At first glance the room is very cute and nicely decorated. It's very convenient to step right into legoland. The kids really enjoyed the dance party elevator and treasure hunt. I stayed in the DUPLO suite. I appreciate how the bathroom was very kid friendly. There's kid safe soap and potty. Complete with a step. Complimentary drinks and a fridge. There is 1 microwave in the hallway where the ice machine is at but there is a fridge and coffee maker in the room. Once you get over the awe of the room you can see the carpet is heavily stained from prior guest, my kids bunk bed room had a light per bunk. The top bunk's light was not working. That room also had a TV. That TV did not work because it was registered for another room and that other room has not checked in yet so the kids couldn't watch tv in their room. I have 3 kids and was trying to put them to bed at 9pm. In the hallway and the floor above us kids were thumping, running and yelling. I waited until 9:30pm to call front desk since it never quieted down. I asked if there was a quiet time as it's unreasonably loud. The floors and walls are thin. You can hear more than you want. I was told quiet time was not until 10pm. I felt as if it was a cheap motel house party going on. We also did not get to enjoy the pool area as it was over crowded. My kids loved the decor and legos all over the place but for the price it was not worth it. I'm an hour in to putting my kids to bed and the thumping has not stopped. I was told to call back after 10 and they'll have security look into it. Maybe I just got unlucky and got stuck near a rowdy crowd. I understand it's a kids themed park and this hotel caters to kids but certain behaviors should be kept in checked just for common courtesy. At the very least there should be some better sound proofing. I'd strongly consider staying somewhere else in the future. This hotel is not a matter of comfort but more for convenience.

We had the best time at the Legoland hotel! From parking, to check in, the process was super easy. The kiddos ran straight to the play areas and were excited to experience everything the hotel had. The rooms were clean and a good size. The kids loved the bunk bed area! It would be nice to have a dining table, but we figured the space out otherwise. The hotel has 2 restaurants and a snack lounge and everyone is super helpful. At the cafe I went to buy waters and they told me they can provide ice water cups for free. This was so helpful and a really nice touch. One of the days there was a ton of rain, but all of the indoor hotel activities made up for it! The kiddos enjoyed the arcade, disco dance party, lego build show and tell, story time, and bingo. They didn't want to go back to the room and it was super late in the evening. While it was fairly crowded - and adults can be worse than kiddos at times...the staff handled it well and ensured everyone had a great time. We have now stayed at both the castle and the original hotel, and truly only this hotel a bit more. Highly recommended for a great family vacation/staycation.

I would like to personally thank Dylan and Nathan for helping me accommodate my special needs Son Andrew. Andrew has sensitivity to loud music, and is very routine based if we change even the slightest routine he can have a very disregulated Day. However, Nathan and Dylan went above and beyond to help Andrew not only in a great room but also have helped us by accommodating us into a suite that worked for Andrew. Additionally, I would also like to Alexis, Xavier and team in the cafe for sitting us in a location that worked for Andrew away from the loudness. Thank you, Legoland team!!

This was our first family vacation with our daughter who is 17 months old. After looking at airbnbs close to the area, we decided to stay at at the Legoland Hotel and we are absolutely thrilled that we did! Having a small child who still takes a nap during the day, it was incredibly convenient to be able to go to the park in the morning, then back to the hotel for a nap, then go back to the park once nap time was over! The room was clean, the decor was adorable, the pools were the perfect temperature for swimming and my daughter was obsessed with the disco ball in the elevator! This place is designed for kids, while at the same time, also letting the adults have fun too. My husband and I were able to snag some espresso martinis at the mini lounge area while our daughter played with the Legos in the pirate ship in the lobby. We will without a doubt be doing another family vacation here at the hotels on the property.

