This is such a beautiful resort in Carlsbad! The valet parking guys are so friendly and welcoming. I like the fitness center, they have a lot of Techno gym equipment, including 2 ellipticals and five treadmills, also have free weights and a Smith machine.

Just spent the weekend here for the company holiday party. We had a blast and this hotel is top notch. My room, it is just a regular room but everything is well placed and feel exclusives. I can tell they are selective on the hotel staff selection. Alot of them can be models. The service were second to none. After our main party, some of us stayed at the main lobby bar for an after party. We have moved furniture and ordered alot of drinks. When we left, it definitely was a mess. The hotel handled it with ease. When i went back for my breakfast the next day, everything has been cleared up. Bravo. Great experience.

My husband and I spent a few nights here for our Babymoon, and it was truly a wonderful getaway thanks to Park Hyatt! The resort was well-kept and beautiful, the rooms were clean, the gym was very well-equipped, but most of all, it was quiet and peaceful with incredible views, just the way we wanted our Babymoon to be. Staff were friendly and nice. Not only did Valet act swiftly when we requested them to park at an EV spot for our car to get charged, it rained during our stay and they offered to loan us their large umbrellas, which was so nice. Our fireplace wasn't functioning properly, so when I called Guest Services, we had maintenance at our doorsteps within minutes. We dined at both Ember & Rye and Ponto Lago. Both were great dining experiences, but we preferred Ponto Lago slightly more. There is a convenience store within the resort, which we used on several occasions to purchase water and coffee. I had one minor incident at Concierge/guest services, which wasn't a big deal, but could've been handled slightly better given this is a luxury resort, after all. I inquired at Concierge to book us spa appointments at Miraval Spa, but the female staff wasn't that helpful. She dialed the Spa, but when they didn't answer after a few rings, she just simply told me to come back and didn't even take down my information to follow up or further assist me. I could've just called the Spa myself while I was in my hotel room. I bothered not to go back, just didn't feel like she wanted to help even though no one was around.

The Park Hyatt Aviara has my heart! I think it is the best Hyatt in San Diego- beautiful sunset views of Carlsbad and a luxury hotel. The service is always good- they always try to upgrade your room as a World of Hyatt Member, and there are always small touches in the room if you are celebrating an event like an anniversary with prosseco, chocolate covered strawberries, or macarons. The hotel property is huge, it's fun just to walk around! When I've stayed here, there is often a conference or Indian wedding occurring so there's always something to see. They have a good number of dining options. The lobby bar (Pacific Point) and pool food (Waters Edge) are fine. The coffee shop inside is good too for a grab and go coffee, but the food is just okay. For dinner, I really liked Ponto Lago and think their dinner is better than Ember & Rye. Ponto Lago's baja style dinner options have all been great. Ember & Rye's steaks have just been okay! The amenities offered were also great- they offer fitness classes, the pool (both adult and family pool) are fun- check out the water slide!! The gym is also very nice with brand new equipment. They offer a shuttle service to take you to the 4 Seasons tennis court and pickleball court which are very nice.

What a beautiful property. We stayed there this past weekend for the second time, and really enjoyed it. Driving up to the hotel entrance, you can already tell it's a posh hotel, and walking into the lobby and seeing the ocean view... Just amazing. The first time we stayed we were upgraded (my wife is a globalist with the Hyatt loyalty program, so free upgrades and free breakfast, very nice perks! ). to a one bedroom suite which was very nice and spacious. This time we weren't upgraded due to a large wedding party, but we still got a nice room with partial ocean view. As a pickleball player, I was able to take advantage of the courts connected to the hotel free of charge (super nice courts). And lastly, the breakfast was very good, with omelet station, a variety of hot items, fresh fruits and pastries, fresh juices and gourmet coffee, all in an elegant dining room. Elegance without snobbery defines the hotel, which is not the norm for high end hotels. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, adding enjoyment to the stay. Highly recommended!

My friend and I recently attended the Carlsbad Wine & Food Festival (Reserve Wine Event) that took place on the beautiful lawn of Park Hyatt Aviara. This hotel was so incredibly beautiful and had a stunning view! The staff were all very friendly and professional. I'll have to come visit this property again and would recommend to my colleagues and friends who visit Carlsbad!

