes or more just to qualify for the next ride is incredibly difficult. We are from Santa Cruz, where the Beach Boardwalk allows special needs guests to go directly to the front of the line through the exit without a mandatory cooldown time between rides. It makes the experience seamless, stress-free, and keeps the kids happy. There is no reason to enforce such restrictive wait policies for people with special needs. They really need to rethink this system. read more

Well we have changed rooms 3 times today. First, our room was not ready at 4:00. We were put in another room and the carpet was stained so we changed rooms; the carpet was not any better in the new room. I took pictures and went downstairs again and the lady was super nice and put us in our original room that we had reserved. There is so much for the kids to do at the resort and the pools are nice. The movie theater and playground is great. Our room in the friend's area doesn't have carpet and is much better. The furniture is dated. I haven't decided if it's worth the money or not. I will update my review tomorrow after the park experience. So we moved rooms twice because the carpet was stained and they put us in room 1067 and it's almost right beside the elevator and so loud that we didn't go to sleep until after 10 pm. We have a 2 and 4 year old with us so you can imagine how miserable everyone was until it got quiet. read more

This review is an overall experience given the fact that we actually stayed on the Legoland California Resort property this time around... Booking three [2 day visit] park tickets with 2 day stay was pricy. Tacking on the Legoland California Hotel birthday package added an additional $120.00 for: 1) Skip the line ride pass for one attraction 2) LEGO cake plush 3) LEGO cake keychain 4) LEGO set 5) birthday lanyard 6) birthday blanket 7) birthday tote 8) birthday banner Due to my toddler being a tree hugging, nature lover- it was only natural for us to make reservations for the DUPLO themed room. This colorful, jungle inspired room was amazing. The wow factor was undeniable but!!! so was the strange scent that lingered throughout the room. While exploring the rooms decor, it was also discovered that the room was not thoroughly cleaned since there were sprinklings of debris in the LEGO head ice holder and there was a California Pizza Kitchen take out bag still laying in one of the drawers. Honestly, I let that all slide because the birthday babe was over the moon with the room. Fast forward to waking up after our first night in, we were woken up at 6:30am due to the bright light that shown through the curtains. Curtains that were broken and would not close fully. After a long day at the amusement park, waking up at 6am was the last thing we wanted to do! While enjoying our 2nd day at the park, we let our hotel rep know about the issue and I was honestly hoping for the issue to be fixed... AND IT WASN'T. It was a 2 night stay so we just sucked it up but it really was unfortunate to spend such a large amount of money and to have to deal with these annoyances. 3 stars overall. The worst experience ever on the castle hotel, not actually Legoland. we have to wait one hour after our reservation time. we talked to the people in the front desk to see why we had to wait for so long Nobody knew from this people were not really helpful. We finally get a room after one hour waiting when we get to the room the boys were so excited to open the bags for this Lego surprise. They opened it with the code and there was empty after that we decided to take a shower and it was not shampoo and conditioner in our shower we had to call the manager to complain and see what's going on. The manager was not really helpful. we explain everything that was going on. Our vacation was not really success. If you wanna come to Legoland I do not recommend to stay on the castle hotel. After probably 2 decades, I have returned to an evolved Legoland, still full of wonder and delight for the young. The layout is still the same, with the addition or changes of the themes in each section of the park. It's incredible how a plastic brick can change and shape the generations upon generations of lovers of Lego to give excitement, to give imagination a tool, to give joy in building whatever you want. I visited on a Thursday, in the second week of April 2026, a picture perfect day in the 70's and a nice cool breeze blowing throughout the park. The crowds are full of young families enjoying time to play and imagine and to wonder. I highly suggest going to the Legoland website for complete information and even consider installing the App for up-to-date information on rides and on the park in general. You can even get tickets and information there. I opted for a third party ticket which worked out fine. Also, park hours are noted for planning. Be prepared to walk. Some significant hills to climb to get to the top of the Medieval section. Along the way you will pass several themed villages as well as you descend from the mountain. Also, a power station or charger would be helpful. Cell service is okay, but, your battery will drain from all the pictures that you will be taking of all the fun happening!!! And turn off your WiFi as well to conserve energy. Food and services are the usual fare with many different kinds and lots of places to sit and enjoy your meal. 20+ years later, the trees have matured, the rides are clean and fresh, many families are enjoying the wonderment and the joy our little ones have with visiting the park. Kids of all ages would enjoy this park especially if they've seen The Lego Movie. They've added all sorts of themes and even recently opened up a castle hotel in March '26. Be forewarned - the water park isn't included in the general admission unless otherwise stated. I bought my tickets online. It is convenient and easy and supposedly cheaper. It ended up being over $330 for 4 of us still. There were a couple of rides/restaurants that were being fixed/closed like the pirate reef and the Ramen restaurant. The UFO for lunch was alright. Pure controlled chaos during lunchtime. You get in line and use the kiosk and you get a text at the different stations depending on what you order. I had the pad thai which was greasy but edible. There's a fruit bowl that looked fantastic but couldn't find it. The park is deceptively bigger than what it looks like on the map. We ended up spending over 6 hours there. So glad we spent our family time together here. There was so much to do! read more