Legoland San Diego! Well after 5 nights in their Friends themed hotel and many days in the park there are quite a few things worth reviewing. This was our first trip to Legoland, so everything was hectic and unfamiliar, but after seeing how everything works, I have to say that they have a pretty good system there. And there is A LOT TO DO! Around every corner is another neat thing for kids to do. Well done. So there are two hotels at legoland, the Friend's themed hotel, and the castle hotel. We were in the friends, and they had tons of cool pictures on the walls, see pictures, but also know that the pool at the friends hotel does NOT have a hot tub, and the castle hotel pool DOES have a hot tub. Guests from either hotel are allowed to use pools in both hotels, so that's good. Also the BRICKS restaurant in the Friends hotel is awesome because it's an all you can eat buffet, and they have EVERYTHING kids love and adults too. This is the best option for large families. You simply make reservations for the time you want, either breakfast or dinner. And they have an AMAZING text based room service and hotel housekeeping number you can simply text whatever you need and it appears! The castle hotel restaurant is ok too, but it's MUCH pricier, and there are no refills on the food. We are there with 5 the last night and it was nearly $200, so I highly recommend BRICKS for value. The park was neat, but it filled up super fast. As a hotel guests you can access 45 min early to the attractions but the dumb thing is that many of them aren't open till ten anyway. And after going on ALL the best rides, it it our family's official opinion that the Emmett's flying adventure was the most fun ride, even above the roller coasters. On Saturday I went out briefly to run an errand and when I returned there was not a single parking place available in their lot of many thousands. So I didn't know what to do, I thought the hotel had its own lot, but it doesn't so I went to the valet and I explained the whole thing and they had to valet park me and didn't charge me extra. There was one thing that needed to change and it was bad enough for me that I'm taking a full star off the 5 star review. Just so you understand, this place was nice and I would give them a 5 star review EXCEPT for their TOILET PAPER! It was like 80 grit sandpaper! It was truly a horrific bathroom experience every morning. Painful. If you have a five star Resort and you want five star reviews, you have to include decent and soft toilet paper. So the Legoland vacation was pretty good, except their toilet paper was a PAIN IN THE BUTT!! Overall I recommend Legoland, but I also recommend bringing your own charmin.

My kids had a blast, but the room was filthy and smelled awful. The carpet seemed to have a lingering smell of sweaty feet, and it was honestly unbearable. Great staff and amazing for kids (pool, disco, restaurant, play area etc.), but so loud! It's like living in a never-ending indoor playground. But my son loves here surely.

Want your kids to have the most memorable hotel stay? Want to just rest after a long day of kids theme park? Want easy access to the park? Early access to Legoland? Want free breakfast buffet for the family? Want to do a Lego chest treasure hunt in the lobby area of each hotel? (And get a free Lego baggie?) Want to keep them entertained all day and night? Want a disco party? Party inside the Elevator with lights and spinning ball? Friendly staff? Themed rooms? Bunk bed with an additional pull out bed? Pool? Arcade at night? Free Charge Point EV charging? And much much more? This place got it all. First time before the kids get too old! (Actually our 18 year old is enjoying this too! LOL) Come n try! Price is a little steep BUT! It's breakfast included, and the room fits up to 3 kids with the bunk with a pull out bed and the main bed can fit a kid with a parent as well.

My grandkids and I had an amazing time here. I highly recommend this hotel and we will return in the future

    What's this????
    Matthew G.

You had one job. One job.... The hotels room bathroom had so much potential to make things "LEGO" the mirror frame, bath towel hooks, the shower soap holder, and the bath/shower wall tiles. I mean this is owned by LEGO right????? Don't even get me started with the tv wire cluster mess behind every tv. Lawsuit waiting to happen.... The cables exposed like that (electrocution) and long lengths so someone can un alive themselves (hanging). This place needs to really get things in order.

Ask the Community - Legoland Hotel

Can anyone tell me the prices for every fee when staying at the LegoLand hotel?

I don’t know where the final bill is. We like really nice hotels and rented the Ninjago suite Halloween weekend, we won’t do it again. There are plenty of fees though

Which themed room is on the top floor at the legoland California hotel, ninjago/pirate/adventure/knights/friends theme rooms? Thanks!

We had the Ninjago suite and it was on the ground floor

Dose anyone know how much the deposit is?

Our deposit when we got to the hotel was $250

Hello, is there a spot I can view the room layouts for the Legoland hotel? Just trying to see if there is a private room or if it's an open layout.

