This is my daughters second cleaning since moving to Utah. I didn't get to attend to her first, so…read morethis was my first experience with Dr. Kevin Brown and his staff. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and Dr. Kevin is very informative. I also really liked how he thanks his staff repeatedly as well as the patients in his care, and the parents for bringing them in an allowing him to treat the patients. Based on my first experience today, I was impressed that he spent quality time with each patient and their parent, he was able to fit us in for sealants rather than make us schedule another appointment. The only issue I had was that the checkout lady gave me a significantly higher price for the sealants than Dr. Kevin mentioned. He specifically mentioned that our insurance covers them, she tried charging me $95. I came home to find my treatment plan and it's only $8. She charged me for fluoride which I think is covered also. But I accepted that even tho I think I was still overcharged for services my insurance covers. We'll see what our EOB says. Office was clean, and I watched them clean after every patient. Definitely happy we chose Alpine Kids for our pediatric dentist.

I have been coming here since they opened and loved Dr Brown and the cute environment. However, my…read morelatest experience shocked me and left me very hurt. My last visit was for a cleaning for all four of my children which I made 6 months ago/last year. Before the visit, they confirmed my appointment vis text and that I would be doing self-pay because my insurance had expired, and due to our financial circumstances, we do not have dental insurance this year. WHEN I ARRIVED, I was told the cost of the visit. I was already there and known there would be a cancellation fee at that point, so I felt like it was too last to cancel or change my mind. I was already emotional that morning from other personal struggles, unknown to the staff, and throughout the visit I was holding back tears with the overwhelming financial burden. This unexpected cost just tipped my emotions and I spent the rest of the visit trying not to cry. While each staff member was doing their job and asking me their routine questions, I was short in my responses as I mentally was trying to figure out the best way to pay and texting my husband about what to do at the same time. I left the appointment embarrassed and hurt. A few days later, I called to set up my kids necessary cavity appointment & hopes to ask for financial aid. On the phone the lady told me that I was not allowed back because I had "offended" the employees and made them "uncomfortable" -- I was SHOCKED. I was the one that was embarrassed and felt like none of the front office ladies even gave me an ounce of sympathy or concern but instead just watched me cry. After the call, I even reached out to the Dentist and carefully explained my side. I had no intention of offending anyone at the office and hoped that as a valued, consistent client, he would be more understanding. I had never had a problem with any of the employees there ever. Even though he responded kindly, I am still not allowed back. I am extremely hurt. Why should I be judged by my worse day, rather than given the benefit of the doubt for all my years of loyalty and kindness. My review is not meant to destroy this good business. I simply hope the next person the staff struggles with is handled more carefully - with a little more empathy and little less judgement.

He also had a significant upper lip tie that we decided to have revised since he was already going under anesthesia. We got there early (they take them based on age since they are fasting) and the nurse anesthetist met with us and answered all our questions. Then they brought out a goodie box so he could pick out a prize while they sneakily gave him a shot to zonk him out. I read books to him while he fell asleep, then he went back. Procedure was quick and they took great care of him. Dr. Burt was the one who did the revision and fixed his tooth and he was so kind. He even sent me a text later that night to check on the kiddo. My son had no discomfort at all from the laser revision. After the anesthesia wore off he acted like nothing happened and went about his day and was eating and drinking normally with no issue. It's been a couple of weeks now and healed up nicely.

My husband switched jobs so our dental insurance changed which left me looking for another new…read moredentist for my family. I got many recommendations for this dental office and figured I'd give them a try. I asked to be scheduled with Dr. Gordon since a family member said he was the best. To my surprise at my appointment I received a different dentist, I don't remember which one it was but he did just fine. I also got another different dentist for my filling the last time I went who was also good. They did my filling in about 30 minutes and offer laughing gas for $15. Their numbing agent worked quickly and wore off within two hours or so which I really liked since I hate half of my face being numb all day long. You are required to wear a mask going into their office then once you are in your chair you can remove it. All the staff is very friendly.

She was funny, laidback and sweet. I will recommend her every single time. Thanks Hannah for the good laughs.* Very very pleseant first experience! My hygienist, Rebeckah, was the sweetest and gentle person. She made me feel very comfortable and heard my concerns genuinely. When I finally met Dr. Gordon at the end of my cleaning, she was also kind and heard my concerns as well. It's very hard for me to trust a brand new dentist whom I barely know, but he made it very easy to trust him (I will update this review after he replaces my fillings...). For a first impression, it was very comfot *Improvements: If I am to bring my kids here for treatment as well, I would love to see more toy options in the kid corner, as well as more child-friendly environment in the treatment areas. Great for teenagers though.

The surgery was easy and healed so good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Facility is clean and entertaining for children. But that's kinda it.. The dentist himself is a nice guy but in business terms kinda pushy. They insisted my daughter, and I have friend who has a daughter (he's a pediatrician actually) that they cap a baby tooth. My daughters tooth fell out less than a year later. The office staff is unfriendly all the time. I was on Medicaid at one point and they failed to make sure it was covered when I called before the appointment in the first place. So when all was said and done at this appt they billed me right there. No insurance? She said sorry it's not covered I can't do anything about it. I asked if I could possibly do some kind of payment plan and they said we don't do that here. She insisted no dentist offices she's heard of does that with a serious attitude. Which is crazy because growing up my mom made sure we had good care for our teeth at everything else's expense and they always did payment plans. With all the braces, lost retainers, cleanings, how could anyone afford all that, all the time in one lump sums? I think the dentist got word of this case, thankfully, and gave a discount, however it was incredibly small. I didn't need a discount, though appreciated the thought, I needed a payment plan so I could put food on the table! I think she felt a tad remorseful and made a bit of a deal by going and chatting with the manager or the dentist in the back and said we can do half now, half later. That was like $250 right up front still! With a person on Medicaid... I just cant believe there was such little to no compassion. The dentist insisted on a procedure that was deemed fairly unnecessary, even by a pediatrician who a general sense of health of and desire to care for a human body. I'm sorry we looked elsewhere for a pediatric dentist.