Legoland, the Disneyland alternative in Southern California. Amazing theme park for teens and young adults. I myself am in my 30s and I felt like I was too old for it, but I enjoyed the rides nonetheless. 1. Galacticoaster- 5/5 similar to space mountain at Disneyland but faster and more intense, it's their newest ride with the longest line, but I purchased their $170 fast pass that had 5 minute wait to save time on a busy day. Not worth it unless it's spring break or summer for the fast pass. Top 3 best attractions there. 2. Emmets flying adventure ride - 5/5 best attraction at park, it is like a journey ride where you are lifted in an 8 row seat across into a platform that allows you to watch legos in a sky city traveling through clouds. 3. Technic Coaster - 5/5 top 3 best ride there. Most intense ride with strong g forces on the drop. It's like crazy mouse coaster but more intense. Mainly for thin or small people due to small restraints. I'm skinny so fit just fine in it. 4. Ninjago - 5/5 top 5 ride at park, adventure ride with points to hitting Lego ninjas, it's a game ride and line can be long, go to it first as it is near entrance. Fun family sit down shooter for points. Great music and ambiance. 5. Coastersaurus/dragon coaster - 4.5/5 similar coasters, but for teenagers. The coastersaurus goes around twice but is short, the dragon coaster is a unique themed dragon coaster, very fun for families. 6. Coast cruise - 4/5 river boat ride with commentary, relaxing but can be hot on a summer day. It was alright, not that special but relaxing, basically "it's a small world" from Disneyland but outside. The rest of the attractions are below a 4/5. So about 5-6 rides are great. I will make honorable mention to the submarine ride, but it was like a 4/5. You go underwater in submarine and find treasure. It was decent but I would say Disneyland has a better submarine ride. Other notable mentions are that the food there is not great, my friend and I ordered hamburgers and fries, they really need better food. This place was by the galacticoaster. Below the galacticoaster has disco drop kitty and there are ramen and other restaurants in that area near emmets flying ride but I reckon it is unhealthy. An amazing family theme park overall, I enjoyed it more than Disneyland due to less crowd but also same or similar quality rides and the quantity of rides and Lego stores and activities were great. Parking lot was massive and a very odd scenery of Lego castle front. The sea life aquarium was amazing! I enjoyed touching the starfish, sea anemone and sea urchins along with looking at jellyfish glowing. Definitely a great addition. I want to come back in the future after 30 years since my last visit. Definitely worth going to when it's not busy otherwise, you're forced to purchase the fast pass which can be expensive for $170. You get on all rides at least with it guaranteed regardless of the overpacked crowds we witnessed that day we went. read more