It is one room. The kids space is small. If you have younger children it is good but I went with both toddler and teens and had wished we had gotten two rooms for a little privacy.

    Do you provide cribs?

Hello Carlos! Thank you for your inquiry about the accommodations we offer at the LEGOLAND Hotel!…

If you're staying at the Legoland Hotel, do you really need to reserve your complimentary breakfast every morning? If so, how do you reserve it?

Yes. The Front Desk will give you a sheet with QR codes on it that you can use to make reservations for all the restaurants in the hotel.

Can you fully access both hotels (like pools and outside playground) even if you're staying at the other? We are staying at the Legoland Hotel but have heard the outside play areas are better at the Castle Hotel and would like to enjoy both areas.

NO. We tried our key card at the Castle hotel to go into the play area and it diidn't work. It's lame, I know, since it is a resort, but they want you to pay for the privilege at either property. You can eat at either restraurant though, but the…

Is there a parking fee on top of a resort fee for legoland hotel? thank you very much,

    Yes.

Does the hotel issue wrist bands?

No they do not issue wrist bands.

So our passes are giving an error code is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm assuming you mean when trying to make a reservation to visit the park? If you are staying at the hotel there is no need to make a Reservation at the park. Hope this helps! 😊

Does anyone know why they require reservations and the links are not valid/ barcodes error message and even the booking number can't be found? Is this only for CDC…

If you have reservations at the hotel you do not need to make reservations for the park.

Is the pool indoor or outdoor? Is the game room Decent?

    Is the pool heated?

    Yes

Anyone know if there a mini refrigerator in the room for personal use?

Hi Mei W, All of our rooms in both LEGOLAND Hotel and Castle Hotel have refrigerators in their…

Which hotel would you recommend? Legoland or Castleland?! First vacation trip to Legoland and I can't decide which hotel to stay at!

I would recommend staying at the Legoland Hotel. There are more activities and play areas for the kids. You have the dance room, theme show, arcade area, and the lego build-out(which the castle one does as well). Both hotels are located right at the…

Is there a hot tub in the hotel?

Sorry I can't remember if there was one or not. We didn't even get the chance to use the pool while there because we went to the water part and had our fill there. But I do recommend bringing your own pool towels.

Can you book the hotel only if you have existing tickets?

Dear Alexis H, Thank you for your recent inquiry! You may book either LEGOLAND Hotels with or…

Are the rooms noisy (are the walls thin like some people mentioned that stayed at the Legoland Castle Hotel)? And are the rooms very clean?

I stayed at the castle hotel in April of this year and we could hear the people clearly speaking in the room next door. So yes thin walls lol. I've stayed at the original hotel 4 times but didn't have that problem. The was very clean though.

My husband had just finished working six consecutive shifts at the fire department, and we were simply looking forward to a nice evening together. As we entered the parking lot, two men in a golf cart crossed in front of our vehicle. My husband honked, and there was later a brief verbal exchange about what had happened. There were no threats or physical confrontation from us, and we believed the matter was over. Later, while we were still seated at our dinner table, a woman we had never met approached us and began questioning us about the parking-lot interaction. She told us that she and her husband were club members, repeatedly referenced their membership, said she had never seen us there before, and told us she "didn't want any problems in the future." I cannot speak to what she intended, but the encounter made both of us feel intimidated, unwelcome, and extremely uncomfortable. We later learned that an Aviara Country Club member event was being held at the restaurant that evening. After dinner, we discovered that our vehicle had been extensively damaged while parked on the property. Carlsbad Police investigated, and surveillance footage from the property documented what occurred. An individual associated with the earlier parking-lot encounter became the alleged suspect during the investigation. Our vehicle ultimately sustained nearly $15,000 in repair costs. I am intentionally not identifying anyone or making any statement about guilt. I am simply describing what my husband and I experienced that evening. What has disappointed us most is Park Hyatt Aviara's response afterward. I personally contacted hotel management and was told that Hyatt was cooperating with police, which we appreciated. We were also told that someone from Aviara Golf Club management would contact us to discuss what happened. That call never came. I understand that a hotel cannot control the actions of every person on its property, and I am not assigning legal responsibility to Hyatt. My concern is how we were treated as guests after such a serious and disturbing experience. We experienced an uncomfortable confrontation during dinner, left to discover nearly $15,000 in damage to our vehicle, and had to involve law enforcement. Yet we never felt the level of concern, communication, or follow-through we expected from a five-star property. That is what has been most disappointing. We chose Park Hyatt Aviara because we expected exceptional hospitality and guest care consistent with the Park Hyatt name. Instead, we left feeling uncomfortable, unsupported, and profoundly disappointed. I sincerely hope Park Hyatt Aviara considers how guests are cared for when something goes seriously wrong during their visit.

