It was a wonderful break from all the walking and exploring we did in the rest of the park. They have a variety of play and attraction types from small splash pads for younger kids to larger water rides, as well as areas where you could just sit back, relax and take in the atmosphere. The Lego theming throughout the park is one of its best features and added to making this water park stand out! There are many fun Lego details throughout the park too. I think that it can be quite crowded, which is why I recommend arriving early so you will have enough time to explore before the crowds arrive. This was a fantastic addon to our day at Legoland and an awesome way to escape from the heat in a summer afternoon!

Despite by the time we're on the trip in April, it was going to be a cold - 60-70s and maybe rainy day. Tried to convince him otherwise but he made up his mind months ago, haha. Well it turned out that the son came out on our day but it was still cold, mid-60's. Unfortunately Chime park side was closed. Forgot when I sold this park initially to him that LEGOLAND is geared towards the younger age. As is the water park, the slides and rides are on the smaller kid age. So it should be perfect for son sons age of 5, but he has been to larger water parks and rode the big thrilling rides. So he had fun there, but he said it's bay ride slides haha. Then add on to that the wind chills and temperature. Our waterpark adventure ended pretty quickly. We did however make the rest of the day in the theme park end. By the way to go to the water park you need to also have tickets for the theme park as it's inside the theme park.

Perfect for those who arent tall enough for the other attractions but not worth it if you have to ride it the entire day if your visit. Never a long line at worth a ride at least once. Be back soon.

Legoland…read moredoes not have a ceiling fan ride, but it does have Cargo Ace, a toddler-friendly airplane ride in the Land of Adventure. Wade had been burned at Sky Patrol earlier in the day, crying as he watched his 40"+ brother Leo B. go up and down in a yellow helicopter. We were relieved to run across Cargo Ace, where the only requirement was that our child be able to stand on his own. He had to demonstrate his ability to the attendant and was ready to run and jump onto one of the airplanes if necessary. The ride was simple and fun, a few spins on a cute two-seater airplane hanging from a moving track. Designed for babies, but enjoyable for grown-ups, especially when you factor in the pleasure of watching your children lose their minds. Leo had a blast, and Wade was in airplane heaven. He shouted, "AGAIN!" the second the ride stopped, and I carried him off screaming before getting right back in line. Thankfully, this was not a busy ride. We went on three times without waiting longer than one go-around, and could have ridden even more if we weren't looking to move on with our lives. Cargo Ace was the highlight of Wade's day at Legoland. We'll be sure to hit it on every visit until the boys get big enough to want bigger thrills.

Parking is street parking only and when the park is crowded, you'll end up parking a ways away. There's one porta-potty. It is cleaned on a regular basis- I saw the truck and there's a cleaning log inside the stall! There's also one basketball court. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this park but I would stop by if I was in the area.

Park is in nice shape and was very quiet on a Monday on a holiday. The weather was gray and started raining a little so that could have something to do with it. It was nice to see dog owners walking their dogs and letting them roam around taking full advantage of what the park has to offer. It is very close to a gate to enter Camp Pendleton. There is plenty of geocaching nearby too.

There is a cafe on site. It has a few picnic tables, some trees, and athletic areas. Cons It is crowded. The parking lot is crowded. Street parking is crowded. It is noisy with the ocean, the traffic, the trains, etc. The restroom is not very clean or nice. The picnic tables do not have shade. If you need a small park, in that area, give it a try. It has a nice view of the ocean. You can walk up and down the street that it is on, and have nice views. You just have to deal with crowds and noise. Photos attached.

This is a nice little open field park with a paved track roughly 1/4 long. There isn't too much shade except for a few trees here and there. There's a nice breeze when you run since its on top of a hill. There are no water fountains so be sure to bring water. The park is dog friendly but they do not supply doggie bags for easy pet cleanup. The park is pretty clean and the times I've gone it hasn't been busy. The neighborhood is pretty safe. The park is located behind McAuliffe Elementary School and is accessible off of Rancho Del Oro. There is a small parking lot for maybe 6 cars or so but you could also park in the street. There are no bathrooms on site so be sure to use the potty before arriving.

Since we are already making the big commute every day, we usually put the bike rack on the car and bring our bikes (we also change it up and bring scooters or the hoverboard, sometimes we will look for a park that has tennis courts and bring the racquets or a basketball/football/soccer ball to get out of the house, so we are almost never at the same park twice in a row. In fact, we look for new parks that we have never been to before to get some new scenery in or just to check it out so we know which ones are good for certain activities and which ones we should probably avoid! This makes reviewing each of them on Yelp! an easily referenced tool when looking to head out with specific items. It's usually quiet when we head out to most parks, but the ones in Carlsbad and San Marcos/Vista tend to be much larger than what we can find in Fallbrook and Oceanside, so after school park trips are usually spent either close to school or completely out of the way (since we've got to make the long drive home anyway, might as well get a little energy run off before heading home for dinner and homework! This was a pleasant surprise, because I'd called it when we first came here and said that it was in a bad spot. However, I think I might have either been thinking of a different park altogether (it happens when the signs all look the same and the general layout is similar!) or they updated this very recently. I don't remember coming here at all until just recently. The blue painted benches are clean and always seem so much more comfortable than they appear to be, they're metal, but I think they coat them with something that makes them less prone to burn in the heat. Whatever it is, the benches are great if you're not engaged in playing (but seriously, at least watch your kiddos and don't stare at your phone the entire time, it's really a beautiful little space and the playground is even labeled (I'm not sure if this is a thing for every Oceanside park; but they do all seem to have the age theme down). Yes, there's dog walking here. That's usually a big "nope" for me on the Yelp!-o-meter. However, they've placed doggie bags in those upright containers that dispense from the bottom, so there's no excuse for mommas and poppas of my furry friends to neglect to pick up after their babies! That's likely strategic placement the planners had in mind when they started to develop this little spot into a park. I give them credit for the stars that this beautiful park merits. Just taking the one star back because there is dog walking, and I'm really wondering where the non-dog walking parks in Oceanside are, because I see them everywhere, and the bags get pulled out by kids and thrown everywhere while others don't seem to see them after their pup makes a poo, leaving future parkcomers to wait it out until it either rains or nature reclaims the mess for itself. I'm really digging this park though- doggies and all, so if it remains free from feces, I may have to come back and change my review sometime in the future. :)