Staff: Unfortunately, this is the area where a single employee, single-handedly made for another bad experience for the exact same thing she did almost one year ago. An employee by the name of Megan at the Techno coaster was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and a very bad representation of the Legoland. I very nicely asked if I could wait for the front seat. She obliged but after I walked past her, she told me, "don't ask me again". Yes, you read that correctly, an employee of Legoland actually said this to a customer. Crazy thing is she did the exact same thing to me one year ago tomorrow. Back then I lodged a complaint too, but apparently nothing happened as she did it again today. Perhaps management may want to consider a different job where she doesn't have to support customer seating. After 10 years of annual passes, numerous hotel stays, and someone who is always nice to the staff, I was greatly offended by her behavior. I had planned on staying in the hotel this coming June, but based upon her behavior, I'm now reconsidering it. I did speak with Jordan who is a manager in guest services about my concerns. He was great and assured me he would open an investigation. I even showed him the text message from 4/6/2025 to my wife where I sent her Megan's name and her behavior a year ago when she was disrespectful when I asked for a seat preference. I can only imagine how many other customers have been treated the exact same way. Legoland was fun, but it's geared more for kids under 12. Lines for rides weren't outrageously long, we waited 1/2 hour to get on the new ride galactic coaster but it lasted maybe a minute. The dragon coaster said it was closed in the App but it was actually open when we walked by it so we he wait time was 5 minutes. Which was a score! Again the ride lasted a minute. The water park is another entrance fee and the aquarium is also another entrance fee. Food selection was y great so we chose to not eat inside the park and wait until we were done with the rides and eat outside the park. We left the park about 2:30pm. read more

It's hard to be critical of any activity which tears any child away from their screens or social media so I'll be gentle on Legoland... a theme park designed around the plastic bricks which have been named "toy of the century" and literally means "Play Well" in Danish. You have to admire anything that sparks imagination and creativity in our sedentary age. That said, as an adult Legoland is frankly a touch boring and after an hour or two marveling at the incredible creations conjured from the plastic blocks and the paucity of adult attractions I was quite literally ready to hit the bricks and build my own escape vehicle. I loved Legos as a kid and have been told there are legions of adult hobbyists still addicted... an admission you may want to save for the third date. In any case I saw a ton of smiling kids and I suspect that's what's for sale here so anytime less than five stars would be unfair. One and done. read more

I wanted to like LEGOLAND, but it just wasn't worth the price. Most of the rides are extremely short. They're decent enough, but unless you're willing to pay extra for Fast Track, you'll spend far more time waiting in line than actually enjoying the attractions. The new Pokémon event was especially disappointing. We waited about an hour only to find that it was basically an opportunity for kids to play with LEGO Pokémon sets. It felt more like a toy demo than an actual attraction and definitely wasn't worth the wait. Overall, I'd recommend spending a little more and going to Disneyland instead. Legoland needs to retrain their employees who operate the rides. It just ridiculous how long the waits are, and some of the lines are not even that long, but the waits are long. Not really sure how to approach this one! My son really wanted to come here, so we did and he was excited in a way I have honestly never seen before. He had the time of his life! Core memories were made and that part is priceless. And honestly, that should matter a lot when rating a place! But if I try to be objective, the park itself is not that great. Pricing is ridiculous. Lines are insanely long, and most of the rides are pretty underwhelming. You end up spending forty minutes to over two hours in line for rides that last under two minutes. The worst part is the Reserve and Ride passes. People who pay extra get to skip lines, which just makes the wait even longer for those of us paying the already steep ninety dollars per person per day. It very much feels like a two tier system. Food options are bad and limited. There is not much worth eating here. I also came in with a game plan to hit the most desirable rides but once we got there we found out there is massive construction going on that basically splits the park in two. That makes the app almost useless since you cannot easily pivot to less busy rides without walking all the way around the park. Legoland also feels old. It really needs modernization. More seating, charging stations, and general upgrades would go a long way, similar to what modern airports have done. All that said, my son had an absolute blast and that matters the most to me! But yes, Legoland could be so, so, so much better at these prices! read more