We appreciated the complementary breakfast. The towels and bedding were clean, and the hotel staff kept providing fresh, clean towels throughout the day, which was a nice touch. The beach attendants were friendly, the hotel provides sand toys for kids, and we really enjoyed the live music in the evenings. The location is excellent and made it easy to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room upon arrival was disappointing. The toilet seat had what appeared to be blood or feces on it, there was urine around the base of the toilet, which made it seem like the bathroom floor hadn't even been mopped, and there were crumbs and bits of food, along with a few dead bugs, around the beds. Thankfully, I had hand sanitizer with me and cleaned the bathroom before my children used it. A few other things to note: the balcony door was difficult to open, there was no screen door, and the complimentary beach chairs are quite small and may not be comfortable for larger adults. The sheets also seemed too small for the mattresses and kept coming off the corners during the night, which made sleeping less comfortable, no mattress covers. The beach itself is beautiful but fairly small, so it becomes crowded quickly. One suggestion for future guests: please rinse the sand off before you are getting into the pool, I witnessed people rinsing off im the pool after beach then after 2-3 minutes they came out and went upstairs. The pool is not a shower and the sand on the bottom of the pool hurt. Also, once you're finished using the beach loungers, remove your towels instead of leaving them behind. It was difficult to tell which chairs were actually occupied and which were available because many loungers had towels left on them. Overall, this hotel has a fantastic location and several nice amenities, but better attention to room cleanliness and a few small improvements would make a big difference. * also bring water shoes, the rocks at the beach are very painful*

I used my Hilton Honors points to stay for the weekend because I was burying my mother the following day. During an already difficult and emotional time, I expected a comfortable stay and at least a basic level of hospitality. Instead, I felt as though I was treated like someone who had just joined Hilton Honors. Before arriving, I selected a room on the third floor and completed mobile check-in specifically to accommodate my PTSD and help me feel more comfortable. However, when I physically arrived, the front-desk receptionist appeared unfamiliar with my reservation and checked me into a room on the first floor. I explained that I was a Diamond member and had deliberately selected a third-floor room, but my preference was still not honored. The room itself was also inadequate. The furniture was chipped and damaged, and the room had hard flooring with no carpet, making it feel cold and uncomfortable compared with what I expected from a Homewood Suites property. To make matters worse, the receptionist also failed to provide the two complimentary bottles of water offered to Diamond members. I understand that mistakes happen, but the overall lack of attention, recognition, empathy, and customer service was unacceptable. I was using my points during one of the most difficult weekends of my life, and Homewood Suites Carlsbad certainly made me feel anything but welcomed. I am shocked that this is how Homewood Suites treats a Diamond member who has remained loyal to Hilton for more than ten years.

For families this makes a lot more sense. If I put myself as a kid, this place would actually be pretty cool -- pool, free breakfast, big room, waffle maker, space to move around. That's why I was leaning 4 stars at first. But had to drop it to 3 out of 5 because the toilet in the room was leaking, which you don't expect at this price and at a newer hotel. Little things like that matter, especially with family staying in the room. Overall 3 out of 5. Good value, family friendly, but needs better maintenance. Would still consider staying again for the price.

The staff are always nice. Isaiah answered my phone call and helped me a very nice room at a reasonable price. Thank you Isaiah I've never gone in and had the breakfast in the morning but tomorrow I will. I will take pictures. It is beautiful.