PREMIUM COASTAL SUITE (with a lagoon and coastline view) - MORNING] Sunlight pours in aggressively through the shear curtains. STASSIE, clad in Sweaty Betty glamwear, wants to start the weekend off with a "casual brunch". The other housewives are arriving: BRANDIE (spray-tanned Pilates instructor), CARRIE (former beauty queen turned self-help blogger), and LEXIE (TikTok celeb who checks her socials every 5 minutes). STASSIE (to camera): I invited the girls for a goddess getaway at the finest resort in town for some judgy trauma-bonding. We packed our Hermès, Pradas, and Balenciagas... and of course enough lip-plumper to kill a horse. BRANDIE (cold-hugging STASSIE): "OMG babe, I love what you've done with your look. It's giving... 'divorced but thriving'." STASSIE (eye-roll): "Thanks, Brandie. Cute 2023 Versace dress. Love the 'peacock' colors... But why aren't you wearing undergarments!?! Is it a laundry issue?" LEXIE (walking in waving her phone): "You guys, Brad Pitt just followed me! It's so weird because he only has 15 followers!!" CARRIE (excitedly joining): "Which mimosas are we having: Lychee, Guava, or Lavender?" STASSIE: "Yes. They're bottomless. Like Brandie." [THEY SAUNTER TO THEIR RESERVED TABLE] Brandie said that she deserved a "brunch glow-up" and ordered the Japanese Pork Belly Frittata with Okonomi Sauce. Lexie got the Hong Kong-Style French Toast with Apple-Shiso Jam - but bedazzled it with the gold flakes she had in her croissant-shaped Chanel bag. Stassie and Carrie move some fruit around their plate as they continue to game-plan their weekend. [CUT TO CONFESSIONAL - STASSIE]: "They wanna go check out golf? GOLF? Are YOU deluushnnal?! These golfers so sick of the sh*t-show they just wanna repeat-whack somethin with a stick. And why you evaluatin another man's stroke?" [BACK TO THE TABLE - the mimosas are flowing...] The group is reminiscing about their recent escapades-- like when they accidentally crashed a wedding while making a TikTok. LEXIE: "We were just 'Uptown Funking' on their dance floor! Who knew bridezillas could be so territorial?" STASSIE (looking at phone): "So... I saw that someone here has been liking Greg's thirst traps again. You know, my ex?" BRANDIE (without looking up): "Girl, it's social media. I like everything. I liked a picture of a seal in a bikini yesterday." CARRIE: "Can I please finish my mimosa juice cleanse in peace." BRANDIE: "I liked it before I realized it was Greg. I thought it was a sponsored post for bronzing oil or something. He was hella... shiny." LEXIE: "Honestly, this is why I have trust issues. And Xanax delivery on speed-dial." CARRIE (making prayer-hands): "You should be speed-dialing a therapist, or at least a chatbot." STASSIE (pointing dramatically): "You know what, Carrie? You can take your twisted-up liver and go straight back to 1994. You peaked at that year's Miss Inbred Smackdown!" CARRIE (posing): "How dare you. You are in the presence of Miss Human Wax Figure 2001 and Miss Tasty Taco runner-up of '98, thank you!" LEXIE (benzo-rage): "Why don't you all eat a piece of bread and calm down! Hardly even worth getting myself vassinated to be around you heifers." [PROSECCO TAKES FLIGHT ACROSS THE ROOM] Aimed at nobody in particular, the glass shatters against the wall. The room gasps. A slow drip of bubbly orange juice trails down. Then silence. STASSIE (to camera, deadpan): Brunch is over. [TEXT ON SCREEN]: Next time on Real Housewives of Carlsbad: A goat yoga class goes off the rails. Carrie buys a pair of Herman Munster shoes. Lexie starts a podcast. With Brad Pittman. Pro tip: Park Hyatt Aviara is a Five-Diamond luxury hotel and spa. And for those who enjoy activities where the winner is the one who does the least, the best golf course anywhere. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Spanish colonial style resort is set among 200 lush acres of rolling hills. We enjoy everything about this place but nothing tops their dramatic brunch service.

I booked a cabana for a day via Resort Pass. We got complimentary valet parking upon arrival. The check in process was quick and easy. We got key cards from the reception desk and then went downstairs to the pool area. We were the first ones there and they gave us a cabana right next to the slides when we asked for it. The cabana had a refrigerator and a tv for entertainment. The pool staff brought us complimentary water, soda, fruit salad and chips and guac. We ordered some food and drinks and they were reasonable for a 5-star resort. The staff checked in on us once in a while. Kids were having fun with the water slides (open 11am to 4pm). It was very relaxing by the pool. I would stay here next time for a staycation.