My son wanted to come here for his 9th birthday, and I agreed. We finally made it a month later, and it was okay. My little complaints are: I wish the lines weren't so long. We arrived when it opened and left when it was closing. Most of our time was spent waiting in lines. If you can afford it, use the express lines, because I swear they wait 30 to 60 minutes to get in. That's why we stayed until closing and didn't notice. The food wasn't much to write home about, so if you can pack lunch, please do. Even the food lines were long, and with little ones, it's not ideal. I wanted my son to have the full experience, so I bought him food there, but the pretzels were super salty, and the churros were burned and extra hard. There's a bajillion reviews already so let me get right to the point of this review which is to tell you which level of ticket upgrade you want: the "reserve and ride deluxe" - and purchase it in advance. Yes tickets are already expensive, but they also really amp up the knights and dragons theme by requiring the medieval experience of waiting in hour+ lines with your kids unless you get one of 5 (yes 5!) levels of ugprade. Or even 6 depending how you count it. Here they are from cheapest to most expensive: - "Reserve and Ride": doesn't save you any time waiting in line but at least you can wait in line "virtually" and not in the physical queue. So your kids can go play at a playground onsite. Honestly, it feels like this should be included in regular admission. It's not buying you any priority, it's just ending the human rights violation that is queuing in place. - "Reserve and Ride Deluxe": same as above but wait times are cut 50%. We did this and it was worth it. Taking into account the time it took to walk from ride to ride this one was just right. And it cost barely any more than the basic version - which should frankly be free. - "Reserve and Ride Premium or Ultimate or Platinum or something": same as above but 90% reduction. At like twice the price. Couldn't make this one make sense. - Some human walks you around and lets you skip even more lines - even more expensive and I don't remember the point. - Some human walks you around and some other extra premium something I don't remember - yet more expensive than that. - "One shot" passes - pay to skip the line for specific rides. Wound up doing this for one ride when we went for a partial day. Oh! Early entry for hotel guests is sort of a benefit I guess because you can queue up for one ride before the ride itself opens even though the park is open. But is this actually that much of a benefit? Don't know. Reserve and Ride Deluxe probably gets you about the same benefit. Also - we got a big suite at their castle hotel and it was mostly great. Will write another review about that. read more

Our second visit here and always have a great time. The staff is excellent and the hotel grounds are everything Legos. The park has quite a few areas and each is themed. The new dinosaur area is open this year with new rides and it looks like they will have a space themed area open next year in 2026. This time we stayed at the Lego Castle Hotel, on premise is a pool with multiple life guards,, outdoor movie watching area showing Lego movies day and night, and also a playground for toddlers and also one older kids. Food selection is limited in the park and in the hotels except for the breakfast buffet and the Lego Hotel dinner buffet when they are open on weekends during the low season. The breakfast buffet is excellent and included with your stay at one of the on Legoland resort hotels. Dinner buffet is only at the Lego Hotel and this time it was only open on the weekend, however, if you go, it is excellent. They had a prime rib station last time we were there and a wide variety of food. There is a diner in the main hotel in the bar area the seemed to be open near lunch time and the Casrle Hotel restaurant is open during dinner and breakfast. We noticed multiple families somehow got pizzas onto the premise and were feasting on them in the outdoor dining areas. In the park, the main country store at the back of the park is closed at the time of this review as there is a new indoor coaster being built there. They used to have a food court with a wide variety of food and goods in there and a staff member said it should be back open once construction on the new space themed area is finished. At the time of our visit during the weekday, in the park, only the burger and pizza places were open, along with main snack store near the entrance. Also, the Big Shop has been moved to a smaller stores where the discovery centers used to be I front of the Lego Ferrari facility. They always seem to be improving or changing something and not sure when all this new construction will be finished but it is still a great visit. During the weekdays, the lines are short and no crowds to work through. Weekends tend to be a loy busier. read more

My 7 and 8 year olds had a great time even though they don't care about LEGOs. The new rides were really fun. Great food options would improve the park a lot. It's Monday 07/20/2026. I took my child to Legoland. We paid over 300 dollars for the pass lane. But on every ride, we still have to wait around 40 mins. It's like waiting in the regular line. This is not what a fast pass meant to do. I have the annual pass, so we come a few time a year and this is probably the worst time time, the fast pass is very disappointing and definitely a waste of my hard earned money. Not sure if we will be renewing our pass next year. With the fast pass we are usually able to finished all the rides around this time, some rides even rided twice. Purchased the 3 day tickets from Costco used one of them on 2/22/26. Expiration says 6/6/26. Tried to go for the second day 5/16/26. Now all of a sudden the other days had to be used within 60 days of first visit. I'm not able to put into words how tragic this is to my 3 kids. I'm trying to console them while I spent 25 mins calling Legoland and NEVER being able to get to speak to an actual human. All this aside, Legoland is the biggest waste of money. It is absolutely the most boring amusement park in existence. There's barely anything to do without spending extra money. The rides are only fun for kids under 3 but you have to be taller than a 3 year old to go on any of them. The food is like cardboard. The displays are ugly and definitely not worth the cost of admission. Shame on legoland for misleading consumers, for traumatizing my kids, and for stealing my money. My 11 year old stepdaughter has been wanting to go to Legoland for quite a few years and I was finally able to plan it for her birthday this year. We got there pretty much right when it was opening and Parking was easy with a bit of a walk to front. I mean, it's definitely geared towards younger kids, but we still had a decent time. My 3 stars is for the price of the ticket for what you get. There aren't many rides and we waited for 45 minutes in the staggering heat for a ride that wasn't even exciting under a minute :(. The food was okay. Smokehouse bbq was pretty good. Definitely underwhelming but I'm glad I went once. Needs more action and would not recommend for older kids. I did love the cities built in legos! The water ride was fun and she went on multiple times. But Had we taken her when she was younger it probably would have been better. read more