We stayed in a room with two queen beds. It was a nice size room on the fourth floor. Not much of a view since the hotel backs into the side of a mountain. The bathroom was also a nice size without it being a handicap room. The shower had no pressure, so that really stank. Please note that it is pet-friendly, so you just that in mind if you have pet dander allergies. The hotel itself is only five years old, so still really new. Our stay included breakfast, and it had most of your standards: sausage, eggs, hashbrown, fruit, yogurt, etc. What was so great was the made to order omelettes! They had a good variety of ingredients, so it was fun to make your own. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Didn't use any of the amenities, so I can't speak to that knowledgeably.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Chase-- excellent customer service. He was even able to get us checked into our room early so we could settle in and head straight down to the pool. Thanks Chase! The kids had the best time splashing around while my husband and I enjoyed piña coladas with an ocean view. The hotel also offers complimentary bikes to check out, so we took a family bike ride along the coast, which ended up being a true highlight for our girls. From the amazing food at the restaurant to the beautiful setting and genuinely wonderful staff, Cape Rey really stands out. It was the perfect little family escape, and we can't wait for our next stay!

I believe Daniel was the gentleman who checked us in, and he was so kind and welcoming. Our stay was overall wonderful. The hotel is very contemporary for a beach hotel. The parking ($40/daily) is a bit steep given the base price for the hotel, and I hope down the road they'll update the hot tub section to mirror the beautiful pool area. Overall, I'd stay here again.

Parking: Valet only $60 overnight Concierge and receptionist table is very simple and 1 person helping only, she is Super duper sweet and helpful. She checked us in, and since we booked via Amex, we received complimentary: - Suite upgrades - early check in - guarantee 4pm check out - daily breakfast for 2 - In room wifi - and $150 resort credit apply for restaurant, spa etc. This place has a e-bike, paddle board an surf board for guests to use anytime complimentary. If you happened to stay in 2nd floor, which they only have 3 floors, where Vaga restaurant is, to find your room is kinda tricky. Look at the signage and the room are through the double door, on your left when you face the restaurant. It requires your keycard access to enter through the double door. The room is so relaxing, the vibe is comforting. It has complimentary coffee, nespresso tea and bottle water. You can ask for more water at concierge. Look at the real life I believe eucalyptus stem on top of the shower head, love it. There's also a gym and spa in 1st floor, also access to beach. We asked for recommended restaurant around the area, she gave a 4 pages list of restaurant and little shops 2nd floor - has venue area with spacious gathering area and balcony overlooking the beach. Evening: you can enjoy cocktails on VAGA restaurant overlooking the beach with outdoor fireplace and patio. Fyi: the room has thin walls. We can hear ppl talking, walking, running on hall way every moment. So on our final bill: They comp all our daily breakfast including tips and room service delivery. They automatically deduct $150 resort credit regardless you spend under. It will apply to any other fees. Like it because they don't Knicks pick every single expenses, that shows their reputation and their hotel guests matter over little charges. Overall, love this place. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Johnny was the only one at the front desk handling everything when I arrived. He was great, personable and still made us feel welcome. The property is beautiful. The 7 Mile Kitchen has good food, the Grab and Go Gelato and coffee is good as well. Our ponto suite was okay. It was interesting having the "living room" area in a hallway. I felt it was meant for a family with small children. However the beds were comfortable. The next night I spoke with David and Grace at the front desk. They were so kind and approachable. I appreciate it!

So we need to went back to the lobby to make sure where the room located. Second, they didn't inform us that we will be charged for $10 each day for borrowing microwave. Third, the complementary coffee never been refilled after 10 A.M. the first day, I was there around 9:30 to get some coffee but the creamer was out. So I informed the receptionist name 'Maria' and instead of assisting, she told me to request it to the staff at the restaurant. The second day, I was there around 10 AM and no more coffee. When I asked the waitress at the restaurant, they said the coffee is not meant for hotel guests instead it's for corporate people. Very confusing. Fourth, the cleaning staff didn't really pay attention to the details like shampoo, body wash, bottle water, and tea. I have to called the front desk everyday to asked for the refill. Also there's no signal for Verizon provider so it needs to get connected to the Wi-Fi. I really hope they can be more informative and pay attention to the details in the room.
