Unfortunately I did not sleep a wink here, I am a super light sleeper and unfortunately the room next to ours had a couple of baritone guys that woke up at 4:30 in the morning ughhh...the beds were not the most comfy unfortunately either adding to a bit of my suffering as well. Giving it 4 stars. I unfortunately should have gotten some earplugs after the first night. I felt like they were talking to me since their convo was so close to our headboard. Owners seemed to go above and beyond so probably unfortunately just the loud guests we were next to combined with my light sleeping tendencies!!!

What a charming place!…read more We were traveling from Naples to Orlando, but wanted to visit "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel, so I called a few days before we got there to make a resesrvation at Tarpon Tale Inn. We had a brief misunderstanding about the length of our stay (just one night, but next time much longer), immediately resolved by Joe. A day or so before our visit, we got a detailed text describing the check-in process. The day of our visit, we got another text when the room was ready (about an hour before regular check-in). We were on a NWR drive-through at the time, and made it to Tarpon Tale within a half hour or so. When we got there, Joe met us, helped with our luggage, and then gave us a tour of the facility, directions to the beach, pulled out a beach chair for us, and introduced us to the happy little Tokay Gecko on the fence. He pointed out the ice cream parlor and restaurant across the street, and the coffee and bagel place next door. We got a room with a very nice queen bed, a small but well-provisioned kitchen, and a modern bathroom. We elected to have dinner at Gramma Dot's (at the marina nearby) and ice cream across the street. We slept very well in the quiet of a Sanibel evening, and checked out the next morning for another loop through the National Wildlife Refuge and to continue on our way to Orlando.

Offered water and a cocktail! Told me all the info I needed and made an excellent lunch suggestion. Gym nice and nice size (4 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, diff types of bikes, including a working recumbent bike. Lobby bar Amazing view from my room. Clean room Soft towels Cutest best makeup mirror! Great coffee shop in lobby Great restaurant on site (Ellie Mae's- separate review) Beautiful rooftop bar Amazing amount of hot water and amazingly hot. And I mean HOT water. Finally a hotel gets it right!! Valet fast and friendly. Cons l The gym is on the same floor as meeting rooms. (Didn't affect me but would suck if I had meetings at the time I wanted to workout.) Weird artwork placement - it's like they put up the art then added the furniture.

He is an outstanding bartender who consistently creates a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere. Felix is friendly, quick with a joke, and genuinely attentive. He remembers people, engages in real conversation and makes every visit feel personal. One can tell he takes pride in what he does. Whether the bar is busy or slow, he goes out of his way to make sure everyone is having a great experience. It's rare to find someone who blends skill, personality, and hospitality this well. If you stop by, make sure to sit at the bar and say hi to Felix. He sets the tone for the entire place.

I stayed at the Marriott Sanibel Harbor Resort over the Fourth of July weekend. I had originally…read morehoped to stay in the main tower, but I'm actually glad I ended up in the Captiva Tower. It was noticeably quieter, the pool felt cleaner, and there was much less hustle and bustle. The room itself was comfortable and met my expectations. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were just right, and the view was enjoyable. One word of caution: the shower can get pretty slippery, so be careful. The resort offers a complimentary welcome drink, but I wouldn't really call it complimentary since there's a mandatory $35 daily resort fee that covers various amenities, many of which you may not even use. I also don't drink alcohol, so it wasn't much of a perk for me. I did take advantage of the 24-hour fitness center and was pleasantly surprised. There was a good variety of equipment, the treadmills worked well, and they provided complimentary towels, water, and even apples. My only criticism is that the gym could use a more thorough cleaning. One thing to know before booking is that this resort doesn't have a beach. That wasn't a dealbreaker for me because the pool was very nice. My mother and I drove to Sanibel Beach, which was only about 10-15 minutes away. However, parking was difficult to find, it costs $5 per hour, and the mosquitoes were relentless. Unless you're set on visiting the island, I'd recommend relaxing at the resort instead. The elevators worked well, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional. Overall, there wasn't anything particularly spectacular about this resort, but it provided a relaxing and enjoyable Fourth of July getaway for my family. I would recommend it to others. Personally, I probably wouldn't stay here again, although I wouldn't hesitate if it were my only option.

But the valet staff...especially the older gentleman-were so rude, cursed in front of customers-I had hoped the previous reviews were wrong.