This was our first stay at the Legoland Castle Hotel and Park. We had a great time with our 3-year-old grandson and 6-year-old granddaughter. The Hotel had a nice Lego Castle theme, which my grandchildren loved. I was impressed with the quality of the Brick restaurant at the Legoland Hotel; the service and the food were excellent! We had a brunch dinner on our first night. I enjoyed the Legoland experience, and I look forward to our next visit with our grandchildren. read more

My family had a blast here! We purchased the two day hopper tickets to explore the aquarium, water park, and Legoland. We enjoyed the main park and the water park the most. The aquarium was small and there is a small area to touch some sea anemones and sea stars. There was so much to do and the rides provide unique experiences geared towards kids. There are also themed playgrounds that were interesting to explore and allowed kids to burn off energy. I would recommend reserve and ride. Our favorite was the Ninjago. Parking was easy and there are in and out privileges, though it's better to stay in the park to take advantage of every minute. The park was clean and very family friendly. The park is also very sensory friendly as well. There are details of how an attraction or ride impacts the senses on a scale posted everywhere. I brought a wagon packed with snacks and water. I left the wagon while going on rides and felt safe doing so. Some rides don't allow hats and purses and will need to be placed in cubbies inside of the ride area that is gated or enclosed. The staff were friendly and focused on safety at all times. Food was okay and the prices are extremely reasonable, comparable to outside restaurants. There are water refill stations and restrooms located throughout the park. There is an incline to get to some parts of the park so bring tennis shoes. I came to Legoland on opening day when I was a kid and I love that now I can take my own kids to the park and experience it. However, I will say that over the few decades, this park is in need of some TLC. Especially in the mainland area. A lot of the animatronics are broken throughout the park and you can see that a lot of the bricks are weathered & in need of being replaced. Are they things that young kids will notice? Probably not. But as an adult, and one who has been coming since the very beginning, it's just somewhat of a shame to know that with all the money they're charging for admission, they wouldn't put it towards basic rehab of the park. Beyond that, Legoland is a great medium sized theme park. It's definitely geared towards pre-teen & younger kids, but that's fine. My kids are 8, 5, & 2. And they loved every second of the park. The park is also somewhat small so unless it's a super crowded day, you could easily do everything the park has to offer and still have some hours of operation to kill. But I think that's actually a good thing because you never feel pressured to run around the park to get everything in. Staff here is great. They're very patient with kids and deal with the chaos of them running around really well. Especially in the build areas (which I honestly wish there were more of throughout the park). As I mentioned above, Mainland, which is the center of the park, is such a mixed bag. The newer areas (Vegas, San Diego, etc) look great. but the older areas of the park (San Francisco, NYC) are really showing their age. Most of the motion is broken as are the little interactive areas. It's a shame and the biggest thing keeping me from giving this park the 5 stars I really want to give it. When we were there recently you could tell they were (finally) in the process of replacing some of the pieces, but still. It was just disappointing. In all, Legoland has always been a park I loved to visit. And It's a great family friendly park. It sparks creativity in kids by showing them some of the amazing things those little plastic bricks can make while also giving them some fun Lego themed rides to go on. However, it just needs to be kept up better. Something other theme parks in SoCal do a much much better job at doing. read more