(2/5) We booked a stay at Park Hyatt Aviara and paid for a pool suite upgrade. We agreed to no early check-in and planned our day accordingly. The issue arose when the room was not ready well past the prior guest's checkout window. We were told 4:00 pm, then 4:20 pm, and ultimately waited over four hours beyond the latest checkout time while being repeatedly asked to wait another 20-30 minutes. During this time, our family waited on property with no access to the room and were at risk of missing a 5:30 dinner reservation. We escalated to on-site management and asked for any reasonable service recovery--waiving the upgrade fee, refunding the points used, or offering an alternative. None was offered. Janet who identified herself as manager was condescending, passive aggressive, and seemed to revel in the little sliver of power she'd been granted. What was most disappointing was the lack of flexibility or problem-solving from management despite the significant delay. We were told checkout for the prior guest was 4:00 pm, which conflicted with Hyatt's stated policies, and no reconciliation or accommodation was provided. The property itself is beautiful, but the service recovery and management response did not align with expectations for a Park Hyatt stay, particularly when a paid room category is not delivered within a reasonable timeframe.

This resort is just absolutely gorgeous. it was very clean and well organized. You can see that so much detail is maintained here to ensure an amazing experience. We valet our car and they took very good care of it. The food was delicious. The gym was very well equipped. The views were beautiful overall wonderful stay highly recommend.

This hotel has amazing views from every angle. I four spiders in my room so I do think they need to spray but it might be because I was on the first floor. I would recommend for a fancy's weekend.

Do not book here. We booked a room with two beds for our stay and the room was not available upon arrival. The room they gave us was not suitable for our family's sleeping arrangements not to mention it was disgusting. The carpet was damp and shower was slimy and rusted. I kindly emailed the manager asking for a refund. They refused to refund us despite the fact that the original room we booked was not available and cleanliness was unacceptable.

If you're in Carlsbad and want an amazing place to stay, the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is a great choice! The resort has beautiful grounds, nice rooms with comfortable betting and towels. The staff are wonderful, friendly and accommodating! Their event services are well done. Food is fresh and tasty. Servers are efficient and friendly. Convention facilities can accommodate a wide range of guests. Service to the room appeared to be twice a day. Once to clean the room and another for bed turndown service later in the day. Super nice! I wish I had more time to play a round of golf here as I've heard great things!

Golf course maintenance crews are up and at it, around 6:30 in the morning(!!). Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep and, when asked to change rooms, they were booked and had nothing available for us. As for dining... "room service" is a joke where you order online, get charged $40 for them to bring it to your room and, it's cold by the time it gets there. We had Easter brunch at Vue which was just ok. I got the eggs Benedict which, when cut open, revealed clear runoff of barely cooked egg - instantly made my hunger disappear. For the amount of money it is to stay here, I think it's 1000% overrated and we'll skip it next time we're in SD, for sure. There's really no need to come here.

What I loved most was the room, especially the shower. It had a thoughtfully designed, thick glass door that opened easily. In most hotels, I hesitate before turning on the water, bracing for that sudden burst of heat overhead. But here, everything was arranged with care, so I could step in comfortably and enjoy the shower without that small anxiety. The details in the room made it even better--a Nespresso machine ready for a slow morning, and a proper water kettle, which always feels like a small luxury. The bed was soft and welcoming, the kind you sink into at the end of a long day. We didn't have an ocean view, but the patio had its own charm--quiet, intimate, and enough to make you pause. The best part, though, was the beach. Just a short walk down the stairs, and your feet meet the sand. The shoreline isn't wide, but it stretches beautifully along the coast. I found myself walking there in the mornings and again in the evenings, letting the rhythm of the waves mark the day. That simple routine--down the stairs, onto the sand--became the most memorable part of the stay.

When we got to the front desk to check in, we had to wait while staff checked in another guest, which was understandable. However, after waiting patiently, multiple guests who arrived after us were helped before we were. Even a family who walked in later was taken ahead of us, which was frustrating and set a negative tone right from the start. I asked about upgrading to an ocean view room and was offered a room for an additional $100 that barely had a view at all. On top of that, I had booked a room with two queen beds, and they tried to offer a one-king bed room instead, which didn't make sense for a family stay. Once we got to the room, the beds did not appear to be true queen size and the room had a strong unpleasant odor. The air conditioning did not cool properly, and some areas of the room did not seem clean. We tried to make the best of the evening since we were only staying one night. Later in the evening, after I had taken a shower and was simply walking around the room while my family watched TV, we received a noise complaint and someone knocked on our door. We were not being loud at all -- just normal movement in the room. It was surprising and honestly upsetting to be approached about noise when we were simply settling in for the night. It made the stay uncomfortable and took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing beach getaway. Overall, the cleanliness, room conditions, and customer service need improvement. The property has a great location, but our experience did not match the expectations.