If you have younger kids I think Legoland might be a decent theme park experience. Right now many rides are not in service due to maintenance but it was still nice coming here. Why? It's convenient and made well so that if you're in line the kids have plenty of Lego stations. There are plenty of playgrounds too. If your their for crazy rides it doesn't have the kind of rides that other theme parks have. So that's the biggest negative in my opinion. But even with that. I enjoyed the convenience of the park. For instance the park was scheduled to close at 5 but they allowed the park to stay open a little later then that the day we went. Another thing is they have sale sections where you can get discounted shirts or toys (not legos though). When I say convenience one thing is the parking. You can walk to your car from the entrance really easily unlike other theme parks where it takes 20 min with a tram. I was tempted to remove a star. Why? The Dino dig play area next to coast a saurus didn't have enough tools for the kids to dig. Literally there was only 2 shovels for like 20 kids. Get more shovels please! read more

Wow! I was super disappointed with the park and completely let down, especially for the price. I'll start off with the cons and finish my review on a positive note: Cons: Parking fee ($40- like why?) Disneyland charges the same price but offers a tram, bus, or at least a scenic walking route to their theme parks with staff everywhere to guide Every line we waited in was 70minutes + We'd wait about 35-40 minutes and 3 times on 3 separate rides it broke down, so we had to exit the ride. One of those rides, an announcement wasn't even made- we happened to just check the app when we realized the line hadn't moved at all. What a complete waste of time and money. After many failed attempts to ride working attractions, we only got on 1 ride as a family and our kids drove the go carts. Lines are so unorganized and wait times are ridiculous. Food - we didn't eat but we did order a couple drinks and dessert. The seating was limited and outdoors, my kids would freak out with the poop droppings from birds and seagulls so we kept it moving. Not enough tables- definitely not clean and kept up by staff. Trash everywhere and sticky. The walk around the park just doesn't make sense to me. There's no easy access or way to get to where you really want to go without climbing uphill , only to discover the rides are closed or lines are long. The stores: loved the variety of legos - but on a hot humid day, the last thing you want to do is walk into a store that's just as hot inside with gnats / mosquitos everywhere. At least get a door air blower. Pros: Churros with chocolate were delicious. Refillable drinks was a huge + & and once we came to the realization that we just weren't going to be able to enjoy any of the rides, we switched out mindset to turn the day around for our a kids and looked at Legoland like an outdoor Lego mall with a mini park. Therefore our kids were able to enjoy purchasing a Lego of their choice, desserts, play in the playground, the splash pad and get some steps in. Overall. I don't think ticket prices are worth it when you consider the drive, lack of cleanliness, attractions, food options or even upkeep with the park. We left feeling underwhelmed, disappointed, like we wasted time and money. Would NEVER go back. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. My family and I were planning our first trip to Legoland in California for my toddlers birthday. We've been long time Disney pass holders but never made the trip down to San Diego to attend Legoland. We only plan to attend for one day and don't need any bells and whistles for our first time. Trying to navigate the online website was a bit overwhelming with all of the colors and graphics and I was simply looking for the cheapest option. I somehow stumbled through purchasing tickets for a date in the near future. Upon receiving my confirmation order, I noticed that somehow I had purchased a park "hopper" ticket. I didn't even know that was an option, nor do I even know what other "park" I would hop to. My understanding is that there is an aquarium that you pretty much get free admission into with your ticket purchase, and then I guess the water park? Which we don't care about. But this isn't Walt Disney world or even Disneyland where you can hop between Disney's California adventure park. When I noticed my mistake, within less than 24 hrs, I promptly reached out to customer service to try to exchange and remedy the issue. I figured since we're not going until April 2026, we have plenty of time to fix this simple mistake. Looking at the website, apparently the water park will be closed on the day we were trying to visit, so how would we even utilize a park hopper ticket. Anyhow, I reached out to customer service and they pretty much said, and to paraphrase, "suck it, too bad. All sales final loser." So safe to say that, even before we step foot into that amusement park, we already know we will never, ever be visiting any Lego land theme park again. If they want to die on the poor customer service hill for a hundred or so dollars, they'll lose the potential thousands of dollars my family could've spent at their parks for the foreseeable future. And you better believe I will be letting any extended family and friends know to never go there. To anyone that asks, I will also advise them never to go there. The icing on the cake is that in the email, despite spitting In your face, having the audacity to wish you a good day with warm regards And if you're like me and trying to visit for the first time, just don't. Go to Disneyland or a local attraction. There are plenty of free or affordable things to do in Southern California that will treat you better than this brand. I will also not be purchasing any duplo or Lego sets for any of my children, nephews or for any child in the future. They have made me an enemy of their brand in an instant. read more

Very cute theme park. Went with 2 five year olds and it was just the right age with just the right amount of rides and attractions. Bought the $39 special for kids and then got the upgrade for reserve and ride which worked out well. Then the kids tickets turned into adult priced tickets but no lines more than 5 minute so I would say if you can splurge, this is a great way to maximize the time spent at the theme park. Neither of the kids are super into Legos but they do have some sets at home. Both still really enjoyed the Lego themes. Each area of Legoland has a playground area which was surprising and really appreciated for them to run around and release their energy. This also allows for kids of all ages to have some age-appropriate activity. Don't forget the quick aquarium walk through before you head out. Parking was a breeze and there's really no need To pay for premium. The hotels on site are cool. Wish we had stayed at the legoland hotel or their castle themed one, but there's always next time. Lastly for adults, when driving out or into the parking lot, take a quick glance to the west. The ocean view is magical. read more

5/5 A must have is the reserve and ride pass. Definitely was worth every penny spent on this pass. We did every ride in the park from 10-3pm riding some twice. This would not have been possible without the pass. I can't say enough amazing things about LEGOLAND! From the moment we walked in, the energy, creativity, and attention to detail were absolutely magical. The park is beautifully designed--every corner has something fun, colorful, and imaginative. It truly feels like stepping into a real-life LEGO world. The rides were perfect for kids and adults alike--thrilling but family-friendly. Our favorites were the Dragon Coaster and LEGO Ninjago The Ride. The lines moved faster than we expected, and the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. Miniland USA blew us away! The miniature cities made entirely out of LEGO bricks are jaw-dropping. You could spend hours just admiring all the little details. The water park was the perfect way to cool off in the afternoon--clean, safe, and full of fun features for all ages. The food was surprisingly good too--lots of variety, decent prices, and even some healthier options. And of course, the gift shops were a LEGO lover's dream come true. Overall, LEGOLAND exceeded every expectation. It was fun, creative, well-run, and totally worth it. Whether you're bringing kids or just a LEGO-loving adult, this is a must-visit destination. The kiddos love this place & we have been year-pass holders (with parking). That's the best deal if you live locally & can come more than once or twice. The water park & aquarium are great for hot summer days. The rides cater to a younger audience or fans of Lego movies. Building with LEGO blocks is something the grandkids do EVERY visit. Highly recommended if you have younger kids or grandkids or older parents who can't handle rougher rides - my 90+yo mom-in-law loves coming here for her birthday. If the Chima Wave Pool section of the water park is open then this place gets 5 stars. Unfortunately it's only for a short time during the summer so otherwise 4.5 stars. read more

They do a great job at Legoland catering to families with young kids! Now that Disneyland has been taken over by childless millennials that the parks have no choice but to cater to, it's nice to have Legoland to fall back on for all my kids' needs! The rides are enjoyable for both kids and adults but I do like how the attractions are really geared for young kids. I am happy to sit on the sidelines and watch my daughter enjoy the Lego City Bumper Cars! I love how the cars are smaller for kids only! Some of lines (I wish it was all of them) have Legos in the center that the kids can play with! This helped us get through some long lines. I love how the queue basically circles around the Lego table so kids can play and you can hold a place in line and easily keep an eye on them! Let's talk about the playgrounds...amazing! Some people knock it, saying that we have to pay for a playground, but the reality is, that's what the kids want! And what I want is my kid to be happy so if I can go on a couple rides, I am happy to sprinkle in a few stops at the numerous playgrounds. My favorite attraction was the Lego submarine...basically the submarine ride but instead of animatronic fishes...it's a real legit aquarium! The fish are plentiful and some of the sharks are huge! My daughters had a lot of fun with this ride. The lines can get pretty bad on the weekends so I do recommend at least the basic fastpass that you have to pay for. I felt it was worth it. I also didn't really need the fastpass on the weekdays that we went. Hopefully we make this a yearly tradition and visit Legoland every summer! read more