I didn't get to try everything, but what I did try were the following and they were all absolutely delish! - Deviled eggs with truffles - Celery root purée with truffles - Toast with truffles - Dark chocolate truffle with truffles - Pear with bleu cheese & truffles The event was quite a success and I had a great time. The hotel itself was beautiful and very upscale. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. I had a chance to meet with Jessica, the Guest Experience Supervisor, who provided me a tour of the hotel where learned more about their restaurant, Seasons. This restaurant bases their menu off the current season's locally sourced veggies, hence the name. I look forward to coming back for a more intimate visit.

The breakfast burrito is good, though, and the view overlooking the golf course is beautiful. Overall, this place is incredibly relaxing. Staff is friendly and helpful, the resort is beautiful and clean, and the sales pitch is not as pushy as many others. They have a beautiful pool area with a great bar and food options, as well as a water slide and a close by fenced in playground. The resort also has a splash pad and smaller pool in another area of the resort, as well as a craft/activities room with tons of toys, art activities, DVDs to borrow, and shuffleboard. Outside of that area is a bocce ball court too. There are a ton of restaurants and stores nearby, and the full kitchen is great. The lock off rooms have a kitchenette, but we usually get a two bedroom through RCI. Guests do now pay $30 per night for parking, which seems a bit high, but they repeatedly tell us that owners don't have to pay for parking. The private back entrance to Legoland that you can use as a guest here is great to head there first thing in the morning and hop on some rides before the crowd at the front gate makes it towards the back. We'll be back and recommend this resort to anyone with kids.

Before we even arrived, we were contacted about attending a timeshare presentation. I politely declined, but that didn't seem to matter--they called my wife three more times and me twice more. It came off as pushy and honestly pretty tacky before the trip even started. Check-in was another rough start. We got there right at 3 PM, and there were about 10 people in line with only two employees working the front desk. We waited around 20 minutes with two tired, restless kids after a drive from Vegas. What made it more frustrating was seeing multiple employees near the entrance focused on pitching timeshares instead of helping with the line. Upon finally getting our room keys I had the luggage wagon completely packed and was trying to get to the elevator and one of the room cleaners/employees was on their phone and almost ran into me. I said OK thank you excuse me and they said nothing and just walked by me.... For about $250 a night plus parking, it's not the worst place I've stayed, especially in a nice area like Carlsbad--but there were some disappointing details. The sheets in our room had holes in them, which just shouldn't happen at this price point. The pool bar was also severely understaffed--one guy trying to handle everything, leading to long waits. And the prices? $37 for a Fireball shot and a beer... that one hurt, he may have poured and charged me a double I guess but I didn't ask for that. Overall, the biggest issue here is the lack of urgency and customer focus from much of the staff. It felt like the priority was selling timeshares rather than taking care of guests. Unfortunately, I wouldn't stay here again especially since the resort in the same parking lot across the way was way better last year.

Given the price point, you'd expect a lot more from your hotel, but there were several issues and I'll list them by bullet point to better point them out: * There was a slow leak coming from what looks like an attic opening on the ceiling. We were suspicious after the first night why there was a puddle of water on the ground near the entrance but was very surprised to find out later that it was actually a leak. We left our shoes in that area and unfortunately for me, the water splash got all over my Birkenstocks which has a cork footbed that should not be wet. * The shower leaks quite dramatically from the piping that comes out of the wall, and thus gives us less water pressure. * The coffee machine was not working. The button to start the machine is completely stuck and will not budge. * The TV appears to be very old. They offer Netflix but when you play anything, only the audio would play and the video is stuck on an endless buffering loop. * The hallway lights are super dim. I'm not sure if they are doing that on purpose to save on electricity but it reminds you of entering some hotel in a horror film where visibility is super low because of how dark it is. * The restaurant located inside the hotel is RIDICULOUS with their prices... For breakfast they offer milk and cereal...for $11. I mean c'mon. That's just straight up price gouging. The few positives were that the staff are really nice and accomodating, the beds are comfortable, and the private entrance was really convenient. We were expecting a lot more based on the price we paid and comparing to other hotels in the same tier and unfortunately was quite disappointed.
